Everything is top quality; from the glassware to the napkins to the toilets - which were incredible - boudoir style, curtain entry, Thomas Crapper pull chain loo, proper towels (!!!), there was even a luxurious corner seat incase you fancied a sit down somewhere else in the room. We ordered the special; rump, chips and a parmesan & black pepper dressed salad. In the short wait we were offered house-baked baguette and butter. The salads arrived - a lovely mix of leaves with generous shavings of parmesan and a creamy peppery dressing. A trough of fries followed (to share between us) and then smoking skillets carrying perfectly cooked steaks. My parents commented on every single brilliant song in the playlist that accompanied our tasty steak meal. Wearing my favourite Fleetwood Mac tshirt, I sat with a mouth full of juicy rump steak and listened to one of my favourite Fleetwood Mac songs. Heaven.

We only booked a few hours in advance of our reservation but as the owner is Vegan herself they were not fazed in the slightest by our dietary requirements and we were given a number of options for each course when we arrived. Starters: We had the tomato tart and soup. Both were lovely and there was a choice of two Vegan soups which came with bread and dairy free spread. Main Course: We had the Thai vegetable green curry with a dhaal side and the pancake. The curry itself and the side of dhaal were great. Both really flavoursome and tasty. The pancake was fantastic and was served as a burrito with mushrooms, spinach, couscous and other delights inside. I had it with rice but you can have chips or rosemary & lemon potatoes instead. Dessert: Not that we had much room for dessert after the excellent starter and main course! We all had the chocolate cake was absolutely wonderful! Moist with lots of tasty chocolate icing on top. Apparently it's always Vegan too. They gave us the option of either whipped soya cream (which we chose) or sorbet to accompany it. There were also lots of Vegan wines marked clearly on the menu. Nonetheless I had bacon and honey mayo and the other was garlic mayo and Parmesan. These were ok I guess but at the end of the day.. It was a wedge of lettuce. We also ordered sweet potato fries and these were lovely, and also a mashed potato which i loved as it was very like the one you get in Nandos lol. Ordered a lobster tail which was well cooked and also some garlic mushrooms which were nice and fresh and covered in loads of melted garlic butter. On the plate was a kind of deep fried onion log.. This was kind of strange and like the lettuce wedge.. Didn't really add anything to the meal. The cut of meat I had was ok. Quite tough but they do provide you with a steak knife so not too much bother. I asked for it blue which is always a risk in a restaurant as you tend to either get it cold or over cooked. I had high hopes for Miller and Carter but nope. It came cold. Come on you guys. You are a steak restaurant !! You should be able to provide me with a warm steak. I know cooking blue is hard but if I can manage it I am sure you can too. Each steak comes with a blob of garlic butter on. Other halfs was melted all over his steak while mine remained in a solid block kind of indicating to the chef that my steak probably wasn't that warm.. But never mind. I would come back and give it another go, hoping that as this place is still quite new these may just be a few teething issues. Will choose a different steak next time !

The chocolate fudge cake we had for dessert was exquisite. Won't be a frequent visitor as the average main meal price is around £10 which is more than my budget allows for, but I will be back.

Then went on to have a very bland, tasteless meal of steak with so called 'creamy mash' and vegetables that were rock hard. My friend had some sort of chicken with vegetables, which she also didn't enjoy. At the end of the meal, we were offered some sort of voucher for next time, but unfortunately there won't be one of those!
