Wow. It was one of those desserts that makes you stop talking after the first bite. The cobbler was warm, packed with sweet blueberries, and had the perfect buttery, crumbly topping. Paired with the cold, creamy vanilla ice cream melting into it, it was absolutely incredible. I honestly wasn't expecting to find one of my favorite desserts at a butcher shop, but here we are! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their products and the experience they provide. It's rare that I update a review, but this place earned it. Between the outstanding meats, excellent customer service, and now one of the best blueberry cobblers I've had, Light Hill Meats keeps giving me reasons to come back. I visited the store and was very pleased with the selection of frozen foods including different greens, some fresh produce and all kinds of smoked and frozen fish. The vast inventory of cooking oils was especially good and the variety of packaged products was overwhelming. I am extremely happy that I do not have to travel all the way to Nashville to get what I want anymore. I understand there may also be cooked food in the future. A Facebook page would be nice, too. The young man who helped me make my purchases was very nice and professional. I will enjoy visiting this store on a regular basis!
