A staple of my childhood so maybe I am biased. My college and high school friends and I gather here for lunch whenever we are all in the area. I don't think I even have a favorite sandwich. The ones I've had are all good and you can get them just about any way you like. What's not to like about a sandwich?? The place is family owned by a wonderful family, and the staff are super speedy but manage to crack a few jokes or ask how you and your family are doing. Yeah, the line gets long, but that's just more evidence that it's good. So don't go at rush hour if you want to be in and out. Otherwise, sit down, kick back and enjoy it. read more

Fantastic! The sandwich's here are massive and the prices are unbeatable. Tony is an awesome guy and is happy to make you whatever you want. I usually go to the Bethlehem location on Willow Park Road. The food is fresh and obviously delicious but there's no consistency. Sometimes it'll take the 20 minutes to make 2 sandwiches that could've been better made at subway. Other times it's quick and awesome. There's a man that works at the Bethlehem location with glasses and he is the only one I like to make my food. Some other time this girl burnt my toast so bad the whole place smelled and she actually tried to make it into my sandwich. I had to ask her to please make another piece and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. read more

I was trying to find a lunch spot when I stumbled upon this place with a line nearing the door. I got the Take A Shot & pasta figoli soup- clearly I had no idea how large the portions would be! I have always found this place to be just Ok. The food isn't bad, but certainly isn't phenomenal either. Many friends of mine crave food from The Goose, but personally it's just OK for me. A plus is that the food it's pretty cheap relative to other places. read more

My experience with The Goose goes back to my Lehigh days when they were located up the street. Great sandwiches and friendly employees. The meats are cut as you order your sandwich, fresh rolls and great prices. I have made detours coming back home from travels to pick up hoagies from here. Absolutely love the place. read more

Amazing sandwiches. You can get essentially any meat/cheese/dressing combo you want here. In fact, they probably already have a name for the type of sandwich you want! There is a massive array of sandwiches and you can even create your own (if it's not already made). If you can't choose, they even have a "wheel-of-fortune" type wheel that chooses a sandwich for you. Regardless of what you get, it is sure to be a tasty and exotic one. I went here with a friend that goes to Lehigh University. Luckily, he basically knew all the best sandwiches. I shared the "shotsadon" with him and BOY was it delicious. And it was massive. It would have been VERY difficult to finish it on my own. I don't even remember what was in it. All I remember was that every bite was essentially a different flavor--which was definitely a good thing. It was $7 and I split it with a friend, so I payed $3.50 for a delicious sandwich that filled me up! It's a family run store and they are all so friendly. The man who takes your order is extremely knowledgeable in his sandwiches--call out the name of one and he'll know what it is and will get right away to making it. The Subs are 5 star caliber. But the people (Tony) and service is 10 star. This is a great place to have a meal. I finished my delicious Sub over 20 mins ago and I am still sitting here watching the interaction of the staff and customers. This is such a rare sight to see nowadays. If you have never eaten at The Goose on 4th Street (don't get confused with the other Goose) you haven't had the best! Their sandwiches are LOADED!! Most of them are 2 meals for me! The taste is great and the people who work there are so friendly. The owners Tony and Deb are the best! Meet Tony once and he will know your name next time you come in! They have a big menu with lots of choices and they even have a secret menu with fantastic flavors!! My favorite is the J-wok with pedestrians (from the secret menu) it is heated turkey, Roast Beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, Russian dressing and bacon (bacon is the pedestrian if you don't ask for pedestrian it doesn't come with bacon) on a hoagie roll. This sandwich is huge! It is 2-3 lunches for me, but it is so good I am tempted, and have, eaten the whole thing. Students from the local college talk about how much they missed Goosey while they were on summer break. Go early or late for lunch or you will be in the line across the restaurant, out the door and around the corner but it will be worth the wait! read more
