Both the hotel and breakfast were wonderful. The hotel is super quaint and charming, with comfortable rooms and amenities. Room snacks/bars aren't too pricey and the pool is nice. Staff were all kind and accommodating. Not terribly priced for the area. Breakfast was really nice as well. Very cute and good menu with nice specials as well. Food tasted very fresh and delicious. Drinks were good too. Fairly priced as well. Would love to stay here again when visiting! read more

Food was delicious and the space is clean, bright, cozy, and has that relaxed upscale Hamptons feel. Honestly, I was looking around thinking, yeah... I might need to redesign my living room after this vibe. Food delivered across the board and priced perfect for what you get. Went with the Hampton Maid Breakfast Platter and the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast. Both were excellent. The platter hits everything you want for a loaded breakfast, and the brioche was delicious. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and kept things easy. This a lot is also connected to a small shop and the hotel check-in area, which adds to the tucked-away charm. Great breakfast, great vibes, and definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

Wr recently stayed at the Hampton Inn We had a wonderful room, wonderful views and great amenities. The room was recently updated & very comfortable. Having been frequent summer visitors in the 70's and 80 's we enjoyed daily breakfasts at your famous breakfast restaurant. We were very disappointed in the recent downgrades at the restaurant . The bacon was overdone and not fresh The sausage, that was always delicious had a strange taste of oatmeal or some sort of filler. The eggs were overcooked & the serving of home fries was minimal. When we asked for rye bread instead of pancakes -we were told "our menu cannot be altered" . When we asked for a refill of decaf coffee we were told it there would be an additional $7charge for requesting decaf. Both carafes of coffee were awful! We would love to come back to Hampton Maid. but we would certainly expect more for a $65. read more

I absolutely adore the Hampton Maid! My family has been coming here for years now. Leslie, the restaurant manager, has always made us feel so welcome and made such an impression on my grandmother . Not only are the rooms beautiful to stay in for any occasion, but breakfast in the cafe is so delicious. This is such a quaint, quintessential Hampton Bays place. Highly recommend for a hotel stay, breakfast, or dinner at the new R.Aire restaurant. read more

R.AIRE at The Hampton Maid has a cottage-y vibe on the outside and is light'n'airy on the inside, which is what permits their prices to be higher than that of a standard American diner. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was pretty good, but it was not amazing. We ordered coffee and orange juice ($4.00 for maybe 6 ounces of obviously not-fresh-squeezed OJ) to start, followed by the special Homemade Corned Beef Hash (2 eggs, toast, home fried potatoes) and the Stack of Pancakes. I will note that the syrup that came with the pancakes was warmed, which was a nice touch. read more

On May 16 & 17, 2025 I booked a room for 2 nights. When I arrived I asked the amount charged to my cc and was told $300 for both nights. Did I need to sign anything? Answer: NO. Imagine my surprise when I received my bill: $719.78 charged...more than double what I was told. And it wasn't even summer yet! I disputed this charge with Chase, was given a refund, then recharged the $419.78 on my Sept. bill. OUTRAGEOUS. This is fraud. I have no recourse, but to take HM to small claims court. What's more there was a huge crack in the door which let in light and noise of people talking right outside my room as they sat on a bench placed next to the door. read more

Cuisine: 8 Service: 7 Decor: 8 Value: 7 Overall: 8 As if in a storybook, walking into this little cottage-like restaurant on a Saturday morning feels very magical. From the cute exterior that makes me think of the woodland residence of Goldielocks and the Three Bears. Now, if only they served porridge ... ... Actually, the food they do serve is quite fantastic. Our party of four only ordered the Kielbasa with Two Eggs from the regular menu. That's because the specials looked so interesting. We requested Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Green Eggs N' Lamb, and Homemade Corn Beef Hash. Oh yeah, we had some Fresh Baked Scones and side of Kielbasa for the table too. We shared a little bit of everything and can honestly say that I loved 80% of what my mouth tasted. Lamb was super tender and flavor, especially with the pistachio pesto sauce. Pancakes were fluffy, and that zest of lemon freshness makes it amazing. The kielbasa was delicious and not too oily. Scones were a bit different in texture than what I am use to, but still tasty. My only real complaint would be that the corn beef hash had too much potato and not beefy enough. As for service, everyone was very friendly and had a smile. However, often at times, it felt like we couldn't get anyone's attention. Still good overall. Also, before we left, we walked through their cute gift shop that had some really neat stuff. All in all, the experience was very charming and we will return when given the chance. read more

I don't know where to start. I booked this place as a night away for myself to relax. I didn't have any expectations. As soon as I walked into the reception and was greeted with a huge smile I knew I was onto something good. It's not glam but EVERYTHING you would need in a hamptons night away. It's not pretentious but still has a "hamptons vibe". It took 10 mins to drive into Southampton. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. Very well decorated. They have a K Cup machine. There is a huge grassy area with a corn hall area and a playground for children. The pool area is clean and enough beds for all with a bonus of towels. The restaurant and bar are bright and airy and the margarita is as made to perfection. The chef came out while I was there and was so smiley and friendly. I seriously can't think of a better place to stay in the Hamptons, than the Hampton Maid Motel. Make you reservations now. The staff from front desk to chef were all straight to greet me. Not sure I would stay anywhere else. read more

The service was poor with the meal coming out of order. The food was ok and I liked the coffee pot left on the table. The value was not what I expected. $35 per person for brunch which is a bit steep for egg varieties and a fruit cup. Same prices for a scoop of yogurt with fruit and store bought granola. Everything else was extra. read more

Today we finally had the idea to go to the Hampton Maid for breakfast. I have been wanting to get here for some time and finally had the right at the right time. The Hampton Maid inn sits up a small hill on the north side of Montauk highway just rest of the canal in Hampton Bays. You immediately get this feeling that you are at a lodge somewhere on Lake George, if you ever went to LG, you know what I am talking about. Now this place had some reputation, so plan ahead. They take no reservations (unless lager party of 10+). We arrived at 10:45 and had an hour wait.....but that's ok, this place is awesome and worth the wait. They are open only until 1 pm. For breakfast, we had an assortment of juice as Sarah, our waitress just brought to us after taking our order. The place was packed and we knew that there would be a little delay in getting our food, but it is so worth it. Each dish was too hot to touch, as they were placed on the table. We ordered egg white omelettes, I had the cheddar and bacon omelette (toast included) and a short stack and French toast as well. All the food was delicious and enjoyed completely!!! This was an awesome first time and I will be back again, probably during the week our especially the off season. The close on November and open again in April. Sarah, our waitress was excellent!!! read more

Stayed here one night and was recommended from a friend. Couldn't be happier one of the most nicest, serene place I have stayed at in a while. I wish I stayed longer and upgraded myself and family to a suite. Clean rooms ( thank god) nice playground for kids. Pool wasn't open yet nice space and such a cute shop inside the check in/ out, too bad my husband wouldn't give me the time to browse lol. Would have 5 stars but I always feel like any place there is room for improvement. read more

As local residents we've eaten here with family and friends prior to Covid. While the staff here was never particularly friendly, I never had such an off-putting experience as today. My husband, daughter and I came here hoping to be seated for breakfast but instead were treated with utter disrespect. Upon our arrival, we walked to the front desk only to be completely ignored and neglected by three female hostesses, none of whom seemed to know what they were doing. All three of them were unprofessional, rude, and chaotic. I realize that weekends are busy for many Hamptons restaurants but that is all the more reason to have competent staff on hand that knows how to treat customers. I guess this place just doesn't really care. After my husband tried three times to get one of the hostesses' attention, one of them finally looked at us after 10 minutes and rudely asked whether we had a reservation to which we replied we did not. She then looked down at her desk and after several minutes looked at us and stated: "I don't think we can seat you. Actually, I KNOW we can't seat you." She proceeded to lecture us about busy Sunday mornings in the Hamptons and the importance of making a reservation. She was so condescending and pretentious. Why make us stand there all that time if she had no intention of seating us? She made no attempt to accommodate us whatsoever and flatly told us no. She didn't even offer to have us wait. The experience was downright awful. After being quite literally kicked out, we peered into the dining room and noticed there were many unoccupied tables and the bar seating was open as well. We ended up at another restaurant where they sat us immediately (we didn't have a reservation there either) and they were warm and welcoming. I will never, ever go back to the Hampton Maid. read more

I used to love coming to The Hampton Maid years ago before it was redone. The food was fantastic and was a great breakfast spot. However I was very disappointed after going there recently. Even the most average cook could have conjured up something better than what I had there last time. Had no idea their grapefruit side would have looked like canned old grapefruit poured into a cereal bowl to the point it looked like soup. Disgusting. Love love love the Hampton Maid for breakfast! This cozy, no-frills, little restaurant is our favorite way to spend lazy mornings in the Hamptons. They have the traditional breakfast fixins from omelets to pancakes and French Toast, and they don't skimp on the portions! They have both indoor and patio seating, plenty of parking and while the service isn't as warm and fuzzy as you'd expect, they get the job done and are pretty quick. Pancakes are light and fluffy, omelets are topped with lots of melty gooey cheese and cooked beautifully, potatoes nicely seasoned, but only one complaint... they don't have real hot sauce.... And by real, I mean those trusted, bottled Mexican go-to's like Cholula or Tapatio. Shame. The weird, spicy mango concoction in those curios bottles is a sad, white person's attempt and not even close. Oh well, they've got the other important things down. Love the Maid. I had booked 5 rooms for myself and my family to celebrate my 40th birthday at the end of July. Unfortunately, the state of NY imposed COVID 19 quarantine restrictions on visitors coming in from California. I contacted the hotel to cancel my reservations due to the COVID 19 restrictions and they insisted on charging me a $250 cancellation fee, even though they have 3 1/2 weeks to rent out the rooms. They are sold out for that weekend. Shame on them for not being accomodating during a global pandemic. read more

This is a homely little spot to stop by for breakfast if you're near Hampton Bays. We came in on a Sunday, and the wait was a little lengthy at about 40 mins. The menu was pre-fixed and they had your all American breakfast choices with some unique Artisan selections like Lemon Ricotta pancakes! I ordered the platter with the mango pancakes, and although nothing truly stood out for me (besides my amazing Spicy Bloody Mary), the portions were more than satisfying ... especially for a long drive ahead of me! read more

Been coming here for decades. Each and every time regardless of the societal times they are friendly, professional. kind, welcoming and a higher end style accommodations. This is not your average "motel 6, clarion etc." This is why I chose it annually because they have always been clean, followed regulations, allowed me to safely be outside at night, have appropriate distancing in place and most importantly ample parking that is well lit. If you want to feel like you are in the country surrounded by the beauty of nature while accessing the local "Hamptons" you can do that without exposure to all the noise, people that are loud and over crowding that oftentimes occurs in other hospitality suite sites out here. They have changed due to the current restrictions in place. I felt safe, able to socially distance and still feel a little normal on a weekend. This family owned place has been a favorite for generations in my family and I respect the grounds, the rooms, the amenities (when they are allowed) and most importantly you can rest, relax, avoid tv, and live a little while reading on a beautiful porch with birds chirping, the sun rising or setting around you. I suggest this locale for those who can appreciate free time, space from others, dont need to be "connected" and will walk the property and enjoy what Long Island has to offer. This hidden gem always meets/exceeds my expectations. read more

If you're looking for a delicious, fair priced breakfast you've found the spot. Aside from operating what looks like the cutest bed and breakfast, this kitchen turns out an amazing breakfast to non-guests as well. Every time I have visited the service has been excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend the omelets since you can add whatever you'd like. Unlike many other places in the area, menu items come with potatoes and toast rather than a la carte. You can enjoy your breakfast both inside and out. There is a bar inside as well. I prefer outdoor seating where fans keep you cool, you can overlook the canal or the beautiful cedar cottages on the property. read more

I had a nice morning breakfast here recently with a grammar school buddy who lives in the Hamptons. Large selection of breakfast items and the waitress accommodated my omelet modification request (gluten free bread). Slightly more expensive than many breakfast places but I attribute that to it being located in a resort area of Long Island. Would definitely eat here again. read more
