I had a great time axe throwing, and I wanted to do it regularly. The web page said "Bring a friend free." See attached image. It didn't say how many sessions I could bring a friend free, so naturally I thought I could every time. I thought this was great, I could buy a membership for myself and my wife and we could bring our kids. We went for two 1-hour sessions the first month. Travis (he's fun) didn't give us any issues with the bring a friend free. We were charged for a second month. We went in again, and another gentleman said the next time we came in we would have to pay for additional people. I contacted the owner via email and I'm like "What?" There's no indication on the website that I can only bring a friend once a month. Then the owner told me I misinterpreted the very clear language on the website. I disputed and said no it doesn't say that. To be clear I would have been fine if the owner had simply apologized for the mistake, fixed the language on the website, and let us bring a friend for the two months we had already contractually paid for. Even if it was a mistake, this was technically false advertising. But the owner could not admit this. So I guess he did the only thing that a responsible business owner could do when being called out by a customer - he terminated both my and my wife's memberships! (My wife wasn't even on this email chain.) Even after this happened, when I was in Timberlords I was very respectful to the employees and didn't talk about the changed situation more than I needed to. My problem isn't with the business or the employees, but with these owners who can't take responsibility for an error, and don't know how to smooth out a situation. Just as an aside, I checked the rules for the membership in the store, which are on a wood slab on the counter. It does say on those rules, "8. 1/2 hour sessions," and below that, "1. Bring a friend free." The one is very small and is right where the wood and bark meet, so it's not very noticeable. But I signed up on the website that said differently!

The games were fun. Beer and I think wine were available. We had the lane for an hour which was perfect. If you want a fun and unique night out this is the ticket. We definitely will be back.

You can bring food from outside. They are limited on snacks and have a variety of good beers. The axe throwing bays are pretty big and there's plenty of space for your party of 4 or more. Cost was reasonable too. Will definitely come back in the future.

Get Axed in Roseville is a wild, well-run good time -- think beer-pong-energy targets, tic-tac-toe projection games, and enough illuminated targets to keep everyone entertained between throws. The staff are friendly, informative, and actually helpful with coaching throws and explaining the games, which made the whole experience way less intimidating. You can order cocktails (solid pours) and snacks -- another party got a stack of pizzas from Costco and the place handled it like pros. Bathrooms were huge and spotless, which is always a relief. The space is cozy and wooden, so yes, bring your sense of adventure. I left with sawdust in my hair and a grin. Photos attached show the games and the menu -- great spot for a rowdy date night or group hang. Go with friends, wear something you don't mind getting a little rustic, and have fun. 1) Axe lane and illuminated targets -- bring your A-game. 2) Tic-tac-toe projection -- more competitive than it looks. 3) "GET AXED" beer menu -- drink options for every palate.
