My favorite piece in the gallery :)

This is a lovely museum out east in Long Island. They display modern art pieces as well unique neon lights. The museum has free admissions for students :) Nicole and I frequent this place to take pictures. They often host local events such as festivals and feature musicians and photographers. The last one we went to had food and arts and crafts for kids. The gallery has a clean aesthetic and I recommend checking it out!

The fee is only$12 to enjoy the achitecture, out door art installation. When you in Hampton it worst the time to stop by. We spend good 2 hrs enjoy massive space and art. Loving it

Attractive Museum - Impressive in size, both in the architecture length and the individual art pieces. There is a bevy of pieces by well known artists, in various collections by various foundations. Much like other contemporary museums, this museum had artwork that ranged from the early 20th century to current times, but was focused on local artists as well. I especially enjoyed this current exhibition, of which had focused on Alan Shields (In Motion) and Steven and William Ladd (Mary Queen of the Universe) - my favorite being the latter. My friends and I walked around the spacious museum, of which some of their permanent collection were of contemporary photography- such as a Chuck Close self portrait. I emerged myself in the space itself, enjoying the architecture of the ceiling and the echoes of various patron's steps throughout the hallway. It was a short, but memorable visit. I will definitely come back here again.

Awesome architecture at this austere brutalist "chicken coop" museum. Reports of its limited collection were greatly exaggerated. Gift shop has loads of fun things, so be sure to save some time and energy for it.

Beautiful space, natural lighting - nature being art

Amazing place in the Hamptons, Parrish Art Museum provides great art exhibitions and programs for the communities. This beautiful architecture is located in huge space creating unique experience both inside and outside the museum. I was mesmerized by the inside structure of the museum - it is not common. Saying that, this museum is one floor space that is elongated. With a high ceiling and natural lights coming in, the building itself creates cool experience for the museum visitors. Personally I really enjoyed the exhibition, "Artists chooses Artists" - a show curated by America's established Artists. I like the unique theme of this show and how well the space was curated with interesting, beautiful, and thought provoking art works. Enjoyed the permanent exhibitions as well and looking forward to visiting the space in the summer time!

Mean and uncaring museum for rich people only. Want to feel snubbed? Come to this place! Three visits. Three rude experiences.

Small, beautiful museum with a giant Lichtenstein sculpture out front. Admission is $12 for adults, free for students. Worth a visit

Free admittance and free lockers are provided in the basement for our big purses, coats, and water bottles. We took their recommendation and started at the top on the 4th floor and made our way down. There are a lot of paintings so it took us awhile and we ran out of time. The museum closes at 5pm and we were only there for 90 mins.

The museum was designed by Louis Kahn, and the building is incredible. It's built around two interior courtyards and has a spiral staircase hidden inside a concrete cylinder. Its design includes travertine, white oak, and concrete. As with his other museum that I love (the Kimbell in Fort Worth), the lighting is incredible (the skylights are designed in such a way as to allow in the most possible light, but diffused to protect the art). I knew when we walked in that we didn't have long in the museum, so I asked a docent for the architectural highlights, and he was kind enough to steer us to the most special aspects and rooms of the building's design. But so you don't think the museum is just an empty building, I should mention the art!! Their permanent collection is interesting - the largest and most comprehensive collection of British art outside the UK. When we visited, the museum also had some interesting temporary exhibits: "Tracey Emin: I Loved You Until the Morning" and "J. M. W. Turner: Romance and Reality." It's a really beautiful museum - both the architecture and the art. I'd love to return when I have more time - to really enjoy the collection and not just the architecture next time! What a museum!
