Poor service from the female bartender. She walked back and forth, back and forth past us over and over again without even acknowledging our presence

Someone started a pool cue chalk pyramid. I finished it. LOL!

We had a good time at the Harp on a beautiful, sunny San Diego day. Another couple joined us for a couple of drinks before heading to lunch at Dirty Birds. We sat at the rail that opens up to the sidewalk to enjoy that OB ocean breeze and the people watching. Someone before us had started to build a pyramid made of stacked pool cue chalk. I finished it. Good times. Friendly service from Holly. Cold beer.

Been here too many times to count! Started back in 2010 after little league games and the band Full Moon Fever covered Tom Petty on the regular. Back then the food was only ok. Now that it's been sold to some locals the place is alive with music and delicious food! The drinks are prepared by Johnny and Anna - both make a killer old fashioned. We go for the music and good times. If you want a crowd with good vibes and ever better music go to The Harp and hang out for a while. The food come out hot and delicious, served with a smile. They don't really have table service so as long as you don't mind ordering at the bar, this is the place for good music and food.

THE HARP @ OCEAN BACH Parking is available on the street only! My friends and I arrived around 9:30 PM, and there was no line at all. It was already pretty packed inside, lots of people, live music playing, pool tables, and a full bar area. I really loved this Irish pub. They had Guinness, which my boyfriend is absolutely obsessed with, and the overall vibe was great, very lively and energetic. My friends and I ordered a vodka Red Bull, but the service was honestly awful which lost a star for me. There was one guy behind the bar, I didn't catch his name, who completely ignored everyone waiting to order. All he did was clean up cups, and I'm not sure if he was only assigned to that, but he was behind the bar and still didn't help or answer to anyone who even dared to speak. My friend even asked if she could order a drink, and he immediately said "no." We stood there for about 10 minutes with no help until another bartender walked by. He was super nice and finally made our drinks. We got two vodka Red Bulls for $16 total, so about $8 each. They were definitely on the stronger side, which honestly isn't a bad thing if you want to feel it quicker. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was spacious and located in the corner of the bar. I really liked the live band, they played a lot of great throwbacks. One thing I did notice, though, was that the speakers were placed right next to the area of the band (very close to the dance floor / where customers stand) so it was really loud when walking by. I wish they had positioned them further back or higher up so customers wouldn't have a speaker blasting directly into their ear. Overall, the vibe was great. We didn't have to wait in line, and although it got more crowded later in the night, it still felt fun. There were a lot of older people there, so if you're a college student, just be aware, but even as a college student, I had a great time. I'd definitely come back to try their food next time, it looked really good. I loved the live band and the pool tables, and it's a solid spot for a night out.

Amazing bar for music and easy bar food. Great crowd and great servers. Fish and chips and wings are stellar. Weekday happy hour half off draft beers. GO BIRDS

Hands down the best fish & chips in San Diego that I have had! Fresh battered every order. Holly is a a great bartender. Always smiling and friendly.

After being viciously attacked a few years ago I'm still getting messages about other peoples poor experiences. You shouldn't be apart of the Ocean Beach community ! This waitress in the photo ignored me and my group for more than 40 minutes and then when I told her to do better she put her hands on me ! And the bar owner did nothing ! On a regular day the food is garbage and the beer is just as bland and lifeless as the people serving it .. this bar is owned by and hires ableist!

Always love coming into the Harp. The bar staff is always nice and accommodating and the live music is the icing on the cake. Loving the new menu too! Shepard's Pie and Fish and Chips are fantastic! Even the clientele is cool but that's just what you would expect in the heart of OB. See you soon at The Harp!

My new fave are the Irish Tacos the sauce on these are so good! 2 for $10 pretty good deal!

For a bar, that's not always a given, and as someone who doesn't drink as much these days, that immediately stood out to me. I grabbed a lavender leprechaun and it was super refreshing, light, and just a really nice change of pace from the usual soda-or-water options. It didn't feel like an afterthought, it actually felt intentional. For food, I went with the corned beef sandwich and it did not disappoint. Hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want from a proper Irish pub. The whole place has that classic pub vibe but still feels welcoming whether you're drinking or not. That balance is rare, and I really appreciated it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially knowing I've got solid non-alcoholic options to enjoy.

I hate leaving questionable reviews.. but also feel when we researched places we didn't get an accurate story. This is a true neighborhood pub.. the place you come so everybody knows your name. Which I love and can appreciate. But as an outsider it was kinda chaotic instead. A bartender came to clean a table for us. The largest grossest bugger hanging out of his nose, he had sweat marks so large there was no need to lift his arms to see them. He proceeded then to do shots at the bar with costumers. Which again... I totally can appreciate having a good time in a good neighborhood pub. The floors were so dirty around the booths. The menus dirty. Just over all couldn't stay and eat here. Did get some good laughs watching a few very inebriated customers, had some good drinks and went on our way. We personally wouldn't come back, but again if you live in the neighborhood and it's just that place you come to for your hang with friends, it's looks like it's a fun place.

Ruby was the first person I spoke with when I initially called, and she was lovely. The general manager Amber made planning easy - there were no deposits or minimums, I was able to order platters in advance, and she was great with communication. When I mentioned that the group loved Rumplemintz shots, Amber even set some aside after ordering extra bottles (and had it cold and ready when we came in). I was able to meet and thank Amber after we first came in, and she was so warm and welcoming and even gave us a few Rumplemintz shots on the house to kick things off (thank you again, Amber!). The reviews don't lie in terms of how good the food here is. When we arrived a little early, they had our platters ready almost immediately and kept them well-heated. We had platters of the sticky garlic wings and a mix of the garlic and regular fries, and ordered pretzels and queso and the elote dip à la carte for the tables. Everything was amazing and the sticky garlic wings and garlic fries were such a hit that we ordered a few extra plates of them as well (even though the platters were perfect for our group size). EVERYONE raved about them. We had a small amount left to bring home that were enjoyed the next evening and were still amazing after being reheated. A few people in our party got additional food items as well (burgers) and they were hits as well. The drinks were also phenomenal, with a special shoutout for the espresso martini and the Purple Haze mocktail (that a few folks liked so much they got an alcoholic version). We had a person in our group who can't drink and it was nice to see how inclusive they are with having a few signature mocktail options. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the platters (they were perfectly sized, and we only ordered a little extra because the food was so good and we'd wanted to take some home). Highly recommend getting platters with a larger group here - you can pre-order and they keep everything well-heated for you the whole time. Most importantly, this place is a vibe and every single staff member we interacted with was SO KIND and accommodating. The service was top-notch and I wish I had everyone's names to thank them individually (thanks to everyone working Saturday, 8/1 evening!).
