Used to love this place but haven't been for a while and came away disappointed. If you still…read moredecide to go after reading this I warn you to wear layers as even on a hot day it's freezing in there if you sit anywhere near the air conditioning. We had a look at the menu and the waitress came over to take our order. 2 diet cokes with no ice, bbq chicken wings to start, crispy chicken burger with twister fries and 4 onion rings on the side for me and a classic burger 10oz with cheese no tomato, fries and onion rings. We waited a while for our drinks when they came there was ice but the waitress just dumped them and ran off before we could say anything. We just drank them. Our chicken wings came, they were very hot but tasty & crispy. Soft drinks, tea & coffee are refillable. When our meals came my chicken was hot and crispy and fries were tasty. My partner was trying to work out how to eat his burger and he went to cut it in half to make it easier to eat. I spotted something red on his burger bun. I poked my fork in and fished out a very thin slice of tomato. He can't eat tomato due to a medical condition and itches like crazy for days after eating it. He was not happy but the waitresses were the other end of the diner. He asked the grill behind the grill to change it. I think she was just going to change the bun but he asked for s fresh one. She said it wasn't on the ticket but we had asked. I carried on. This was unacceptable to forget two things. We didn't see our original waitress again and another waitress then came over to give the new meal. When he finally tucked in he said it wasn't very nice. So he only had the chicken wings, a couple of bites of a burger and few fries. The second waitress came over to ask how his burger was and he said not nice. She apologised and said she would take it off the bill but before I could say I had an OK Rocks Club card (15% off food) she'd gone. So when she came with the bill she had to redo it to take 15% off. Left very disappointed. Used to love a cheeky burger and a pancake stack and maybe a dollar shake but will think twice before coming here!!

Last visit we had breakfast- we opted to share due to previous visits food not being up to scratch. Had a pot of tea which when asked to refill came back watery - the tea bag was the same as before. It was changed no hassle. Kids food is free when you buy a main which is a bonus. The kids meals were lovely. Can't recall what we had but will add pics

This is a breakfast review:…read more Its a well done out American diner, with suitably attired staff and cooks. I took my seat and ordered my Full English, (no extras). It came with a couple of sausages, (chipolata - so very small), a cored tomato, (nice touch), a hash brown, flat mushroom, toast and bacon that I imagine must have been shaved from the thickness of it. The eggs were solid, so I got them changed to runny ones. Its really weird seeing all the deliveries coming in to the place through the restaurant - I found it weird, anyway? The server was lovely, (Twinkle was on her name badge). I found the soundtrack though very original sounding, also quite annoying. If you go here and are buying into the American theme, I imaging that you would love it. I was there just for the breakfast - it wasn't bad, (called The Full Ed's).

So we got a table. We had a bottomless drink which my friend said we should share one and the waitress was fine with that. I checked that the £6.59 on the ed's diner app could be used and she said they deduct the amount off but I'll still get points from today. She said I could save up all the points to pay for whole bill on future visit. I had chilli hotdog which was good but not hot in temperature but dunno if it was because we were photoing the food ha ha my friend said her burger was hot. They do sell the burger or hotdog solo, on its own or as ed's plate which means u get fries coleslaw and onion rings. We did both so we shared the chips etc. So our bill was about £13! Cheapskates lol

Interestingly they haven't bothered to theme the music accordingly, which is common in American diners that are going for that retro vibe. Other pluses; bottomless coffee, alcohol and cocktails available, a massive menu that ranges from normal (cheeseburger) to ridiculous (peanut butter cheeseburger), and huge portions. The burgers all come with steak fries and a side, which can be coleslaw, salad, or corn on the cob. We had the onion rings as an appetizer, which were just okay. The desserts look a bit pricey but again the portions are huge so you can easily share. I got the waffle burger, which was one of the gimmicky daily specials so it may be that the normal selections are better, but it was a bit tasteless. The bacon (British, not American, but still tasty) was fine but probably needed to be crisped a little to add texture, and the waffles soaked up the syrup so the overall effect ended up a bit dry and the burger patty itself was a little bland. Prices are a bit high (most of the burgers come in around £9.50) but the portions are certainly generous, so if the food quality was a little higher I think I'd add a star. Service was mixed, starting with a strangely negative interaction with one server but followed by our server being very sweet and friendly. However he was also clearly overworked and rushing around like mad.

Once settled inside we asked for the "all you can eat pizza" only to be told it didn't start until 4pm (no mention of this on the billboard). So after careful consideration we both ordered "The Beast" - described as all the meats (burger, chicken, bacon and much more). As we both believed this would be filling, we decided not to pay the extra £3 each to upgrade the burger to include fries and onion and slaw. Instead we ordered a side of fries (£2) to share. After waiting almost an hour for the food to arrive. We were disappointed with the presentation. Daughter's chicken was part cooked. Both meals were cold. The fries were also cold. Daughter then looked closer at her meal and realised there was no bacon. Managed to get the attention of a member of staff. Complained about the food not being cooked properly, pointed out that the description on menu stated "burger, chicken, bacon, cheese, pulled pork, pickles and onion rings" however the meal we were given lacked cheese, pickles and bacon. The member of staff apologised and took both meals away. The same staff member returned shortly after with the SAME meal. Daughter's chicken was STILL raw!!! I was annoyed, upset and disappointed. The raw chicken would have contaminated the rest of the meal. I had fully expected a completely replaced burger. Alas not. As a softer, when the food was returned I was told that chef was sorry and that the meal could be half price! Totally annoyed. I went to the serving counter where I was ignored by 3 staff refusing to give me eye contact. Eventually 1 came over. I explained the situation. Said I was happy to pay for my granddaughter's hot dog, the extra portion of fries and the drinks. However I would NOT pay for the disgusting burgers. The environment was clean. Temperature freezing. Staff totally ignorant. Wouldn't recommend not even to my enemy!
