Wow!!! This place is almost perfect! I love the bright clean pantry like design. You order at the counter and they bring food to you if you can buy food from their deli and take it to picnic at the lake that's within walking distance. The menu has quality items you'd expect at a high end restaraunt but without a crazy price tag since it's not a full service restaurant. There were so many things I wanted to try so I'll have to go back. In addition to the deli they have a coffee bar. My only wish is that they had specialty latte's.
Visited 9/25/26. I'm a first time Grocer's table visitor. Was a bit nervous with its overall score but my friend had raved about it so we made a same day reservation for 4:30 and were able to get in no problem. I got the cranberry mule which was delightful and pretty similar to price points for the area. My friend and I split the chips and elote/guac, which was delicious and a great shareable for 2-3 people. My friend got a gluten free pizza and I got a summer salad. Literally the only knock this place gets is that my friend noticed the pizza didn't look gluten free and had to say something. Luckily she noticed before eating and they brought out a gluten free one quickly but as someone with celiac's that could've been a health risk so I can't give this the 5 stars I wanted to.
My daughter loves this restaurant and kept on recommending me to try it. The food was great but the Spritz flights are what was memorable. The flavor profiles were so unique and not something you find at other restaurants. There is indoor or outdoor seating options. Service was great. Looking forward to going back again sometime soon.
I was visiting a friend from Los Angeles and she brought me here for lunch. I was impressed by the location and the overall aesthetics of this place. It's located right by a gorgeous lake so you truly get to experience the beauty Minnesota has to offer. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich which came with a wonderful side of seasoned fries (seriously get them!). The pickles were also perfect. They have a bar area where you order your drinks, I got the lemonade which was also incredible! Not too sweet, the perfect summer bev. My friends ordered a lemon and lavender cookie and peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake. Both phenomenal. The service is quick and the people are very nice! But that was obvious from the moment I landed I noticed how friendly people were in Minnesota. I had a great time in Wayzata!
So I've been a die hard Grocers Table fan ever since they have opened but I was sorely disappointed in the experience today. Sunday afternoon, we arrived around 3. You have to order at the counter at this time of day. Not my favorite, but whatever. First I was confused who was in line to order and who was waiting to order. Not great. Second, I decided to get in the food and drink line vs the drink line since I wanted a charcuterie board and drinks. At my turn, I was informed that the charcuterie board isn't available until 4:00. Thankfully I didn't have to jump to the only drink line and ordered. Third, it took a bit to get my drinks for my husband and me. I was awkwardly standing around for 7-10 minutes while my husband waited at a table outside. I ended up sitting at the bar while I waited because I felt so awkward. Finally my drinks came. It was obviously too much for one person to make a trip, so I said out loud I guess I'll make two trips. I hoped that the two busboys that weren't doing anything would help, but nope. I carried my husbands drink out. And made a second trip for my spritz flight. Spritz flight I set down on the table on the patio and the middle drink ended up spilling all over me. Disappointing but felt on par with the experience thus far. I sat down and watched another girl spill ALL of her flight in her, so clearly it wasn't just me. Overall, not great but I'm sure I will be back eventually because I have had good experiences other times.
The crispy hot chicken sandwich was excellent--the spicy pickle slaw really stood out. I loved the brioche bun and appreciated that the chicken was hand-breaded. The only confusing part was the ordering process. I ordered a glass of wine and wasn't told I needed to pick it up from the bar, so I expected it to come out with the food. I understand the concept, but it wasn't very clear when walking in--where to order, how food is delivered, and that drinks are picked up separately. The staff also weren't very engaging, either at the counter, when delivering food, or at the bar. A more welcoming experience might have encouraged us to order additional drinks. That said, it's a really cute spot, and I'd definitely give it another try next time I'm in town.
I've been here several times since they've opened over the course of the last few years but kept forgetting to write a review! I've tried the breakfast pizza, pancakes, pastries, and most recently the smoked salmon salad and the soft serve. Everything I've had is delicious. The service can be a bit slow for dining in especially during peak hours, even during the weekdays. But the food delivers every time. I absolutely loved the salmon salad. Give me goat cheese on a salad any day! The salmon was perfectly cooked as well. I tried a Mocktail too - although I forgot the name, it was pretty tasty overall. My favorite was the soft serve. Unfortunately they ran out of the seasonal flavors and a couple other specialty flavors but they let us customize our own. I got vanilla soft serve with salted caramel and cookie pieces. It was pretty tasty! The cookie pieces were just ok - kind of dry and hard, not chewy. But the salted caramel was phenomenal.
This was my first time visiting the Grocer's Table for dinner and it's equally if not better than their breakfast. I was so impressed by the variety on the menu, they truly have something for everyone. The food was delicious and we had amazing service! Bonus, parking can be challenging in downtown Wayzata but there are two ramps right next to the restaurant which makes it super convenient!
Food: Decent salads. Large portions. My favorite has been the Six-Grain Harvest Bowl. Ambiance: Cute ambiance inside and outside seating as well and it's mostly shaded. Location: Great location with lots of parking nearby. Service: Be sure to check in with the host to get a number and table assigned before getting into the line that's usually kind of long for food. There's a separate line for drinks. The staff are helpful and friendly. Overall a decent place if you want to have a nice lunch near the lake.
Ice cream is the best! If you are in Wayzata stop here for the ice cream. They have many other wonderful things too - a deli full of salads and a coffee bar. You can also get wood-fired pizza. The service is attentive. Many people are working there to make your experience good. The prices are high. Otherwise, I would give this five stars because the quality is amazing. A small 8 oz. container of the deli salad was $7.00 for orzo and $10.00 for chicken salad. That is just too much and a bummer for someone who wants to get it often. The vibe is very cool.
We needed a location to celebrate my grandma's 99th birthday. I was able to easily make a reservation for the day of for a party of 10 through their website. It was nice that each family could go up & individually order & pay so we didn't have to worry about splitting up the bill later. The cocktails & mocktails were gorgeous and delicious. The food was good as well. The kid's burger was huge!Definitely a great value.Ambience was good & it was not too loud so we were able to easily socialize and my grandmother could hear the conversation. After finishing our food we had cake & just hungout for awhile. They were nice enough to give us a 15 minute warning that they had a reservation for our table coming in which was perfectly understandable since we had been there for 2 hours at that point. I would definitely recommend this spot for larger groups, but probably best to come at non peak hours since it looks like they do get pretty busy.
I thought the food selection was nice but the flavors were subpar. The shakshuka seemed very salty, I could barely eat it and my partner barely wanted it either, and I usually love salt and I usually love shakshuka. We also tried the pizza special and it was fine. I wouldn't recommend their pizza. I was surprised they charged for refills on cups of coffee. Basically subpar food but expensive. That being said the place was cute and bustling, the service was kind and friendly, and fun to shop around their little gift spot. That's why I'd give it a 3 star. Nice location in downtown Wayzata. Definitely a popular place! But just don't think the food is anything to write home about.

Have gone here a few times but always been in the winter. Recently went there and sat on the patio. It was such a great time and the staff were so sweet. The place isn't huge so wouldn't suggest for large parties unless you already have a reservation. Got the bruschetta on happy hour and the lemonade and it was delightful! read more

Sometimes you really want a hearty yet also light breakfast. And while that may seem like a conundrum for most, I feel like we found the perfect balance at The Grocers Table! The space itself is so open and full of light, we spent a few minutes perusing their in house goods and fun little food-related gifts and gadgets. For food, we all had a hard time picking a meal, but I went with the hot smoked salmon toast. It was whipped chive cream cheese, red onion, cucumber, capers, lemon oil and herbs on caraway onion rye and it was delish! It filled me up but I didn't feel bloated or too full! I also had a glass of fresh grapefruit juice and I was not disappointed My friends got the quiche of the day and the sunny smoked salmon sandwich and I got to try a bite of both. AMAZING. So much flavor and freshness - Grocers Table is a must stop spot when in Wayzata! read more
I feel like I love the idea of this place and what it offers but I always leave feeling conflicted because no matter how many times I've been there I still feel as though I'm in the way while waiting for my order. Theres two doors and a dining space for the restaurant. The shop space feels somehow too crammed even tho I love the unique sauces and snacks they offer it's just lacking a proper waiting space. That's not blocking other customers or the servers. This visit was she most welcomed I've felt. Everything in the food case looked really good especially the quiche sounded delicious! I settled on the caramel pecan roll. It was good but a tad drier than I was expecting. They serve intelligentsia coffee here and the I've always enjoyed the coffee drinks! My cousin got a chai latte wasn't too excited about it said seemed a bit watered down. Grocers seems to be one of the last coffee hold outs near the lake! Definitely fills the void! read more

Finally got a chance to check this place out. Part market, part cafe and wine bar, this place is beautifully designed. I had the Ham and jam sandwich which was made with a lovely biscuit, ham, cheese, over easy egg and blackberry jam. It was delicious. My friend had the Smoked Salmon Bowl. She also thought it was very good and came with fresh English muffins. Will definitely be back to try other items and pick up some fun goods for a charcuterie board. read more

I ordered the mocha coffee. Righteously priced. It was surprisingly good for my taste. I finished the whole thing. The place was clean and the people were classy or classy want to be or fake classy just like me. Two covered parking across the street only 10 yards or 15 yards walk. Most employees were young, polite and professional. Quick service. read more

Loved my 1st trip here. It's a beautiful coffee shop/cafe/market. Reminded me a little of LynHall in Uptown. Currently they are not doing in room dining for dinner but lunch only. It is self serve, but a hosts seats you based on capacity and social distancing. You are able to book a reservation for parties of 4-6 for a bigger table and a server. It feels like one of those places you want to enjoy a Saturday brunch at. It's a very pretty setting, nice bakery display case, and good cafe options like pancakes, sandwiches, or pizzas. Look forward to going back! read more
I've been to The Grocer's Table three or four times now, and have always tried something new. Most recently I got the Crispy Chicken Green Goddess salad and wow! The chicken had a great breading, they did not shy away from the parm either! This is definitely one of my favorite salads. Make sure you look in their bakery case - I got a Rice Crispy Treat that was so good! Salty, buttery thick goodness in each bite. Very cute interior, service is always pretty good, and you can usually find a spot on a busy day. Notes: *Yeah, a little pricy, but it's Wayzata. *There's actually quite a bit of parking around! Never had an issue finding a spot. *Definitely try to sit on their patio. read more

I loved this place so much, it's now in my favorites and I will be a regular. We came for a late lunch and I was at first confused by the set up. It's a market/store and you order your food at the front then sit down at your table of choice with a number. I can tell it gets busy because of the crowd, but it wasn't too bad.The service was great and we tried a few recommendations that did not disappoint. Loved loved loved the food. Would definitely recommend and will be returning! read more

No idea how it took me a full year from their opening date to visit the Grocer's Table. This place is right down my ally - great food, beautiful drinks, cutest market, a nice service. I visited on a hot summer night with a good friend and sat in a cute little secluded spot by the side door. She ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a sweet cucumber slaw, MN comeback sauce with a Nashville kiss on ciabatta. WOW was the ciabatta amazing, the crunch of the chicken ideal, and the sauce was perfectly spicy. I ordered the Pasta of the Moment which featured Pappardelle with pork and a red sauce. It was totally out of my comfort zone, but I had seen the photos of their pastas and it looked to die for - and it was! Our server was quite pleasant and attentive, quick, and smiley. The Grocer's Table will certainly be my first choice of restaurants in Wayzata next time I'm meeting a friend out this way! read more

Wow! What a beautiful space in Wayzata, MN! It is bright, clean, and also has a beautiful patio space outside. Beat & Feta Hummus- this hummus tasted a lot like ...hummus. I love beats, so I wouldn't mind more of the earthy flavor but it made for a beautiful woman color & it was still super good. The pita chips were crispy, crunchy, and flavorful! I got the Soft Shell Crab Sandwhich per our wonderful Bartenders recommendation. It was delish! Between the bun is cornmeal crusted soft Shell Crab, butter lettuce, tomato, red onion, and remoulade. It was great. It was a dinner special , so they likely won't have it regularly but I do hope they make it again. I had a few shrub cocktails which were tasty. They also have bakery, retail goods & grocery's available. read more
We stopped in on a whim for a light dinner and drinks. There were a lot of empty tables but we were seated outside in the backend of the restaurant by the parking lot. It was still fine but kind of strange we didn't get better seating when there were "better" tables available. Service was ok - felt like the server was a little pretentious and forgot that we had ordered extra bread for our charcuterie board (there always seems to be an unbalanced ratio of bread) - which he made sure to tell us that we had to pay extra for. Service was a little slow but we did enjoy some great cocktails and wine. Some of the things we ordered was steak frites, ahi tuna tacos (delicious), charcuterie board, crispy chicken sandwich ($5 extra if you wanted fries with it!!!) and the Bita sandwich. I loved the European atmosphere of the restaurant and could have spent some more time looking at all of the interesting foodie gifts! I would eat here again - albeit a little overpriced. read more

Amazing spot for brunch or lunch! Extremely relaxed environment as you order at a counter and they bring your food out. The ambiance both inside and on the patio is fun and the aesthetics are adorable. Inside they have cute items and pantry items available for additional purchase. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict, delicious! Additionally, at the coffee bar I ordered the miel coffee. I think this may have been one of my favorite coffee items I've ever had. Essentially it is a latte with honey and cinnamon... amazing! read more

I've been a regular at The Grocers Table for about 2 years now. I just love the welcoming environment on top of the really good food. I always get a salad or a margarita pizza. Or in this instance both! Don't get me started on their pastries. They make pop tarts every coupe of Thursdays. I wouldn't miss it. read more

You can't spell "I am happy" without "ham." Just sayin'... We had the Country Biscuit Benedict, Avocado Toast, and the Mornin' Bowl at our first stop here! This place is about as modern and artisanal as they get. There's a sit-down restaurant area where you order at a counter, outdoor seating, and a market area of local, unique kitchen products. I chose the Country Biscuit Benedict. The house-made biscuits were square, and I always love when they twist the status quo with a different shape :) Smoked ham and sausage gravy made this a very rich, hearty breakfast I thoroughly enjoyed! The Avocado toast was fresh, but maybe not as thickly spread Avo as my dining partners had ordered before elsewhere, and the price tag was a bit high. The Mornin' bowl sported a subtle touch of local honey and is a fresh way to start off with lighter, fruit-based fare. Fantastic vibes and elegant eats at this establishment! I'd go back any time to try more of their inventive, intriguing menu options read more

This is an amazing place to have a quick bite and some drinks with friends. The vibe you get when you walk in is unmatched with all the unique products they have on display. The food is good but pricey. My go to is the All-day Breakfast Pizza. It has a brilliant mix of flavors. Then topped with an egg. It is hard to beat. read more
I love this place with my whole heart. I can't even begin to formulate the correct words in order to describe this place. Perhaps words like remarkable, extraordinary, and exceptional partially fit, but honestly, you just need to experience it for yourself, When I say that the day I discovered this place my life changed, I am not joking. They have delicious coffee, even more delicious food, and the entire atmosphere and aroma of the spot just makes me want to pass out from happiness. This is the perfect place to meet up for brunch, or for a date, or for an early dinner, LITERALLY ANYTHING. I have forced so many of my friends and family to come here that I'm starting to sound like I'm a Grocer's Table Influencer. My favorite thing from the drink menu is hands down the lavender chai. I can bring witnesses to testify that I have, in fact, cried tears of joy upon consumption previously. My favorite foods from Grocer's Table are the margarita flatbread, the avocado toast, hot smoked salmon toast and the crispy chicken sandwich! They're all amazing and make me feel extra good inside. Everything is fairly priced and you could definitely grab a lunch and coffee for under $20! Parking is very easy as it is right across a parking garage. There's four restrooms in the back and they have excellent lighting for mirror selfies. They also have free wifi and the password has something to do with their address (I would ask a staff member). read more

Basic breakfast food packaged in a way that tricks you into believing it's fancier or better than what it actually is. The coffee/drinks area and food order station are separate, and you order at the counter and servers bring the food. The store has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and still manages to fit a display area of dried and refrigerated items right in the middle near the entrance. This causes a constant traffic jam. The menu reads like a fancy farm to table experience but in actuality the food and flavors are pretty basic. The difference in concept is that they sell some artisanal grocery items that do more to take up space than anything else. Take, for example, the crab toast. It's on a glorified slice of whole/honey wheat bread. Not even toasted and drowning in salty hollandaise. The giant plate of yogurt and oats is something you can make at home with store ingredients. Nothing about it tasted particularly special. The prepared salads were heavy and overdressed except for the beet salad. Overall basic food trying hard to give off farm-to-table vibes. read more
