Based on the outstanding reviews of Gutterworks at Washington Consumer Checkbook and Yelp, I contacted Auguste to fix a detached downspout and inspect and repair a leaking gutter seal. He responded quickly, offered a fair price, and completed the job on his first visit. I would happy hire him again for both minor repairs and larger gutter jobs. read more

Auguste is a subject matter expert!! Fantastic customer service. BEST price! Repaired our gutter. Needed a downspout completely replaced. Quick turnaround! Quote was using Yelp. Swift communication! The Gutterworks Company - Gutter downspout repair (replacement). Amazing job Auguste! Awesome price!! - Gutter Services Near Me

Excellent service. We replaced 3 gutters on our townhouse and the work involved maneuvering around a radon fan pipe that routes to our roof. The owner was onsite during installation and quickly fixed a last-minute alignment issue identified during my final look through of their work. Fairly priced, fast to schedule, and reliable communication. I would recommend them to anyone who needs gutter service! read more

Gutterworks Co. is honest, timely, and professional, and provides excellent service. We have used them three times over the past five years, and they never disappoint. Most importantly, even when an incidental part of the project is not perfect, they notice it and come back within a week to fix it. Gutterworks Co gets 10 stars in my book. Went to consumer checkbook and Gutterworks had a ton of happy customers. Hired August and his team. They arrived on time with August Remy supervising. We are so happy we hired his team. The estimates were more than reasonable. Another well known company's estimate was six times more (many commercials on tv). Couldn't be happier!! read more

If I could give a 6-star review I would. Auguste did a major overhaul of the gutters on our home in the Fort Hunt area of Alexandria about 4 years ago. Because of the layout of the home and existing features, there were some aspects of the install that were less than ideal, but Auguste put it all together extremely well, replacing only sections that needed larger gutters to handle the water flow. He fed the main downspout down into an existing below-ground drain. He also installed covers for all gutters, which have been virtually zero maintenance over four years. We just had a large storm come through and the below-ground drain was clogged. Despite the lengthy period of time since the initial install, August came out within 24 hours and made a significant adjustment to bypass it in the near term. He insisted on making these adjustments (which took about an hour) without charge despite me being pushy about it. It speaks volumes about the character of the business. Quality work, extremely responsive, and friendly as well. The Gutterworks will forever be our go-to! read more

I called two other places before The Gutterworks Company. I wish I called them first. They were the most responsive and quick to give a quote which I thought was fair. They did a great job and there were no surprise charges. The owner, Augustine, came out to check on the job afterwards to make sure I was satisfied. The gutters look great. Thanks for a great experience. read more

I second the outstanding reviews. Auguste replied right away. He's super friendly and professional. It was easy to schedule, the price was very competitive, and the work was superior. read more

The value just isn't there. They charged almost $2k for 3 hours worth of work, and left screws all over my driveway and patio.

I needed a downspout gutter replaced. The price was reasonable. The crew was efficient. I would recommend Gutterworks Company without hesitation. read more

I called them on short notice to fix my leaky gutter which was driving me crazy. I was on a time crunch with a home inspection coming up, Auguste was very nice, worked with my short notice, they guys showed up on time, did a excellent job, no more leaky gutter. Been a couple weeks now, no more leaking, price was very good, Im very happy. Thx again read more

Excellent work and pricing, I'm so glad we found Auguste and his company!! Installed new gutters in 2019 and they have been a game-changer for our house - no more leaks, no more water gushing into the basement well windows. Thank you, Auguste! read more

I am not sure Auguste needs another 5 star review, but he deserves it. Auguste helped me tackle a difficult 2 level project after my contractor went AWOL. This was a complicated, custom operation, but Auguste made it feel straightforward. I had three estimates: one fly by night operation wanted 1.5x what Auguste asked. The other, a very reputable company, wanted 4x! I couldn't be happier with the result. Auguste was even willing to move out of his comfort zone and devise a pvc solution for a half finished sump pump. It works perfectly. I've tried to add pics of his work here on yelp. He is super contentious, fair and extremely responsible. His workmanship is excellent, and his customer service is superb. read more

I had a small gutter and downspout job. I read good reviews for The Gutter Works Company and since my house is located in Springfield/Burke I decided to contact them. Mr. Auguste Remy came out and gave me a written estimate which I felt was reasonable. I gave the job to The Gutter Works Company and was very pleased with how timely the work was completed and the quality of the work performed. Part of the job involved wrapping downspouts around a new shed with limited space in which to work. They accomplished the work providing a finished job exactly as requested. I would gladly recommend Mr. Remy and The Gutter Works Company to others. read more

So glad someone finally started a Yelp page for The Gutterworks Company. Auguste (the owner) is a rare gem in the messy and unreliable world of home improvement contractors - especially in the Northern Virginia DC Metro Area. Over the past few years, various members of my family (my brother, cousin, parents), a few friends, and I have had the pleasure to work with Auguste. Each time, he delivers with flying colors. He is always on time, dedicated, and super knowledgeable about gutter installation / gutter replacement, and most things related to home improvement in general. Auguste is our go-to guy and a dream to work with. His honesty & sense of humor are refreshing! read more

I'm blown away by the service offered from this place. I called for an estimate and left a message. Got a call back within the hour and August came by that afternoon. He took a look, gave me a great price and took care of the gutters immediately. Not only that, but I had only asked for the front gutters to be reattached. August checked the back and reconnected them as well for the same original price! Job was done before I knew it. Will totally be calling again if need be. read more

Outstanding company. Quality workmanship. Very fair pricing. Pleasure to work with. You can't go wrong.

We had August and his company install our née gutters over two years ago, amazing work. We just had his team back out to clean them and check for any necessary tightening, we really appreciated his responsiveness and the quality of his team's work. Thanks! read more

A gutter on our house was failing and causing some damage to our siding. After going through a few contractors who couldn't fix it, we found Auguste at Gutterworks. He was super responsive, came quickly to give a quote and was able to get me on his schedule within a week. They communicated when they were coming, worked quickly and cleaned up when they were done. Pricing was also really reasonable. Best part is, he was able to fix our issue! I will definitely be calling them for any future gutter problems. read more

When the gutters on my home started pulling away from from the roof line, I decided it was time to replace the gutters with something a bit nicer and stronger. After contacting five services using Yelp, I heard back from four of them and ended up getting quotes from three. Of the three quotes, two were lower than the third, and the one I went with was local to me. Auguste was very responsive through the entire process. He showed up to do the quote even when I wasn't at home, and answered all my questions quickly. As soon as we scheduled a date, he sent a reminder the day before to let me know what time they would be out the following day. When they showed up, they got everything done very quickly. I was concerned that the facia has rotted away (which was why the gutters had fallen away) but he took pictures to show me that it was actually in decent shape and that only one a small section needed to be replaced. I was relieved that not only would I avoid that cost, but that I knew Auguste was giving me an honest assessment. The gutters look great and he was able to reduce the number of downspouts, making it easier to control the flow. Highly recommended. read more

Nothing but good things to say about this company and their workers. They were professional and courteous in the estimate and the installation. You can feel the integrity when talking with Auguste (the owner, estimator, and customer face of the business). Their equipment and product is high-quality, as is the installation. They arrived when they said they would, and did the job thoroughly - even adding an extra bit of guttering for an odd corner at no extra charge. True professionals, and at a reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone. And that means you - who are anxiously scrolling through the yelp reviews worried about getting taken for a ride, or picking a company that would do shoddy work. These guys you can trust. (And it turns out the owner is a local boy as well!). read more

Every time it rained hard, I had a waterfall over my front door. After doing research, I figured that I needed a slightly larger downspout. Auguste came out quickly and on time. He showed me that the gutter was also sagging. He said that he could repair it, but said that for a little more, he would replace the gutter with one to match the new downspout and tilt it correctly. We agreed, and he did it the next week when I was at work. I have checked during this summer's downpours, and the new gutter works perfectly. HIs price was reasonable, he checked all of my other gutters, and instead of trying to sell me something else, he said that everything else looked good. I highly recommend his company. read more

I see why this business has gotten such high reviews. I shared with the owner that we were having leakage issues, so he suggested installing a shield, which his team did. However, the leakage issue continued, so he came out again to inspect. It turned out that our community has custom gutters that can't be changed easily, and there wasn't much he could do since it was out of his control. He didn't charge me for any of the work that he and his team did since the problem wasn't solved, but I really appreciated his integrity as a business owner and how he tried to think of creative solutions. I recommend this business, and will go back to them if I need theirs services in the future. read more

I can't say enough good things about Auguste and his company. He installed gutters on my house last year in one day and with the best estimate out of three. Then this year I had an issue with water running over a spot at an inside corner. I called Auguste and he came out in two days and added a shield for free! Whatever you do, you definitely need to let Auguste look at your situation and give you an estimate, he knows what he is doing! read more

Auguste is fantastic! He cleaned my gutter and found an issue with my front gutter which I noticed it for some time. He gave me discount because he could not clean the gutter due to the problem. When I called him and asked him about detail of the problem, he explained and gave me few options to fix the problem. I still didn't understand completely and he offered a visit to meet me and explain. He showed up 10 min before his appointment time and waiting on me. He pointed out the problem and explored the options for fix. He was honest and very professional. I can tell that his business goal is to satisfy the customer with most effective service. I will wait for another rain and see if the problem is still there but I will defiantly call him if I need any help in the future! Thanks for your help, Auguste! read more

I was impressed by every aspect of this company. I called after my gutter was half blown down by the wind. I called several people and no one could come out for about a week. I emailed The Gutterworks Company and Auguste with some pictures and comments and was given a very rough estimate and availability in 2 days for repair or 4 days to replace. I was texted the morning of arrival and they showed up exactly on time. Auguste came out and was a pleasure to speak with, they did the work great, and even did some extra items that I didn't expect them to do (nailing in a couple boards on the other side which wasn't even connected to the gutters in repair & repairing the drain pipe). The price came in lower than his actual quote (from pictures and discussion) so he gave me the lower price and I gladly went ahead and paid the original quote as it was already lower than a gutter contractor in my neighborhood I knew (who couldn't come out for a while) and they did a few things extra that they didn't charge for. Timely response Quality work Friendliness Great Communication Great Price There is no need for me to have anyone else ever do my gutters again besides this company. Will refer to anyone who is interested in gutter work. read more

Well, not much more can be said after Joel's review. The review had a direct impact on me choosing The Gutterwork Co. Called for an estimate, Auguste showed up, gave a great price and I said we'd be in touch. I called 2 others for estimates and no one showed. I took this as a sign. The Gutterwork Co was hired. They showed up while I was at work and when I returned home, viola! Absolutely beautiful. Joel my unknown friend, you hit the nail on the head. These guys are GREAT, would highly recommend. The glowing reviews here prompted us to call this company. Auguste and his crew did an amazing job! We needed help in a hurry because part of one of our gutters fell off the house during a storm, thanks to the buildup of leaves in the gutter and a rotten fascia. He came over the day I called to remove the gutter completely because it was a safety hazard, then did an assessment on the spot. We accepted his proposal and the work began a few days later. We got all new fascia, gutters, downspouts and screens for an incredible price! We could not be happier with the work and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a gutter company. read more

Auguste was great! He was able to come out quickly, the work looks great, and the price was very competitive. Highly recommend.

I recently obtained estimates for replacing my old gutters with new ones, including gutter guards. The Dream: In my dream, really a nightmare, I was being held captive in my own house for the third hour in a row listening to a sales pitch from a Timson Crock salesman. After I vehemently said no to the first estimate of only $8600.00, the salesman continued to expound on why his product was superior to any other product in the world. As I continued to decline the offer, he kept lowering the price. After the second hour, the price was now only $6400.00. But once again I declined the amazing bargain price. At that point I figured that he would realize I wasn't interested in his product. But wait, there's more! At the end of the third hour the price had inexplicably dropped to $4400. How could I possibly decline such an offer? I didn't have to because, luckily, I work up from the dream. The Reality: There are seemingly hundreds of companies in this area that install gutters and gutter guards, so getting estimates was a daunting task. As usual, I used Yelp to narrow down my choices to five companies that had high ratings. I quickly realized that the real problem was deciding what type of gutter guard to use because at last count there are at least 88 different types of guards available. Naturally, each company sells what they consider to be the "best" guard. I then reviewed and watched videos of about a dozen different type guards ranging from helmet types to foam pads. Again, each manufacturer claimed that their guard was the "best". Interestingly, reading reviews posted by actual users of the various types of guards gave me a different perspective. In essence, many users found fault with the guard they purchased regardless of price. Some of the guards promise to be clog free for a certain number of years, or even forever. However, by reading the actual warranty I saw that the gutters had to be routinely cleaned for the warranty to be effective. Think about that for a moment. Of course the gutters will be clog free if they are routinely cleaned. Then, I also read an older Consumer Report article comparing various types of guards. Their conclusion was that a standard gutter screen available from Home Depot was just as effective as ones that cost hundreds of dollars. Speaking of cost, when I was getting estimates I found that the guards themselves were almost as expensive as the gutters. For example, one company quoted me a price of $1200.00 for the gutters, and an additional $920.00 for the guards they used. After getting five estimates that were all higher than I wanted to pay, I looked at the Washington Checkbook magazine and read their reviews of gutter companies. The company that stood out was one that 52 people out of 53 people highly recommended. That company, The Gutterworks Company, was not listed on Yelp so I added it because it was the one I used. The company actually consists of two people, the owner and a helper. The owner is on every job helping with the installation. When I talked with Auguste, the owner, I explained my dilemma regarding the choice of guards. He fully understood my concern about paying an exorbitant amount of money for guards that need to be routinely cleaned and said that he uses a simple screen similar to the one recommended in the Consumer Report. Auguste and his helper showed up exactly on time and methodically removed the old gutters and installed the new ones. The day he did the installation was one day after a heavy storm, so there were hundreds of small branches on the roof. He cleaned the entire roof, and also cleaned up all the debris on the ground near the house. I found Auguste to be a very honest contractor who didn't try to up sell me on anything I didn't want. His price was considerably lower than any of the five other estimates I received, and the work was impeccable. Obviously, I would highly recommend him, and hope that Yelp readers will consider him for gutter work. read more

The gutter cleaning company I have used for years had always told me I could not install gutter guards because they won't work for pine needles which are fairly abundant in our area. After a few years of continuing to have waterfalling problems off my roof within a few months after gutter cleaning, I decided to try a different company. Contacted TheGutterWorksCompany/Remy Gutters after reading the very positive reviews on Yelp. So very glad I did. Auguste provided a list of gutter guards that are effective for pine needles and told me which two he recommended. I researched a few of the products on the list, including his recommendations and found they were highly rated. A few days later Auguste and his 3-member crew arrived within the time I was given. It only took about 1/2 hour for them to clean my gutters, downspouts and install the gutter guards. I will call them once a year to clean off the roof and gutters. Hopefully, this will take care of my recurring waterfalling problem. Very professional, helpful, and patient in helping me decide which route to go. Highly recommend. read more
