One of the reasons I choose a place to shop is who offers a military discount. Grove says they offer 10% but the refuse to apply. My order was $300 and the 2 products that were full priced that I requested 10% on would have been $7.20 or 3.6% discount - they refused. Was told they don't do that because other items were discounted. Don't shop here if you think you'll get a military discount. Why lie? It's just a sign of the times I suppose. read more

I was going to be in the area so I agreed to stop by The Grove for a friend. She asked if I'd pick up some gummies for her. I was happy to. I am completely uneducated in the world of cannabis products. My friend sent a text telling me what she wanted. I rolled up (pun intended) to the store and was greeted by a very pleasant security guard out front. I walked in and it was not at all crowded. I showed my ID to the young ladies behind the window and was buzzed in. I walked up to the very sweet girl behind the counter, explained my lack of knowledge and showed her the text. She grabbed a couple of items and showed them to me. I knew that the packaging was different than what my friend usually gets. She then suggested that she look up my friend's purchase history. What a great idea! She did so and we quickly knew exactly what I needed. I was a day early for the buy one, get one for $1 deal, but "the button worked" so she was able to hook me up. Great customer service at The Grove. According to those in the know, great products too. read more

it's so not cool that there isn't a time listed on the website regarding deliveries. originally i was told by an employee that they delivered until 9- so when I goth the phone call at 8:45 that they would not be delivering my order(placed at 8:20ish) i was suprised that they stopped taking orders at 8:30. had I known earlier - i would've just driven over. fast forward to tonight- still NO TIME LISTED FOR DELIVERY ORDERS- I place a crazy quick order- in by 8:09- and get a phone call 10 mins later saying they stop taking orders at 8pm now. Sigh- c'mon people- just put the damn delivery hours on the website.... read more

The vape pens they sell are worthless!!! they do not hold a good charge. bought 2 in the last 3 months. Go to Amazon for less than half the price. They sell it for $20 plus and does not last long! Waste of $20 bucks. All products are way overpriced compared to Green Thumb in La Mesa' better customer service. Do not order online, over price minimum and delivery fee. Time to move on. Thanks read more

From my very first visit I fell in love with this little stand-alone dispensary tucked away in a rather industrial area. The service provided by staff is always exceeding expectations. The whole weed buying process is always elevated when you end up leaving with laugh lines on your face :) They're always stocked up on my favorite growers & strains from CBX (Gluetopia, Grape Gasby, Highuasca, etc.) and my new favorite strain, Lazer Fuel from No Till Kings. The prices can be a bit high but you get your value's worth. You can get discounts when you're a first time patient, a student / teacher, or military personnel. Check them out today! read more

Great service and a lot of different things to try. More options than most dispensaries.

Don't come here if you like to shop or you don't know what you want immediately. It was our first time here, thank goodness I knew somewhat what I was looking for. You can't browse, the people aren't that overly friendly and welcoming. They're not your typical bud tenders with knowledge whatsoever. I don't even think they gave us anything for our first time in. And its like wait your turn like the DMV... We won't be back. read more

THE WORST FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE & would never recommend for anyone else's first time. Employees are either too high to realize what items they're giving out to the customer OR don't care what you're leaving with. So if you decide to go, make sure you leave with the RIGHT PRODUCT. Placed an order online for 2 items. They were out of 1 item & was able to replace that one with a different strain but by the time I got home I realized the 2nd item was a total DIFFERENT ITEM THAN ORDERED. Called them before driving back and was asked who's name the order was under & explained it was my boyfriends.. they said there wouldn't be ANY ISSUES that I would just need to pay the difference. After receiving all the WRONG INFORMATION over the phone & drove back down there just for them to tell me they COULDNT GIVE ME A REFUND OR EXCHANGE because my boyfriend place the order under his name?? AND had to choose a different strain AGAIN for the item ordered because they were "out of stock for that strain" as well. After choosing something different, they said they could ONLY DELIVER to our home so HE can receive it. So we waited over an hour to receive our order. Never again ordering through weedmaps or coming back to this location. read more

One of the best selections of 710 products in San Diego! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and their rewards program is excellent. While they don't offer discounts on 2.5g medical jars anymore , this spot is still one of my go-to places for top-quality 710. read more

Love this spot. They have always been on point with their cannabis and prices. I've been coming here since they were only medical cannabis & always looked out for the patients over profits. Always fresh flowers and the latest & greatest cannabis SKU's on the market for the best price. They just got in Happy Fruit CBN rosin gummies that rock. Priced right & great deals and service is the best. Budtender education is on point & I'm in and out with the new lay out. I love it. I won't go no where else when I'm in La Mesa. SD !! I wish I had words to describe the experience I just had but they would be a waste lol they lost a two year customer off some horrendous customer service that was completely avoidable. Hope it was worth it Joseph and praying for whatever it is you and your bud tender this morning were going through that makes you think it's okay to talk down to people, let alone customers. Sad because the rest of the bud tenders and other managers have always been so cool and kind and literally say hi to me by name, but being talked down to while trying to get some bud is gonna have to be a no for me lol there are 5 dps within the grove with all the same products... pass on the grove. Go to urbn leaf in bay park instead- Steven is cool and they treat customers with respect. La Mesa location is cool as well, as is cookies, lit and dr green thumbs, all within 5 miles of the grove, minus being disrespected. Good luck guys read more

I was confused in the store why my bill was five dollars more than it should've been. But they kept telling me that that's what the price was and so I paid but looking at the receipt it said credit card was 1213 but I spent 1713 in total. So you tip yourself five dollars without telling the customer is crazy.! read more

I don't understand why there's low ratings on here, I had an AMAZING experience with the Grove. I ordered delivery, they got my order to my front door same-day in under 90 minutes. Most of the other dispensaries do not offer delivery or cannot fulfill it same-day you have to preorder. The selection was good, the prices are comparable to everyone else, and their website was designed a lot better than the competition (especially Urban Leaf, my God, their website is a technological abortion). Overall, a great experience, I will be returning for sure. read more

Been going here for 2 years. Don't be fooled, they are literally high on their own supply. I've worn my mask for 2 years, vaccinated, and complying with all covid guidelines. Today the mask mandate 2/15/2022 was lifted. I was told it doesnt matter put on the mask. I would assume, considering the mandate has been lifted I have the right to say no. Nope. I then was told by the Owner to "Shutup, and just buy his weed." Excuse me?? So hey if you like handing your money over to people like that keep going. Me? 100s of other places to go and going. They have basic products, and are rude as hell. They won't be getting any money from me. ***Update*** They did me a huuuge favor went to Dr Greentbumb down the street and found a new spot!! They had wayy better selection, can look and see like a real store. Thanks The Grove, for being rude as hell and ungrateful to customers, now I have Better spot read more

This place has some days better than others. I've probably visited here 5 to 6 times total. They have have a fairly large selection of everything you could possibly be interested in. Everything is very well displayed and the employees will usually be able to answer it any questions you might have. The only downside is that some days the employees just dick around and take forever. There will be three to four of them in a small group laughing, talking about whatever, even though there's a line outside the door waiting to get in. If they are employees that just got off the clock or are about to start, maybe have them wait in a break room so it's less frustrating to be sitting in the lobby and seeing so many people doing nothing when you just want to pick up and be on your way. Also, every time I've been there's been the same guard and he has this tough guy facade the entire time. I've been to other dispensaries where the guards are very kind + polite and will chat it up with you. The dude I've seen acts like he's guarding the White House and won't give you more than a "hello". read more

Very clean and professionally ran establishment! Tenders are very knowledgeable of all their products and what would be best to suite your needs or ailments you may be having. From flowers, vap products, edibles, lotions and balms, they offer it all! Only downfall is that they are pricier than other dispos I have been to. They do offer HH from 7-10am (10% off anything in the store). If I am not mistaken they also are able to renew your medical access at this location. read more

5 stars for Reese! He was such a lovely butender and had the most welcoming energy. I come here often but he was the first person to make me actually feel comfortable and answered any questions I had/ gave great recommendations(: He put me onto Jeeters and I recommend 100% they have a bubble game flavor and an apple fritter flavor and they actually taste/smell like bubble gum and apples. So again 10/10 Reese is great, and so are his recommendations(: read more

I placed a pick up order on Weedmaps and when I come in to pay for my item they tell me that they don't have 2 out of the 4 items that I ordered. The white girl at the window was no help. She didn't offer me no deal. Maybe a cheap preroll. Nothing at all! I'm not asking for my whole order to be free and it's not like it's coming out of their pocket anyways. This is how y'all don't get people to come back. My first time here too and it's already off to a bad start. Not to mention I feel like I'm getting stared down by the security outside. Any other place I go to the security are nice and welcoming and show their eyes but this man acted like he was mr macho and owned the place, walking around with his chest out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I didn't even get to step inside to see everyone else's customer service. But the ones who need better training are the ones at the window. Yes she was apologetic but no one was trying to make it right. I just waisted my time and gas and for what??!!! read more
