Been here a handful of times- Lately service has been great, but there are some Servers that go above and beyond for us, others need to smile and be more friendly- I have heard from other patriots about the same people so i'm not the only one with complaints about those people, they seem to be newer since I have not seen them before- so I would like to give props to the ladies who take great care of me when I am there- Destiny & Ashley you ladies rock keep up the good work. First off, the food is great. I've been eating the pizza from this kitchen since my father worked here when I was a kid. The pool tables are fast. There are a lot of TVs. Always good games on. Pull tabs. Centrally located on Pacific Ave along the #1 bus route. TouchTunes jukebox. Finally, to all the cranky reviewers out there...You show respect. You get respect. The staff does their best. The Haven is one of those places where everyone is a regular and everyone knows everyone else. It's a good place to grab a drink, chill with friends, and shoot some pool. The food is ok, nothing special, just the typical bar food - sandwiches, burgers, pizza, etc. It does look a little sketchy from the outside and I would have never gone in if it hadn't been for my boyfriend. Looks can definitely be deceiving! My bf and his friends usually go on Wednesday nights for meat night. What's a meat night, you ask? It's a meat raffle and $10 gets you 15 tickets in the pot. Drawings start at 6 or 6:30 and continue through the evening until all the prizes are gone. When I went last, I walked away with some pork chops, havarti cheese, capicola, and beef snacks. The food is excellent however there is hardly COVID 19 requirements for seating customers closer than six feet apart. Your can have a customer 2 feet behind you sitting at the pull tab station. If you sit at the pull tab station why can't you sit at the bar? read more

Consider yourself WARNED! I just picked up a pizza that I paid $18 bucks for and got home to a soggy mess. It was so undercooked that you couldn't even hold a piece in your hand. I called to let them know and they told me to put it in my oven. Really?! Or I could bring it back and they would put it back in their oven. No apology or offer to make a new pizza. Had a Groupon and decided to go see what The Haven had to offer. Looks much nicer on the inside than the outside. Ordered our meals and there was a slight mix up with one order, but they didnt question us and remade it as quickly as possible. Very attentive staff everyone asked us if we were doing well and if we needed anything frequently. All in all a great experience. Will go back to try some on their daily food deals! read more

Food isn't good here really. Service has gotten a lot better. They have nice people, Golden Tee, pull tabs and are great about putting a game on for you. The house made chips are really good with some thousand or blue cheese. Pizza isn't usually cooked long enough which causes the crust to not be crispy or able to hold the toppings. Burgers are not good at all because meat is either old or just been frozen far too long. I haven't ordered any other food since the last review just because I know what to expect. I often think people review and say the burgers are good, but they probably haven't had a truly good burger before. Stick to wings, chips and maybe fries here. Glad the service is better. read more

Came in after playing some ball at sprinker park. Service was prompt, beer was cold and good. Had a burger that was good Pool tables and tabs like every bar Staff was cool and bantered with us, while taking care of the other customers. Been here a hand full of time, the inside always seems clean and the staff is friendly. I drink dirty martini's and the bartender (Pebbles) took the time to learn the way I like them made. Tonight 50% of the people in and out of the pub had no masks when entering or moving throughout the establishment. We did not feel safe - WA state governor asked for our state to be safe. To many workers for such a small bar it's ridiculous how many workers. That type of bar needs 3 max. So mixed up. Crap pour drinks. Great prices for the food however we ordered the sampler platter small and served in a basket. We had a steak dinner my steak was god awful purple mooing. I took it home to my dog. So... I'm a college kid at PLU. That really should pretty much say it all if you know the area. The Haven could kind of be considered... PLU's very unofficial college bar. It's not a bad bar by any means. Prices are affordable (especially on Thursdays when they have dollar domestic drafts from 3-7), the food is definitely yummy (quesadillas, sandwiches, calzones, nachos, steaks, kabobs--all favorites among my friends), and the staff is generally pretty cool. They're as efficient as one could hope. If you want it really quick, go to the bar and you'll have your drink in a matter of seconds. Willing to wait? The cocktail waitress will get to you lickety split. Sometimes they can be pretty darn busy, and it can be hard to find a place to sit... especially if you come with a big group. But it's never been such a plan that (anyone I know at least) has been inclined to believe. There is a nice outdoor area, which has been covered by a tent lately... this is definitely a happy thing since we live in Western Washington. They have karaoke one night a week (I'm not sure which night), the game is always on when it should be, and there are two coin operated pool tables. Overall, it's a bar. It's not a night club. It's not some high end lounge. And if your looking for a decent place to come sit down, have a few cold ones, watch the game maybe, heck even get something to eat (ooh they have pretty great happy hour specials M-F)... the Haven is not a bad place to do it. I'm gonna put this short and sweet...the service is hit and miss, the mixed drinks are over priced ($11 for a trash can?!?!), the servers are always friendly...the IT factor to this place is the night life crowd...always a great group of people in there that make for a very entertaining night out! II was looking for a place to eat before a concert at PLU. When I drove up to it I almost turned around because it was a tavern. There was a man smoking at the entrance which turned me off. But I thought I should just take a risk and walk in. Typical tavern setting. The server was extremely nice and helpful and she seemed to help me get rid my awkward feeling. The food was great. French dip was pretty good. Should of sent the chicken back. It was the size of a small pigeon. We were very disappointed. We've been here many times and service has always been great. Only major complaint is only one refill on soda. None of my friends drink alcohol. That is CHEAP! For this reason we don't go very often. Change your rules and we will be back more often. read more

I'm only giving this one star because I have to! The music was over the top loud. Bartenders couldn't even hear orders or hear when people were yelling "fight" (or they didn't care). I went there to meet a date last night. There were three fights during the hour and a half that I was there. The bar staff was WAY too young and inexperienced to deal with it and one of the female bartenders looked involved in it. The drinks were awful! My date ordered a screwdriver and it was ALL orange juice. I use to come here a decade ago and it was great (which is why I suggested to meet there), but it is an AWFUL place to spend your night now; not to mention absolutely unsafe! read more

If its Pizza your cravin', go to The Haven. IMO the thin crust is where its at. The thick's a little doughy. They got one with this weird, sweet Polynesian sauce-don't bother. Just stick w/the basics. The reader board says "best pizza in town" Bit of a lofty statement. The San Marco pizza at Marzano is the bomb. But if you want a solid pie, by all means, give it a try. read more
