Very local place located in a newer strip mall. Lisa, our bartender/server was very nice and provided great service. My wife and I had a couple of drinks and ordered a dozen wings. She had them sauced with "Temptress" sauce which had a kick just above buffalo style. I had mine in "Garlic Parmesan" which was more of a dry style rub. Both flavors were quite good. They currently have 5 TV screens providing different sports viewing options. Full bar, non-smoking and good eats. I definitely recommend this place.

It's OK. Nice place, decent food, friendly service and . . . . there are not a whole lot of other options in Yerington. I had been to this restaurants many times before when it was Scobie's, so I was happy to see that a new restaurant had opened in it's place. It has not changed a whole lot from before except there are some additional TV's and a LOT of sports posters and paraphernalia on the walls to really let you know this is now a sports bar. So for atmosphere - I give it 3 stars. The sports bar thing is not a big plus for me. It was mostly a late lunch group while I was there and the TV over the bar was not intrusive. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The lone waitress brought me my menu, took my drink order, and brought me my drink right away. And then I waited. And waited. She did eventually come back, took my order and I was served within a reasonable time. She did apologize for the wait. She was friendly and my food was hot from the kitchen. 3.5 stars. I imagine the service is usually better. The food was actually pretty good. I had the grilled Pepper-jack Pastrami sandwich with an order of fries. The sandwich was grilled with a nice balance of meat and cheese on parmesan sourdough. It was golden brown and the bread had just a bit of buttery, cheesy crunch. There were pepperonis on the sandwich which was an extra spicy addition to the sandwich. The fries were real potatoes and were crispy and hot. The food was a solid 4 stars. At $8.95 I thought it was a little pricy, but not bad as the Pastrami tasted like the real thing and not processed. Would I drive out of my way to eat here? Probably not. But I think it is a solid choice if you happen to be in the area.

"OK, what's that tap right there?" "Uh.....(reads tap)....says it's a wheat ale." Sounds good. I'll have a pint o' that, please. I had heard that this place had good pizza and I was looking forward to a personal/small/similar. Looking at the menu, I see there's only one size. "What size is your pizza?" "We just have the one size." "What size is that?" "Uh...I dunno. It's....its a large." "Okay, how big? This big? THIS big?" Shrugs. I ordered some wings. Bartender starts practicing cornhole. My beer runs out. I wait five full minutes, then walk over and ask if I might have another beer. The guy throws one more beanbag and then walks back behind the bar. I ask what my other beer choices are and after he names five kinds and stops talking, I figure that's all. I order. The wings came and they were okay. The extra hot sauce had zero heat, but whatever. Two li'l pieces of celery and one carrot; some canned BC dressing. The barkeep never did come and make sure everything was OK with the order. He spent the remainder of the time looking at his device. I paid my bill and did not leave a tip; no regerts.

There is a sign on the front door that says, "21 and older." Well, I meet that requirement. But, I didn't get in the door for more than 30sec, when a young man that works at the bar, said that I needed ID. I asked him, "Do I look like I am under 21?" He said it didn't matter, that the sign out front says 21 and older, and I need ID to prove it. So I went back to the parking lot to get the ID from my car, and I showed him my ID. I also suggested, in summary, that he might be less curt about compliance. He interrupted me and said that I argued with him when he demanded ID. I tried to remind him that I only asked a question when he demanded ID. It was impossible to have a conversation with him, as it seems like he didn't want to listen, but just bark orders. I made a bee-line to the men's room. As I exited the men's room, and before I could order anything, he tossed me out of the building. Luckily, I took my business elsewhere.

They check in on tables every 10-15 minutes without fail, always keeping an eye out to see if you need anything. I also love how proactive they are outside the lounge--posting on Instagram about their shifts and what's happening in the Cigar Lounge. It's smart marketing that lets regulars know when to come in for top-notch service, and it clearly builds a loyal following. When they're working, the whole vibe is elevated, and it makes me want to keep coming back specifically for them. Hazel and Kendra are true assets to Twin Peaks Reno--keep up the amazing work! However, service has been a challenge during each visit. On our most recent visit, it took about 20 minutes to be seated with a party of four, including a child, even though there appeared to be open tables. After sitting down, it took several minutes before we were greeted. Our server brought waters and later took drink orders, but there wasn't much communication about timing or whether they were short staffed. Once we placed our order, we waited close to an hour for our food. We completely understand that restaurants can get busy and staffing can be tight -- we just would have appreciated a quick update along the way. A little communication goes a long way and helps set expectations. When our food arrived, part of the order was incorrect (we had requested a salad and soup substitution but only received fries). The server corrected it, and the food itself was good. It did come out at different times, and we noticed another table seated after us received their food much sooner, which was a bit confusing. We truly want to support Roy's and hope this feedback is helpful. With stronger communication and smoother service flow, it could be a great experience.

Inside this refurbished old grammar school is an amazing little cafe operated by YTA. I used to come to the cafe when I lived in Yerington and it was under different management. I am so happy to see that the Cafe has been revived under the capable management of Roy Enochson, the Executive Director of YTA. A friend and I decided to have lunch here recently. The Cafe is in the lobby area of the Theater and serves as a place to eat, an art gallery and a boutique for all sorts of arts and crafts most of which are locally made. The space is a bit like being in a favorite Auntie's parlor with little tables, comfy chairs and a visual cornucopia of treasures. My friend ordered the lunch special - butternut squash ravioli with a side salad. I ordered the Cafe Signature Salad - a lovely fresh blend of baby greens, apples, cheese, cranberries, candied walnuts all lightly dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette. I also had a blood orange Italian Soda. The food was all tasty and fresh. Service was vey friendly, but the food was slow coming out. It was worth the wait. Our total bill for the two of us was under $20. While the portions were not huge, the meal was satisfying and the quality was excellent. This is a definite place to stop if you are in the area. It is a fabulous alternative to the fast food and casino coffee shops that are in the area.
