Prior to taking the Harvard tour, we spent some time browsing this locale. The place is pretty much like any store, and has a lot of clothes throughout. Kind of on the pricey side, but we did snag 2 tees for $35. They have multiple locations and it is run by students. I can't say if it is better than the Harvard Coop, as I did not get a chance to check it out. If you want Harvard gear, this would be a great place to find it. read more

Our tour ended here and we looked around for souvenirs there was a small clearance section so that was nice but for those on a true budget be aware of the price tags! But that's a given with it being Harvard souvenirs. Nothing too major in terms of seeking variety or range in Harvard stuff checking this out depending on distance wouldn't hurt to try and checkout some of the Coop stores as we found a larger selection there. read more

The Harvard Shop is a student-run store that offers various men's, women's, and children's apparel, hats, bags, accessories, and even gift items for the babies. The selection is not as extensive as the Coop, but everything is neatly organized and there are some great designs. Just note that not everything is official college gear, so just look for that sticker on the tags! The lone staff member here was super welcoming and friendly, but she was not that knowledgeable in terms of the items/descriptions. For a student store- they don't have supplies there's just tons of branded merchandise being sold. Pens, scarves, sweaters and the like. Certainly cheaper than Princeton, not many sales. No parking, take a train or park a few blocks away. It's in the cluster f of the city of Cambridge. If you aren't an alumni/alumnus/alum please do not wear anything but shirts and pajamas for indoors You will be asked over and over of you went to Harvard. Unless you are in the area working it with pride for the school you didn't attend. My family is all about West Point. And Princeton, but I did buy some pajama pants. No one will see. Alright so I got a Harvard sweatshirt even though i was only there for like three hours - judge me all you want, i'll still sport a Harvard sweatshirt shamelessly lawlll Its a teeny shop but i really liked the collection they had especially the unisex sweatshirts i ended up getting. The prices are a little steep but i guess its Harvard Sq and i went over to two other stores and the prices were comparably similar. Its also a student run store and the employees are students who are pretty laid back. They'll answer any question you have but also let you just be and meander around the store. The only con was that they didnt have a fitting room but since i was browsing sweatshirts, i didnt mind putting on the extra layer to see how it fits. I would also like to give a shout out to the manager/employees who were kind enough to send my sun glasses i had forgotten in the store and shipped them to me. Highly appreciated :) read more

This location does not have as much stuff as the location at 52 JFK just down the square a few blocks but being in the Holyoke center is super convenient to campus and they have the basics, t shirts, hoodies, stickers, coats and the most important water bottle! The 20% off for students with HU ID is great as well and the staff is always friendly read more

This is a good store, very small and not as overwhelming as the Harvard Coop which has the same type of stuff and is just down the street. Here you will find clothing, key chains, mugs, etc. all with the Harvard logo on it. This store is ideal for someone who wants some Harvard merchandise but doesn't have time to walk through a great big store to get it. read more

I'm going to review the online store Very bad customer service, received a discount code which said cannot be applied to the purchase, emailed the store and got a standard reply copy pasted from the website which was not helpful at all! The code I received originally did NOT say there were any restrictions!!! A lot of the merchandise is unisex with no help whatsoever regarding sizing! Returns are paid for by the customer!! We went here after walking around the Harvard campus. Since Boston had lifted their mask mandate and the CDC did as well 2 weeks prior, we weren't expecting to be required to wear masks, and therefore didn't bring one. We had walked around for at least 5 minutes before they told us "Masks are required, that means get out". We didn't get a warning whatsoever and they were extremely rude. We pointed out the mandate changes and asked if they have masks for us to wear but we were met with " There's the door, you can get out." Very bad customer service, very rude, and not a big selection of quality items. Would recommend the COOP instead. I would give no stars but it's not an option. read more

I purchased a sweatshirt online from the Harvard Shop, received it in the mail a few days later. The sizing was way off, a XXL was extremely small so I returned it. I had to pay $8 to return it which in itself is frustrating. Upon receiving it I received a confirmation email stating that I would be refunded the $52, however checking my bank a few days later I saw that not only have I not received a refund, but they charged me another $52 out of my account. According to my bank the error is on their end and the bank cannot do anything about it. I have emailed and called them several times to inform them that they now owe me $104 yet no one will return my call. They have "stolen" my money. I will NEVER recommend business with this company for anyone...simply awful! read more

Okay, so I'm a student here but I'm not one to wish to flaunt the Harvard name across my chest. Though, there are some reasonably priced polo's I was able to get for my father who did want that. The stores are small but intimate. I was greeted as walked in and even offered help (before I could ask) when I couldn't find a size. Plus, the JFK location is near the tea stop (awesome!). Anyway, what I love is that they always have something new. I just got a few American Apparel shirts... love the quality and keeps the "Harvard" to a minimum (I have a white wife beater with a small crest). I think they have the same stuff online (www.theharvardshop.com). Anyway... cheaper than the COOP when I need to get xmas gifts. I hear its student run also? Pretty cool. read more

The Harvard Shop offers Harvard clothing and souvenirs at the best prices in Harvard Square. (In addition, there are discounts for some tour groups and for most Harvard affiliates, so be sure to ask for a discount when you check out if you're eligible.) The items I have purchased there were high quality to begin with and are still in great shape after some years of use. Plus, I feel good shopping there because it's student-run, so the students can get business experience and earn money, and all the profits go back to the students. (Note that they also have locations in the Holyoke/Smith Center and on Mt. Auburn St. The JFK store is the only one with graduate school merchandise, though.) read more

I was in a hurry trying to buy gifts before I left and while they know that the item that I was looking for was available could be found at Harvard Coop, they chose to deliberately not to let me know about it until the Harvard Coop closed for new year vacation (so that I would only shop in their own stores).
