    Pulled chicken quesadillas

Food is delicious. Service is top tier! Located inside the Hilton caribe hotel. The pulled chicken quesadillas 10/10, I highly recommend! The bartenders are passionate about their craft and it shows! They give excellent recommendations as well. Great time at this restaurant/bar

I've been here a few times now and I'm enjoying the food, drinks, service and vibe of this place is great. Tonight I had the chicken chicharron and fried plantains that were good.

This bar is 1 of 2 places that calls themselves the "birthplace of the pina colada" in PR. I tried both and the other one was better. The views and ambiance was better here, but the pina colada wasn't as good. Definitely try them both to decide for yourself!

Poolside outdoor restaurant seated under umbrellas. Cute spot, though food could take a while as it is made in the nearby restaurant and then transported by the wait staff to the tables. Food is good and who doesn't mind sitting outdoors while waiting? A cat wanders around the tables, lazily looking for handouts. I had the fish tacos, which were fantastic! Huge chunks of fish served in a tortilla and topped with a delicious cole slaw. Wait time can be long.

Good and fast service. We originally came to taste the "original pina colada." It was the worst, most basic pina colada I have ever had. If that's the reason you are coming here, save your money

Caribar is a pretty nice hotel bar. During our stay at the Hilton, we were in Caribar many times. It is the main hotel at the end of the lobby, with an outdoor area that overlooks the beach and pool. They have a "Pina colada menu", a regular bar menu, as well as beer and wine. They also have a variety of bar food. They claim to be the home of the Pina Colada, because the bartender who invented it worked there. On calmer nights, you can get served at your table. The only food we ordered was nachos with shredded chicken, which were pretty good. Most of the other nights, we just had drinks. Some of my favorites were the Pina Colada Old Fashioned and the Pina Colada Martini. Our group of friends had a large variety of other rum cocktails. At some point, things got a bit too sweet for me, so I switched to dry wine and bubbly. On weekends they have live music, and we got to dance to a live salsa and merengue band. The atmosphere at the bar was either chill or fun depending on the night. If you are staying at the Hilton or a nearby hotel, I recommend an evening at Caribar.

Cool ambiance unless the music is WAY too loud. Awesome bar staff a great service. Great cocktail selection. Did you know that the Pina Colada originated at Caribe Hilton?

The delicious pina colada and a mezcal cocktail I believe that was also outstanding.

Having the creator of the piña colada as your lobby bar is something special. The bar is nice, spacious both inside and outside. Some large tvs to watch a game on as well. Loved the ability to take my drink out by the water on a warm breezy night. The piña colada is the best I've had. Makes sense. I think I had about 5/6 of those over our 4 days/ 3 nights at Caribe Hilton. Tried 2 or 3 other cocktails and they were also really well done. Prices are a little high, but you can taste the quality and you are enjoying everything with the ocean as your backdrop. I would recommend making this a stop for your PR visit, even if you're not staying at Caribe Hilton.

Just landed after a full day of flying and grabbing a drink and snacks at Caribar.

This is a bar inside the Hilton on Puerto Rico. It has beautiful views and I'd give it more stars but the service was a little slow and priced quite high. Drinks averaged $12 and meals even higher of course. The menu was limited. I ordered the hummus and plantation chips which was spectacular. There was a drizzle of garlic/lime olive oil and crunchy chickpeas on the top. It was enough to fill me up without ordering a large meal. I went back a few times and there was a band playing there one evening. It was a bit loud but if you moved outside to the tables overlooking the ocean it was the right volume. As a Hilton Diamond member the hotel gave me two coupons for local bottled beer which was great. Caribe beer (and who doesn't like free). Beautiful views and in the hotel so easy access. Just a little pricey and slow service.

    LOTS of Old Forester options!!!

Finally, after years of staying at the Caribe Hilton, I made it to the hotel in time to try a piña colada at the (self proclaimed) place that invented of the drink. This bar is located in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel. The "inside" area is enjoyable enough (although it's semi- open air), with lots of comfy seating. The real star is the outdoor area, which is extremely pleasant in the evening when a (sort of) cool ocean breeze blows in and the lighting makes for a fun ambiance. I only tried one drink - the famous piña colada, but I was a bit underwhelmed. It was just ok, and perhaps not worth $12. I do have to give extra marks for their extensive collection of "Old Forester" bourbon (the best bourbon on the planet), and I'll be getting an "old fashioned" the next time I visit (that's what most people seemed to be drinking anyway). The staff is friendly and efficient enough, although they absolutely will not make any exceptions about their closing time...if you get there at 12:01am, they won't make you a drink. Otherwise, worth a drink if you are staying at the Caribe.

The beach view. Trying the pina colada.

Best pina coladas I've ever had. Why? Because they were invented right there. Well the story is the bartender worked here and another bar in old San Juan, so it was created at both. First night in and we decided to share a pina colada. Typically, I would not drink a sweet drink like this but believe me, it was perfectly sweetened and very refreshing. I've tried it elsewhere on the island as well and it was not made to perfection as it was here. We didn't try anything else but they offered complimentary corn nuts as well. Huge outdoor patio with a great view for day or night. Very comfy.

Happy hour menu in our hotel room

Went here for happy hour. Ordered the corn and cheese fritters and chicharron volao. The fritters were my favorite but the order was a bit small to me - 5 pieces. This may be enough for 1 person but it was being shared between myself and hubby. The chicharrons came with chicken thighs and drumsticks and the actual chicharrons were maybe 5 or 6 pieces. The chicken were decent sized pieces and were delicious. The happy hour prices were fair but the menu was very small. If it had more variety, this would've been 5 stars.

We stayed at the Hilton Caribe and thought this hotel lounge / bar -- which looks super elegant and comfy -- would be overpriced and not particular good. But were delighted to be wrong! The pina coladas are, of course, fantastic. (We had eight during the week.) BUT so is the ceviche, which is as good or better than the three seafood restaurants we tried during the trip! The chicken wings were a surprise hit too. Most importantly, the servers and bartenders were attentive and unfailingly kind. Highly recommended, whether you are staying at the Hilton or not!

Room for a total of 100 people. Feels: Welcome to Old San Juan, a mix of touristy and culture. The spot itself is popular for locals and tourists. As for the space itself, what's unique about this spot is this place isn't just one bar. It's actually a series of connected rooms (about 6-7 different spaces), each with its own vibe - speak easy, dance, casual, house, live music and more! I'm surprised each room can contain it's sounds while maintaining its own energy. It feels like a speakeasy maze meets nightlife experience. Dim lighting, vintage touches, and just enough chaos in a good way. DRINKS/EXPERIENCE It was such a fun night, not sure what I ordered but there is an abundance of flavors as every room has different selections. But popular drinks if you're looking for guidance - lavendar mule, espresso martini, a classic mojito. They got the classic to your well-crafted cocktails. Some spots provide food while others is sip and chill or sip and dance. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Fast-paced but solid. Staff keeps up with the crowd and still manages to be engaging. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars! Good choices, reasonable prices, and a vibe like no other. As a gemini that can be quite indecisive, I enjoyed this spot - especially with its multiple options. This is more than a bar - it's an experience. A spot where the night can go longer than expected. TIPS: * Walk through ALL the rooms--you'll miss half the experience if you don't
