Grapefruit Sparkler Mocktail
Marissa B.

Found the herb box in Scottsdale in an online search! What an amazing find. The food, service and ambiance were 10/10. I sat outside as it was a lovely day in the 70s F. I ordered the grapefruit sparkler mocktail which had muddled cucumber & mint, fresh grapefruit, lime juice and sparkling water. I asked for it WITHOUT simple syrup. It was super refreshing. For my meal, I ordered the artisan farmhouse cheese + charcuterie board. IT WAS HUGE!!!! Such a large portion for $29. It consisted of fig jam which was PHENOMENAL, cornichon, capers, olives, strawberries and blueberries, spicy mustard, 3 types of salami - one regular and one spicy along with bread and crackers. The attention to detail was appreciated. I loved how the salami was artistically wrapped into a rose. Extremely worth it, but it's better to share with at least 4 others. Don't be like me and order it for one person! I got the market sunflower salad as well which had grilled chicken, goat cheese, bacon, strawberries, blueberries, & sunflower seeds along with a balsamic vinaigrette. It was extremely fresh and tasty. I loved it! Overall, wonderful service and great vibe! Would definitely come back.

Wonderful outside seating with heat lamps! The staff is so friendly and makes great recommendations with such kindness. Hannah and Chance were so sweet! Get the short rib tacos, the sliders (both fried chicken and pork), blistered shishito peppers, butternut squash & corn enchiladas (comes with 3, perfect as a small plates dish to share) and the salad on the side was SO good too! Try their cocktails! We got the Herb Box Prickly Pear (like a margarita), the Negroni, the gin old fashioned, and the bees knees. Definitely a hot spot! Great for vegetarians/vegans and gluten free folks. Check it out when you're in Scottsdale!

Went in for lunch. Parking is rough and not enough handicap parking. The restaurant is big and beautiful. Great outside seating. Food was delicious and I felt my wrap was healthy. I had the chicken wrap with arugula and blue cheese. It was delicious. My friend had the blt chicken sandwich and she liked it. The sweet potato chips were delicious also. The service was 5 stars also

This is a cute smaller restaurant in Old Town - we were able to find parking right across the street on a Friday night at 7pm. The restaurant was pretty empty, one larger party and a couple smaller parties. We asked if we could sit at a booth and the hostess was very kind in letting us sit in one! I like the big, open bar in the restaurant, lends fancier and elegant vibes. My boyfriend got the fried chicken and with kale and apple slaw and Gouda Mac and cheese. This was quite a large portion which he loves, he even left a few bites of mac and cheese! He liked it a lot and him eating kale is a win. He also got a church music and it was tasty as always. I got the vegan nosh board and had enough leftovers for a second meal. All four noshes are so tasty but the kale pakora has to be my favorite. It's so unique and has great crunch and the candied jalepeños are sweet and a little spicy. The Brussels are also so crispy! I didn't notice there was an aioli on the bottom of these two noshes so take notice because it adds another tasty element. The cauliflower is surprisingly gluten free and that makes me so happy. There were few large pieces and it had so much depth of Korean hot pepper sauce but not too spicy by any means . The snap peas offered great crunch and the quinoa had a grilled flavor to them? So good. The last nosh was a rainbow quinoa with fennel and orange and blackberries and roasted red onions... yummm. Tasty while warm and so many vegetables, so filling!!

I'm from out of town and was with a small group and we decided to stop here for a small bite, late lunch as we were walking through the old town Scottsdale shops. The service here was very good and quick and the food that I ordered was also very good. I ordered the short rib tacos and it was a great portion and very tasty. I would stop back here again certainly.

The Herb Box in Scottsdale is stylish and inviting with kind staff. I just felt like the menu had quinoa and kale on nearly every plate. Regardless, the food tasted fantastic and the cocktails are solid. It's a great spot if you're craving something clean and unique! - AD

Chilled Cilantro-Lime Crab Dip with plantain chips

Absolutely healthy and fresh, I loved this place and will be back. The chilled crab dip was incredible and the Serrano shrimp salad was amazing with the sweet hot Serrano glaze. The bowl was delicious and had lots of flavor and the drinks were simple and delicious. The service was efficient and excellent also the patio was a great spot.

Our girls trip ended with lunch at The Herb Box after a couple of hours window shopping at the stores around. We built up quite the appetite and wanted an "easy on the stomach" last meal before our flight back home. With a quick yelp search, I found that the reviews for this place were pretty decent enough to be our final stop for a bite. We were a group of five but two of the others were stuck at the salon, so we entered as a group of three but asked for a table that fit the entire five of us in case the other two finished up soon. We were sat outside under the large umbrellas and felt a nice cool breeze and had a good view to people watch. After browsing the menu, we started with the crab dip with plantain chips. The cilantro lime dressing disguised the natural taste of the crab but still was tasty. There were generous lumps of crab throughout. I thought it was a creative appetizer and was super fresh. I went with the turkey, pear, and arugula sandwich on a toasted baguette. This came with fresh house made sweet potato chips. Everything was delicious. The sandwich was packed with turkey but still tasted light. The crunch and chewiness of the baguette offered a delightful texture. I enjoyed the house made chips that were lightly salted. The other girls at the table got the serrano shrimp salad, which was piled high with arugula and had sprinkles of crispy bacon. This was all over some toast and dressed with large, lightly fried shrimp. My friend got the buttermilk chicken sliders which were cute x 3. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food. The only real complaint we had was that it took over 30 minutes for our three sandwiches/salads to come out. The outside patio was almost full but the inside seating was pretty bare, so they weren't too busy. The other two girls ended up coming at the very end of our meal, so my thought was that the waitress waited to put in our lunch orders even though we told her the girls can just order after us. Wasn't too big of a deal, but the delay was noticeable. In the end, I had half a sandwich and some chips to take back on my 6hour flight to New England. I toasted that baby up in the air fryer the next day and enjoyed every last bite, reminiscing on the Scottsdale adventure.

We actually ended up here by default, as the place we were supposed to have lunch at was closed. But it ended up being a happy accident. I like the decor of this place, with a tiled wall, beamed ceilings and the biggest table lamp I've ever seen. There is a bar, some high-tops, banquettes, and some tables. We were sitting by the door, so there was a burst of cold air anytime someone walked in or out. I ended up eating with my sweater on. There is a patio out back. There were several people eating out there, so I presume the heaters were on and worked well. We shared the short rib tacos and the Herb Box BLT with chicken. Both were good. Not Earth shattering, but certainly good. The sandwich was served with sweet potato chips which seemed to be seasoned with something that I can't put my finger on in--maybe brown sugar? I didn't love them, but then again, I don't like sweet potatoes. This was a nice place with nice food. Definitely a good choice if your looking for lunch.

Angie T.

This place is charming from the moment you walk in. The decor is beautifully curated blending an industrial- modern aesthetic with a cozy farm kitchen feel. One of the first things you'll notice is the front facing bar which offers an enticing selection of specialty cocktails. Seating options are plentiful with high and low tables as well as comfortable booths. The Herb box BLT was absolutely delicious featuring a lightly breaded chicken cutlet homemade pesto, on a delicious roll. Our server was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and incredibly patient as I caught up with an old friend over a long leisurely lunch. We never felt rushed, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. If you're looking for a stylish comfortable spot for a great meal and conversation this place is a must visit. I'll definitely be back.

Just as relaxing and tasty for dinner as it is for breakfast. All the servers are friendly and chill.

We had an absolutely awesome time. This place is a great find. We passed little shops and a street performer to get here. The food was so delicious. I had the steak and eggs and it was perfectly executed. Eggs over medium done just right, fingerling potatoes with aoli and the steak was to die for, the herb box BLT with chicken was great. The location, ambience and the service were top notch.

Flavors…read morewere all on point and as expected from the components on the menu, which doesn't happen often in Phoenix. The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

My partner opted for the burrata paired with their noble bread, crispy salmon, & midnight brownie. Our favorites were their burrata & crispy salmon, with our not so favorites being the rest. The chopped salad was mediocre at best, nothing worth coming back for. The short ribs were overcooked, making it extremely dry. The blueberry pudding cake was incredibly dense and dry. The brownie was as hard as a rock, making it difficult to pick up a piece without breaking the plate while at it. Overall, my partner and I were quite disappointed with our meals.
