A group of old friends get together once a month at different restaurants in Fallon & this month we chose The Grid. The positives: food & beer was excellent, dessert superb & the waitstaff gave us separate checks without asking. If I could rate this place a zero I would. Horrible service. Horrible people who work here. I am visiting from out of town and heard really good things about this place. We sat and waited to get our menus for about 15 minutes. We got it from a friend of my dads who works here, because my dad owns a business in the area and talked to him when he walked by. After looking at the menu for another 20 minutes, still no one came over and there were 3 ladies standing behind the hostess area. So my dad went to find someone to help us. The lady he found came over and was kinda snooty taking our order. After taking our order she went over and started talking to the ladies behind the hostess area talking crap so we got up and left. What a refreshing change to Fallon. Just what craft beer lovers and foodies are searching for. Great food at a great price and a wide selection of craft beers from Nevada and surrounding states. It may not be what everyone had been accustomed to, but in my humble opinion, it'll be the place you'll come back to time and again. The new owners are excited to bring new tastes and atmosphere, and are always open to opinions on how to make it even better. They are still in a"soft opening" phase, so I would suggest that you be a little more patient than normal, as they are still working out inventory and ensuring you have a great experience. We stayed in Fallon overnight and the hotel staff recommended The Grid. The place looked busy and had a good vibe when we walked in. The restaurant is self seating with plenty of televisions, and a large bar. My wife and I shared the Ruben sandwich and a Cesar Salad. Food was average tasting. Well gave it a try again. Wifes burger was supposed to medium but was severely overcooked. The special of the day is a cajun prime rib sandwich. The first sign of trouble was that when I asked that it be cooked medium the waiter said the it was already cook. I should have went with gut feeling but the cajun part luted me. Well it came out extremely overcooked and dry as all get out, and had NO cajun seasoning at all. We have been going to the Grid for years when they were Sand Winds. They have always been really good. We went on Saturday 05/7/2022 and they were very slow. We showed up at 4:10 and only one other table with customers. My husband tried to order a steak they told him they don't serve dinner till 4:30 so we waited to order. At 4:30 we were ready to order they kept passing us up and helping new customers that came in. We finally got up and asked the waitress at 4:45 if she could take our order. In town visiting from San Diego and I am so glad we ignored the negative Yelp reviews. Everything was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and our server, Stephanie, gave impeccable service. Ordered the Signature Beef Sliders, recommended on their website. Not impressed. Sliders were just a hamburger patty sliced into quarters and placed on smaller buns. Is this a joke?? I visited The Grid Market and Brewery just after they opened and was amazed for the facility to be so well equipped. The beer is ice cold and they have many selections. I am a person who enjoys sushi, so the food place in there is outstanding. A Hawaiian bowl of Pokemon hits the spot. Great job to this new business venture in Fallon. We tried the Grid last Friday. Horrible service by Wendy. Rude, not friendly ,argumentative and we saw her eating out of the salad bar with bare hands. Asked to talk to a manager or owner they were not in so left a msg with another server to call us. We were not contacted so left msg again on Tuesday . Finally got a call from Paul today. Yes he listened to complaints and did agree things were not handled properly. BUT he just said that he hopes we try them again in the future. Usually if you have a legitimate complaint they offer to give you a gift card. Does he think I'm going to spend $$$ again in the hopes it is better!! First time shame on you second time shame on me. A groupof my coworker's and I frequently visit Fallon for work. My coworker asked the bartender her name to be polite and not call her "hey you". She replied "you don't need worry about it". I thought she was joking but the she walked away. Wow. Shortly after she ask me of I was ready to close out. I replied "you don't need worry about it. She then said " I don't have to tell you my name. I said " I never ask you" I still don't know her name .If we go in and no name is on shift we will simply leave as we just did.
