Our 83 year old home has original Saltillo Tiles which I don't think have ever been restored since…read morethey were installed. Due to the porosity of clay tile, it can very easily be ruined by the wrong type of cleaning and sealant application. It's a job for professionals. And folks who specialize in this type of tile are hard to find. I found Tyler and his company, Seal Systems through Yelp and called them for an estimate. I was pleased to learn this is ALL they do. They specialize in natural clay tile restoration. Tyler's dad even created a proprietary cleaning solution to address the potential issues of stripping off old sealer. On Day 1, they showed up and stripped the tile on their hands and knees. No machines, just two guys working their a$$es off. On Day 2, the sealant went down, four coats in total (I believe) were spread. (I prefer the high-gloss Saltillo). The tile looks gorgeous. The patina is still there but the whole room has a new life. I love the way it turned out - 100% exceeded my expectations (because old tile restoration can be hit or miss.) If you have clay tile that needs some TLC - hire these guys. They are professional, responsible, dependable, and know what the heck they're doing. Also - family owned business...that's a good thing.

I did my research, visited flooring companies and even got a quote from one, however I was very uncomfortable with the lack of customer service so decided to keep looking. I'm so glad I listened to my inner voice! My initial call went to voicemail and I was pleasantly surprised when William called me back a short time later. We talked about what I was looking for and he took the time to ask questions, answer questions - I never felt rushed. I decided to visit the store the following Saturday. Another surprise - at the other stores, the salesperson didn't really explain the flooring - just told me to pick out what I wanted. William took the time (even though I thought I knew what I wanted) to review the different types of flooring and pros/cons of each. Again, I never felt rushed. I was there at least an hour and was NEVER pressured to 'select one and let's get the measure scheduled'. I told him I was looking around and he was fine with that - reach out if I had any questions. I am one of those 'multiple visit, hard time making up my mind' clients but he was fine with that. I eventually selected the same flooring as with the first store and scheduled the measure. Since I had vacillated between 3 different colors, he brought all of them to the measure so I could look at them in my house against my furniture. I made a final selection and the next day, had the quote. Wow. $2000 less than the other store, which had seriously over measured some rooms! I paid the deposit and scheduled the work. The workers arrived on Monday at 9:30, introduced themselves and went over the rooms and process with me. I work from home so, while busy, I'm still able to keep tabs on what is going on. I had carpet installed 3 times over the past year and the difference between those contractors and rhem was like night and day. They were communicative, professional and displayed a true caring of the work they did. I felt like they took as much care as they would have if doing it in their own house. They moved my furniture - even heavy pieces, hung plastic sheets to reduce the amount of dust and cleaned up every day before they left. They made sure everything was right before moving on 'to the next step'. I always knew what they were doing and what was coming next. I had calls scheduled and they worked their tasks around them to reduce the background noise. They finished on Thursday afternoon and even vacuumed the stairs and upstairs open area just to catch any dust that may have settled there. I knew they would clean the areas they worked in but they went the extra mile. The next day, William came by to do a walkthrough with me, making sure I was fully satisfied. About two weeks later he called just to check in, be sure everything was still good. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new floors. I had saved a long time for them (yes, they offer financing but I wanted to pay cash) and when you save 10k and then use it for something, you really want that something to be perfect. Especially when it's something you see every day. Working with Robinsons Floors was, well, we'd have to come up with a whole new word to describe how great an experience it was. No sales pressure, happy to inform, great product, workers who clearly take pride in their work - what more can we ask?? I will be having additional LVP installed and would not call anybody else. They worked straight through, no breaks and finished in about 4-5 hours. They cleaned up, they vacuumed the area and made sure I looked at their work it before they left. The price we paid was very reasonable. It included taking the old carpet with them as well. Every person that I've encountered at the store is very kind, polite and professional. My only critique is I called the store on a Sunday to find out if our carpet had arrived, for installation on Wednesday. The person I spoke to said they would call me back on Monday to confirm. I did not get a call back. So I called on Tuesday to confirm that the carpet would be coming on Wednesday. His team did major work to level our uneven floors, and install flooring and new baseboards throughout our house in 4 days. We were so impressed with Luis' communication and oversight before, during, and after the project. He was always available when we called or texted, and he was on site every day as the project progressed. We got 3 quotes for flooring installation. The pricing was fairly comparable between all 3, and LJ's was in the middle.
