My friends and I loved coming here to escape the wild and loid crowds on a Saturday night. We were greeted with friendly service and they were happy to seat 10 people together quickly. The drinks were delicious! I ordered the pina colada which was sweet but also strong! read more

This was a recommendation from my sister during our travel to La Placita. We wanted drinks in a less chaotic environment. She did really good on this. Jungle Bird was set in a darker but comfy vibe. Shutting out the clash of a zillion genres playing simultaneously. Seating us in a low volume but vibey couch corner. We ordered 3 alcohol drinks and 1 mocktail for my teen daughter. We ordered mini alcappurias, tuna tartar, Mac with spicy chicken and eventually kukaraage fried chicken. The drinks were so good we ordered doubles. The food was so good it started as 2 to taste and rolled into 4 as well. The ambiance was dark and moody but also comfy. The waitress was really sweet as well. Drinks and apps were absolutely phenomenal. I will definitely be back next trip! read more

Very cool and popular bar--I can't wait to come back! It was packed the night we went, and even bartenders from other well-known spots in San Juan were hanging out there, which says a lot. The cocktails were fun, delicious, and super creative. We also ordered the Japanese fried chicken, and I'd absolutely get it again. Great vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a fun spot worth checking out! read more
Drinks and service were phenomenal! The waiter was kind and had very good recommendations! I had the Rum Runner which was sweet and flavorful! The ETERNA PRIMAVERA was out of this world!! Had many different spices, the type to make you feel warm on the inside! read more

I stopped for a cocktail. Sat alone on the patio. Most people were inside enjoying the cooler air, but everyone seemed to e joy tge drinks and tapas. Staff checked in with me regularly. After 2 well mixed drinks, I staggered over to La Placita to watch the crowd, before going on to dinner. This is a good place to start a fun evening. read more
Ok I love tiki bars, but unfortunately junglebird was super disappointing. Visited last week cuz it was walking distance from our airbnb. I love almost any cocktail, but i couldn't even finish the drink I ordered it was SO sour. I tried another drink my friend had ordered and that wasnt drinkable either. Turns out at our table of 7 no one liked their drinks. Vibe was cute, and if u like meat my friends really liked their food. read more

It was a good cocktail experience and appetizer! We were about to go to Santaella next door, and needed a drink before our reservation. Both of our cocktails were very well done, and the tuna app was delicious! The outside seating was covered in mosquitoes, but after we moved inside it was much better. read more
The menu here changed a bit ago so for example the tiki drinks aren't available any more. Pretty decent bar food and tropical atmosphere/decor. pina colada and painkiller drinks were pretty good! service is attentive and fast, bathrooms here are up to par. read more
This place is wonderful!! I would've stayed here all night and come back everyday if I could. The place was pretty quiet since it was the beginning of the night. There's a cute patio too. The drinks are fun, creative, tasty, and you know you've actually got some booze in there! Sometimes with fruity drinks the booze gets totally lost to the sugar, not so here. The food was also great. We got the pork belly sliders with were chefs kiss delicious. As a huge fan of neon and jungle aesthetics the decor here was just everything I wanted and more. The logo is particularly cute!! read more

So I didn't know what to expect walking in but my expectations were completely destroyed once I was seated and had my first drink. I had to have a jungle bird, even though I make them all the time, but after talks with the manager I had to try their version. So glad I did, they used some local rum Agricole in a split base and it gave it a great twist on the regular recipe (FYI I make all of mine like this now... Shhh don't tell them I stole the idea)This is when I knew I was in for a ride I held on to my slightly too tight floral shirt and went in. My next drinks were the Fog Cutter and the Saturn and I finished with something off of the written board which I didn't see until I was almost done drinking. This is a great destination bar and I've quickly become a stan. If you are in the area do not pass this place up, great vibe here with some great drinks. The food smelled amazing too but we just went here for drinks. I'll be back Jungle Bird, until next time. read more
Surprisingly super chill cocktail bar that's right in the middle of the college-town-like tomfoolery of La Placita. The vibe was chill tropical tiki room with their neon colours and 50% lighting. Service was quick and attentive, and they would make anything you wanted (including mocktails), or even suggest things based on what you liked. We ended up staying for two rounds, we liked it so much. To be honest, I can't recall any of the individual drinks, but they all hit the spot and were quite good. I heard the food was good too, but unfortunately we got here the day that they returned from vacation, so we were unable to try it out. read more
Jungle Bird is a great tiki bar. It had been on my list for a while so I was excited to make it here. The staff is very friendly and service was excellent. It's cute inside. I couldn't drink much, but I gladly ordered the eponymous Jungle Bird. It was not only gorgeous but delicious. I so wish I could have tried other drinks and food, but next time. I highly recommend when in San Juan. read more
While visiting San Juan, I was in search of a good cocktail bar and Jungle Bird did not disappoint. It's a great vibe inside the bar/restaurant with fun music and decor. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was amazing! He was friendly and a true professional in his craft. I ordered the Saturno, which is a gin based drink and it was so good I ordered two of them. The prices were fair for the quality of the drinks. Super fresh ingredients and creativity behind this bar. The area it's in is also really great and lively with nightlife. Make sure to visit for awesome and out of the box cocktails! read more

I got the Rum Runner and it was such a great blend of flavors. My friend ordered the Pina Colada-- I don't usually like this drink but I enjoyed it enough to order it next. We also ordered the pork belly sliders and we all enjoyed them. They paired perfectly with the drinks! Love the chill vibes too. Loved this little chill tiki/tapas bar! A calming atmosphere just footsteps away from the raucous placita. Everything we ate and drank was bursting with so many flavors! What really stood out was the mighty mozz - a creative take on caprese salad with mozz, tomatoes, balsamic marinated grapes, butternut squash, candied pecans, chorizo, cilantro and scallion. I'm going to try to replicate this one at home! So refreshing and every bite was different. The chorizo and farmers cheese spring rolls were a different take than I have ever seen in a spring roll, also delicious. The fried crack eggplant was spicier than I imagined but in a good way. The cocktails had interesting new flavors that brought my tastebuds to life. I had the tepachecolada and saturn. The tiny ice cubes were adorable and the garnishes were cool. The atmosphere was very chill with dark multicolored lighting and modern relaxed music. They use vintage furniture with funky patterns in a lounge setting as well as small tables for 2. There is both indoor (AC) and outdoor seating (fans). We got there on the early side (around 630pm) but it had filled up by the time we left as it is pretty small. Worth visiting again! read more
Delicious cocktails but the service can improve. Outr waiter completely ignored us for most of the time we were there. He seemed too busy with the larger tables. I can here around 8pm and there was no place to sit and as the night got busier there was only standing room. I do recommend coming here for their cocktails but don't expect spectacular service. read more

A place for sit down, exotic, tiki style, cocktails in the heart of Santurce. Came here with a group of 8 of us. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Despite it being a small spot we were quickly seated. It's a walk in and sit down as you like type of casual place. Our waiter was horrible and had he biggest attitude ever (I would too if it was past midnight on a Saturday night and I was working instead of being with my friends). He forgot my drink order and a friends food order, took no blame for it and didn't care to fix it. It's all right, I'm here to talk about what they're known for: their drinks & overpriced bite size food. Food: bite size and well plated and absolutely delicious. Be ware, the pictures make them seem larger than they are but the reality is you will never be full and you will spend a fortune. Drinks: amazing, tropical and fun. They have all types of cool fun names and are delicious. They live the hype and have an awesome presentation and you don't have to break the bank while you're at it. Definitely add Jungle Bird to your list of bars to stop at while in Santurce. Definitely a more quiet environment if you just want to hang out and chill. Make sure to grab a seat under their glow in the dark sign, great photo op for your ig stories. read more
We had a few drinks at Jungle Bird before our late dinner reservation at Santaella right across the street. I'd say this is a great cocktails lounge near La Placita! This place has a mature and elevated vibe compared to surrounding bars that's right by the Mercado -- not too crazy. If you just want to chill and have a good time this spot is perfect! The drinks are really on point! For the tiki cocktails, they will lite up your candied fruits with fire. It adds to the vibe. The indoor are is air conditioned while the outside one is breezy. Outdoor patio has the potential to be a beer-garden kind with extra string lights. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back when we are back for the 4th time in Puerto Rico :) read more
Meh. This place comes highly recommended, and although the vibe and decor was pretty cool, I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed with the flavor of the drinks, but they weren't weak to say it mildly, so some folks may like that. It is pretty close to La Placita, which can get a bit crazy, so you may have a better chance of finding a place to sit and chill here on a weekend. Definitely more laid back, but also a bit pricey. read more

A friend recommended this place. We arrived on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. We wanted one quick drink before moving onto dinner. They said a 45 min wait because it was raining. But they called out our name in less than 10 min. We had the piña colada which was not frozen but on the rocks. It was very good. It had an umbrella and a luxardo cherry. The drink had a lot of ice (mini ice cubes). We drank it quickly. The place has a good vibe. The bartender had a straw hat on and it fit the ambiance. He looked like he belonged there. I could have had many more drinks. Will return. read more
This tiki bar is a must find when bar hopping in La Placita! We stumbled in on a Saturday night on the earlier side and it was easy to cozy up to the bar and order a drink. The menu is pretty big and we knew we wanted to try one of their cocktails. The menu is divided into tiki and tropical, with a diverse span on flavor profiles. They let me know they couldn't make my first choice, but it was easy to find another to supplement. Drinks range from $9-$12 but coming from Miami, that's not a problem. The drinks are expertly crafted and certainly pack a punch. It's a small spot but has such a cool and funky atmosphere that takes you out of the streets of PR. We opted to sit on their secluded outside patio which felt very tropical and relaxing. It's a bit off the beaten path. That being said, it's worth the hunt! Definitely one of my favorite bar experiences while on vacay in San Juan. read more

Jungle bird is a very vibey hole in the wall spot outside of La Placita. The cocktail bar can be hard to find unless you are looking for it. The place has a small inside seating area and outside seating area that you have to access by walking inside. We did have a wait of about an hour, and while we waited we walked about 2 minutes to have a drink until we were called. This place has really good drinks. I do not remember the type of drink I had, but I do know that it came in a cute egg. They also serve food; however, the menu is very minimal. I had the kimchi fried rice with an egg and it was AMAZING. My friends had the chix and waffles and shared it was delicious as well. They said the waffle tasted like a funnel cake. This place was a good place to start my night in La Placita with good drinks. read more

Went to Jungle Bird tonight while on vacation in PR. The drinks were amazing, the music was awesome, and overall vibe was great. We sat at the bar with the bartender Edie and she was awesome!! She made our night! Would recommend coming here 10/10 and ask for her! read more

A fantastic, though a bit pricey, cocktail spot, with world-class bartenders. Ordered a snack of pork belly sliders which were top-notch. This place is a bit on the smaller side, but we had a great time. There are also a bunch of bars nearby if you're in the area for a night out. It's not hard to find, but I did initially miss it, you need to look for the yellow neon sign that marks the hallway-like path to walk to the main entrance. Out of the 4 different cocktails we tried, they were all excellent, and I would order them all again. Really need to go back to keep trying the menu. It's also really cool watching the bartenders make the drinks, there's a fluidity to it that's sort of like watching a dance. The pork belly sliders were perfect with our drinks. The bread was delicious, providing the right about of crust and softness to the tender pork belly, which honestly melted when you bit into it. read more
Chill spot with relaxing tiki vibes and great drinks. We came here around 8 pm on a Friday and had a nice time. It's the place to go if you want good drinks, actually hear the person you're talking too, and sit outdoors. It's a great bar to commence a night out. read more
My husband and I had the best time at the Jungle Bird! We stopped in for drinks and a bite to eat after traveling all day. We've been super into mezcal lately and we were delighted to see several drinks on the menu that contain it. We had the Spicy Dead Lady, Devil's Paradise, Tropical Derby, and Frida's Visit to MOMA . My favorite was Frida's with mezcal- I thought the salty cilantro air was so tasty and unique! The drinks were fantastic, but the highlight of the night was the amazing service. They didn't have any tables open when we walked in but the server told us to sit on the bench that stretched along the wall and magically he appeared carrying a table for us! To eat, we had pork belly sliders and tuna tartare. Both were wonderful and complimented the drinks nicely. It was pretty loud in the restaurant, but it was busy and a Saturday night. There was outdoor seating available too, so maybe it would be less noisy outside. We sat indoors since we were eating. They didn't sell any tiki mugs, but maybe they will have some in the future, we would love to come back one day! read more
