Pretty good bbq restaurant but be mindful the parking is awful here. There's only a few spots open and they are pretty tight so you may have to do a couple of loops around the parking lot to find a spot. They seem to be pretty busy on any given night so that's a plus. There's a full service bar with yummy cocktails available, a case with dessert pies inside and all the bbq you can imagine to eat. There's plenty of options and appetizers. We tried the jalapeño brisket egg rolls. They have just a hint of spiciness to them but very tolerable. The ultimate sandwich is a pulled pork with your choice of sides. I'd definitely recommend the Brussels sprouts. They were my favorite of the entire meal. Also got the Shepard's pie. It was ok. A bunch of pork at the bottom of a bowl topped with mash potatoes and veggies with some cheese and crab meat on top. The fusion doesn't really go well together but wasn't bad. The meat were a little dry and you have to use bbq sauce to make it better. The good note is they have 4 sauces for you at the table so it's a plus for everyone. Service is great! We arrived at 1630 to a busy restaurant. That's a good sign. No problem we were seated immediately and was greeted by a great waiter. The restaurant is very cozy, not too tight, not too open. We started with the crap dip, which was phenomenal!!! My wife and mother both ordered the fish and chips, me? I had the Texas brisket. Everything was amazing. The brisket was so moist, I cut it with a fork. The nice waiter recommended the 'Knocked UP' sauce for the brisket and It made it taste even better. I washed it all down with a draft Narragansett to celebrate the opening of Jaws on this day in 1975. Lastly was the Apple Crisp Ala mode. EXCELLENT!! Worth a second try but hectic place. It seems like this than absolute favorite in the community and it's a place that I absolutely want to give a second chance to. Overall it was good and we had no issues at all and despite it being extraordinarily busy we were able to get our food in a decent about of time without having to wait a whole lot. We ended up all having sandwiches I had the pulled pork and my husband had a burger also some mac and cheese. I think this is much more of a place if you wanna kind of have a great time you're with a few friends want that louder atmosphere without it being too crazy but for a family or anyone with kids really I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. When we have a date night out I do intend to give it a shot for a drink. read more

What a great surprise find! In the area for baseball game and did a quick search for casual eats. No one wanted pizza or tacos (all we eat on baseball nights) and the menu sounded good. Adorable restaurant and bar hidden away down a backstreet that is so inviting. Service was fantastic, bar was slammed but you could still have a conversation and hear yourself think. Quieter dining rooms that are casual but have a nice feel. The menu is amazing and hard to choose just one. The fries, hush puppies and Brussels could make a meal all their own and were top notch. Dry rub burger was fantastic, as was the waffle pig. Do not even think of getting the chicken sandwich (not nearly the caliber of everything else), just go big and get the smoked fried chicken. They are not joking when they say Hideaway! You think you're lost it's so tucked back and hidden, but once inside it's a lot bigger than you would expect! One side is desserts and to go orders and the other side is tables and a large bar with TV's. I can confidently say I have been converted to a true BBQ lover after trying this place! This is one of our favorite go-to spots! Everyone is always friendly whenever you come in, and it's always busy (which definitely means they're doing something right!) my husband and I always opt to get their wings as our appetizer (super good by themselves, you don't need any sauces!) we also love getting their pulled pork pierogis (BOMB) and their crabby fries! I'm usually someone who's always indecisive, so I always go for their Hideaway Sampler because it has a TOOON of meats and it's always super satisfying! Just tried this place out for the first time and LOVED it! The service was excellent, we were waited on by Matthew who was very attentive and made good suggestions. I can say that the drinks are pretty good, they didn't knock my socks off nor did I think the drink price was reasonable - but I enjoyed my blueberry lemonade crush. I had the crab fries for dinner, because the options were very limited. They hit the spot. I thought it would be a larger portion because of the price but it ended up being heavy on the crab dip and lighter on the fries. There was not one naked fry, which made me happy. I did run into some cartilage, which is always an unwelcome surprise but luckily it was toward the end of the meal. As far as dessert, the key lime pie was okay, not amazing and very skimpy in size. I have been coming here for nearly ten years, and find that the food is excellent; the only downside is that they do not have enough waiting staff to accommodate the extremely busy times, and recently they have started charging extra if you want additional Thousand Island Sauce for the Brisket Rueben and an additional charge for extra aioli sauce for the Chicken Breast Sandwich. The pork and wings had great flavor. - Smoked Fried Chicken (breast, thigh, wing, drumstick with red potato salad, brussels sprouts w/bacon, pecans, goat cheese) - My sister loved this. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. It was a huge portion of chicken and she had plenty to take home for lunch the next day. The brussels sprouts and goat cheese were a great flavor combination. The red potato salad is her favorite. - Hideaway Burger (8 oz, ground brisket chuck, ground short rib with bacon, pepper jack, cajun remoulade, pickle, with mac & cheese) - My mom's burger was juicy and had a ton of flavor. The cajun remoulade gave it a nice kick. The mac and cheese was great. - Chesapeake Shepherd's Pie (pulled pork, crab, cream and sherry, mashed potatoes, corn, peas, topped with cheese) - I really enjoyed this. It was a lot of food so I took half of it home. There was a ton of pulled pork inside. The combination of mashed potatoes, corn, peas, and cheese hit the spot. The crab meat on top got a little dried out though. - Jumbo Crabcake - (8 oz, broiled with coleslaw, red potato salad) - My dad thought his crab cake was just okay. He thought it was smaller than 8oz. He wouldn't order the crab cake again. He loved the coleslaw and potato salad. - Side of Hideaway fries (truffle oil and parmesan) collard greens - The fries were delicious, hot, and crispy. The collards are my brother-in-laws favorite. - Side of brussels sprouts with bacon, pecans, goat cheese - I devoured my brussels sprouts and goat cheese. Since it was karaoke, it was a little loud, but you did have the option of sitting in a different part of the establishment. For food, I tried the fried chicken with the dry hot seasoning; it was great. I also had the wings with blackberry chipotle; the flavor is not as weird as one might think. Overall, the wings were good. The mac and cheese and baked beans tasted good as well; they reminded me of a southern-style restaurant. I had the jalapeño brisket rolls, and they were okay. I also had the pulled pork sandwich; it was okay, but you definitely need some sauce because the meat is very dry. Lastly, I had the crabby fries, which were okay; they tasted like they just put crab dip on top of the fries, and the dip was not that great. The server was very helpful, and we did not have any issues with her.
