When I asked this woman if she had anything besides beer, she got really snarky and said "this is a brewery" I've been to plenty of breweries which offer ciders and seltzers. This place is like all the others but with crappy service, dirty tablees and forgetable beer.

It seems everyone else thought the same as the inside of the pub was packed. Outside in the front, there were seats and a fire brewing, and upstairs there was a bathroom and some wind passing by. It was a nice evening. I only wish I had had stomach for beer as they had quite the variety.

The best pulled pork sandwich in downtown Menomonie?! The sauce sounds like it would be weird because there is mustard in it but I can confirm that it is delicious and really makes the sandwich. Props to The Abbey for having a limited menu and having a few really good dishes instead of a bunch of average bar food. Apart from the atmosphere, food and staff there are really good drink specials at The Abbey as well! Every day there is a near unbearable special. When school is in session these deals are definitely taken advantage of by the Stout students. If I had to credit this place for just one thing it would be that the building itself is such a relaxing place. No flashing lights, no overly loud music and no amateur DJ screaming at the top of their lungs like other bars in Menomonie. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and relaxed, thanks in no small part to the awesome tin ceiling-- it kind of gives this place a vintage charm you don't see often.
