We've been regulars at Gauche Aquatic Park for years, and it's a solid local spot, though there are…read morea few important things to know before you go. The Positives: The lifeguards here take their jobs very seriously. They actively monitor the pools to ensure kids aren't playing too rough. For safety reasons, they don't allow parents to ride down the yellow slide with toddlers--there isn't a sign posted about this, but we were completely fine following the rule to set a good example for the kids. The Layout & Safety: One design quirk to watch out for if you have toddlers is that the 2-foot kiddie area connects directly to the 4-foot pool without a barrier. It can be a bit risky for non-swimmers who might accidentally wander into the deeper water, so expect to be right in the pool with your little ones the whole time. Crowds & Amenities: Weekends get incredibly packed, to the point where it's hard for kids to swim without bumping into others. Seating and shade are very limited, which is why a massive line forms before opening. You essentially have to sprint inside to claim a spot; otherwise, you're stuck standing in the sun. Also, note that the big slide isn't guaranteed to be running. It was closed during our recent weekend visit. Timing & Cost: They currently run two separate sessions (12:00 PM-2:30 PM and 3:30 PM-6:00 PM). At $12 per person ($48 for our family of four), it honestly feels a bit pricey for just two and a half hours of swim time. Overall, it's a fun park, but you definitely want to arrive early and stay vigilant with younger kids.

She knew all the horses personally and could read them like a book. She also took pictures of us along the way and air dropped them to us at the end of our trip which was a huge plus. The place was easy to find, plenty of parking, and the instructions for riding you receive ahead of time (as long as you follow them) are perfect. I do recommend a hat or sunscreen. The trail ride is beautiful, the lake even more so. This experience was an anniversary gift to my wife because she loves horses and grew up with them and this was the perfect gift. I rode on Hercules and my wife on Rango, the cute inseparable duo. Hercules had me laughing throughout the ride and definitely has a mind of his own and a stomach as much as I tried to keep him from snacking along the way. I highly recommend the trail ride, we had a blast and will definitely be doing it again in the future. Cheers!

My contract is up at my current gym so I decided to come back to In-shape to try it out, one of my main reasons for going back was the free weights & the pool. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the pool whatsoever because apparently all the local high school swim teams use it for practicing every evening. The gym was pretty clean and the overall experience wasn't too bad, just for the price of membership the bankers hours and lack of public pool usage is very frustrating.

It was spacious with several rooms that included group fitness, cardio, and strength training. Some rooms were larger than others but the spaces provided members an opportunity to feel comfortable no matter the physical vulnerabilities. The restrooms were cute and appeared updated. Most of the patrons cleaned the machines after use, which made me happy. And the relax and restoration area was a vibe. I enjoyed my visit.

In the early 1900s, Clarks Hole (also called Clarks Pool) was managed by the City of Auburn as a municipal swimming pool. Today, it is popular with Auburn locals for picnics and swim parties, especially on a hot days! No lifeguards. Please be careful!
