In my quest for a great breakfast spot I found this one to be a'ight. Food was good, not great. I had a steak and cheese omelette which I had to add a little s&p to give it flavor, and when that didn't work I resorted to the ketchup. Bacon was perfection to my taste, slightly crispy slightly chewy. Hashbrowns were crispy, that was good. My friend said her pancake was good but for $9 I thought she got had. We arrived and put our name on the list. Not being locals, we didn't know that you had to write your own name and there are two entrances into the restaurant so we waited for awhile before this was explained to us. We waited about 15 minutes and then a group of 4 were seated before us that had arrived after us. I think our name had been missed. Five minutes later a waitress came out and asked if our group was there. We were seated shortly thereafter. The waitress was friendly, we ordered, and our food arrived promptly. I ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs and a side of bacon. My bacon never arrived. I waited for the waitress to come back. When she finally did, I was done with my meal. The biscuits and gravy were very good. I loved how the biscuit was a bit crisp underneath the gravy. When the bill arrived, I asked if the bacon was on the check and the waitress had to go back and remove it, which she did. She was pleasant and chatty and the food was good. Stopped here on my way home from a small camping trip. It was pretty busy, but we were seated within 10 minutes. The food was very inexpensive. We went here for the first time ever today since the reviews were all very good and we were looking for a good breakfast place. Well we were very satisfied with everything! We got in and all tables were filled there was 3 families ahead of us and they told us it would be about 15 mins. They promptly sat us within 5 minutes and brought us coffee. I wanted something different for breakfast meeting with a friend. I was tired of the chain place we'd been to with below average breakfast. We chose the right place! It is located off the main drag which is nice. The Good Table has a hometown feel to it. The service was prompt and personal. They have a great breakfast menu! I chose Crabby Benedict which is Eggs Benedict with a crab cake subbing for the Canadian bacon. LOVED IT! The crab cake was not overpowering at all, the eggs were nicely poached and runny and the Hollandaise was creamy and wonderful. It comes with a choice of hash browns or home fries, I opted for the latter. It was a nice portion of home made home fries. We will DEFINITELY be back! It was busy but the staff was attentive and friendly. The food wasn't mind-blowing or anything, but I had no complaints. TGT is just a nice place to sample some local flavor if you're out and about in Westfield before 2 pm - because that's when they close! Me and my friends from school visit here very frequently and I have to say that the servers there do an incredible job at keeping the customers happy. One of the servers Dean especially. He is so nice and charismatic and does a great job at checking with the tables. He does a great job at meeting everyone's needs and communicating with people. Food is always excellent too! Very disappointed in a breakfast ordered. Third time having bad food. This last time was disheartening because I ordered a simple meal. 2 eggs over easy. They were delivered to me over hard. I alerted the waitress. She agreed and returned them to the kitchen. When the new eggs were done she brought them out quickly. Unfortunately, the rest of the food on my plate was cold. Toast and shredded potatoes which was another mistake. I ordered the chunky potatoes but said I would eat them. The newly cooked eggs looked fine until I cut into them. They were both undercooked to the point of runny egg whites. I could have made merangue with them. I addressed it with the waitress who agreed they were not cooked but she said they were like that because the other plate was overcooked. I repeated it was an over easy egg. Very simple to cook. She came back with the check and charged me for the plate. I disagreed. Owner comes over and argues that I ate one egg. I said ok but the whole meal was no good. Cold toast, cold shredded potatoes that I did not order and bad eggs. She said she would have the waitress take off half the breakfast. Still not acceptable. I paid the bill and left.
