Ice cream sandwiches for our wedding dessert?! Yes please! We truly LOVED having ice cream sandwiches from The Good Batch for our special day. We ordered a mix of Chocolate Chunk, Caramel Crispy, Confetti Cake, and Vanilla Hazelnut. Once our desserts showed up on the dance floor, it was snack, dance, and "look so good yeah, look so sweet (hey), lookin' good enough to eat!" Thank you The Good Batch for making our delicious wedding day desserts! read more

The Good Batch - Bakeries Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

They have one dollar cookies on weekdays and they were very yummy. There are usually several options and then I just order one of each to try. Their peanut butter cookie option is usually delicious! The cookies can be quite small though. They don't have decaf iced coffee but have a delicious fruit tea option. It is one of the only coffee shops on that block so a good place to stop in for a quick breakfast or snack. They don't have too much seating so it seems more like a place to pick up coffee or food and take it to go. There is never usually a wait which is great. I have not tried their other food options but most of it looks great so can't wait to come back hungry one day. The decor inside is also really cute and open. read more

I stumbled upon the good batch while visiting my friend in Brooklyn yesterday. The pastries looked like your average baked good you could get at a local grocery store but the flavors were rich and surprising. I had the chocolate cookie which was crispy on the edges but chewy in the middle really delicious. Then as recommended by the kind staff I tried the brown butter miso and it did not disappoint. I love baked goods and tend to bake a-lot especially around the holidays which doesn't mean I know anything but I did enjoy my cookies :) read more

Cute little bakery in Brooklyn. The cupcakes tasted delicious and customer service was great. We tried three different types of cupcakes. Coffee was okay. It did the job. Metered parking in front. I would go back and try something different. read more

Their Ice Cream sandwiches are really great. Visit them in the summertime, it's worth it

I just love this cute cafe/bakery! The food is so fresh and delicious with its open window ambience and house plants decor. It's quite the magical place to spend your time hanging with friends, coffee dates, or even doing home work if need be. I always order their olive oil cake, it's my favorite item! Didn't have any ice cream sandwiches, but had a delicious oatmeal Nutella cookie, and an iced latte. Both were amazing. The space is cute. They have tables set up out front. And the staff is super friendly. They have a freezer here for ice cream, but their dedicated ice cream shop is literally across the street as well. read more

Are you in the mood for a cookie thats' simultaneously soft, chewy, moist, crispy, and tasty? If so then "The Good Batch" has you covered. The proof is in their name. The rest is self explanatory. These $4 cookies are like mana from the sugar gods. I've visited this Clinton Hill restaurant several times in the past year and have yet to eat a bad batch of cookie. This time, I ordered the Peanut Butter Everything Cookie, which was amazingly delicious. It was so good that I was sad when I finished it. The cookies are decent sized, approximately 4-5 inches in length and .5 inches in width. Staff practices social distancing and only allows one customer in at a time but are very efficient at keeping the line moving in a relatively fast fashion. Although there was a line, I was able to get in and out very quickly. read more

I have seen so many great reviews about The Good Batch on Yelp....I have also seen fantastic pictures of delicious looking desserts that others have posted on Yelp from this place so I decided that I was going today. Excitement came over me as I left work and got on the bus to go to The Good Batch and try one of their ice cream sandwiches. As I walked inside of The Good Batch, I was in awe of the wonderful selections of cookies, ice cream sandwiches etc. After much deliberating (because it takes me way too long to decide when there are so many glorious options), I finally decided to order the $5 Mini Caramel Brownie Crunch Ice Cream Sandwich. The Caramel Brownie Crunch Ice Cream Sandwich was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The Brownie cookie on the outside perfectly complimented the vanilla ice cream on the inside.... I took my time enjoying this delicious dessert and was almost tempted to purchase another one! I thanked the polite, gracious women behind the cash register that provided me with excellent service. I will be back soon to try the Crispy Ice Cream Sandwich (with rice crispies and vanilla ice cream) as well as the other baked items! read more

I was alittle bit nervous about the recent so-so reviews about GB but it was snowing in the morning and many places didn't appear to be open. I had my heart set on Gordon Savory but it didn't look like it was open either, even though it was passed 8:00am. GB was open for business on this mini-blizzard day as it brightened the block with its bright lights peering through the glass and baristas working ferociously behind the counter. I doubled-parked my hooptie and went inside. The bakery selection looked pretty hypnotizing. Everything looks freshly baked. I experimented with a cranberry corn muffin which was perfectly delectable; cranberry bits was evenly distributed in the muffin with a hint of corn sweetness to tease your taste buds. My second visit here resulted in me getting a chocolate chip cookie for my kid and a cherry almond muffin to start my day. Even though, the cookie was a bit hard because my son told me he didn't want his teeth to break from the cookie (huge grin with a sigh due to the money spent), he enjoyed the muffin and said to me, "Mommy, this muffin is awesome". read more

Great coffee, friendly staff, amazing baked goods. I do wish they had a more powerful A/C in the summer.

The food is good but I rarely received satisfactory customer service from this place. However today was the last straw. I was the last person in line. The customer ahead of me had her dog with her. After serving that customer, the server proceeded to pet and play with the customer's dog. I mean all-in, bent down to the dog's level both hands all up in the dog's fur. Without washing their hands, the server proceeded to take and make my order (a latte). After I noticed the server had no intention of washing their hands, I stopped them midway and cancelled. The milk, chai mixture etc were already contaminated, unfortunately for the next person to patronize that store. Not only was this service highly disrespectful, with absolutely no regard for any allergies I might have, it was downright disgusting. Especially during this time of heightened sanitization methods. read more

Lovely mood. Perfect for those of us who like quiet coffee shops to tuck away in. Currently at this place while I wait in between dog walks. The cookies are delicious and not cloyingly sweet. Great selection of pastries and cookies. Will have to wait until it's warmer for an ice cream sandwich. Very friendly but not overly friendly, which sounds weird... But when you come to a place like this you'll know what I mean. "This place is just right," said Goldilocks. read more

LOVE! I've only been to The Good Batch twice, yet both times I've noticed that I've contemplated moving my bed and all my home items in and never leaving. A small but spacious little shop, with clean and bright decor. They have 4 marble tables (who doesn't love a clean marbled table for those perfect flat-lays am I right?? ) & a lot of bench space, plus two benches for outdoor seating. Their menu changes every so often, with the season, however some of their classic items stay. If you're looking for that perfect treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, please, look no further. I find that nothing here is overly sweet, which is just the way I like it, everything has some type of ingredient that counterbalances the sweetness whether it be salt or tart berries or olive oil, etc. They also have Vegan and Gluten Free options, which is always helpful. I'm not either but no reason you can't have it anyhow. I've eaten a strawberry olive oil cake a few months back along with their ice cream sammies, which were THE BEST I've ever had. Yes, thats right, you are missing out if you don't get em. I ordered the crispy ice cream sandwich and the goodwich, both unique and incredible. I also tried some type of magic bar last time but I forgot the name, also scrumptious. Today I picked up their pumpkin bread which was vegan, and it was so darn good. I picked up cinnamon and maybe even a hint of molasses, but the flavor was just perfect and fluffy yet a little dense, and it was just so good. The prices aren't terrible, but if it helps, it's totally worth your $$$! Just go, leave your house right now and go, RUN! Get your treats! read more

Found this coffee shop just walking in the neighborhood. It was super cute and cozy. I ordered a Hot Chocolate and asked for whip cream but the barista (Daniel) informed me they didn't have any. Then he said something along the lines of, 'trust me the hot chocolate doesn't need whip cream'. I smirked and shortly after received my hot chocolate. Just after the first couple sips I realized he was totally right. The hot chocolate was delicious just as is. read more

A decent neighborhood bakery with okay coffee and good pastries but could definitely work on their price point. The baristas are super welcoming and do their best to ensure great service. The owners however leave a lot to be desired. I was in the store on the day renaming of St. James Pl to Christopher Wallace way in ode to Biggie smalls that grew up in the area and caught wind of some Lowkey racist commentary from the male owner to one of the staff working that day. It didn't sit well with me as numerous black and brown patrons were in and out of the store that day so I left. Over priced pastries, decent coffee with a hint of slight racism. Think about that when buying from The Good Batch. read more

I really enjoy this local spot and their new creamery is awesome! They have ice cream sandwiches that can be found in the grocery stores around the area and they have both the creamery and the cafe across the street from each other. My first visit here I came around opening when they offered free ice cream and it was to die for. Perfect blend of creamy chocolate brownie and caramel. I am drooling just thinking about it later. My second visit I snagged a ice cream sandwich that was good but I didn't love it as much. I had hoped the caramel would be a gooey kind but it was hard and more bitter almost tasting like coffee. I am not a coffee drinker so it wasn't the type of dessert I was hoping for. The ice cream was good however I just think I picked the wrong flavor for my taste. I definitely will be stopping by again when the creamery opens next season. read more

I didn't try any baked goods only their ice cream sandwich and I wish I liked it since this bakery is really close to my home. I found the cookie of the sandwich to be way too sweet which made it taste generic, the ice cream, and the Nutella spread was good but the overall package did not deliver. The place was decorated nicely. I may try one of their baked goods and a coffee to determine whether I would completely write it off and if I do I will update my review. read more

The Good Batch - Vanilla Nutella (front), Chocolate Almond (Back) - Bakeries Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

For this review, I'll just get to the point: - it's at Smorgasburg (we went to the stand in Williamsburg) - it's $6 (yes, it's overpriced) - it's delicious ( we got the goodwich ) - try the goodwich ( so so good) - the goodwich is made with two chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, a little bit of sea salt, creamy vanilla ice cream (it's not hard, but just at that right temperature where your teeth sink into the ice cream) with a drizzle of hard shell fudge. - even on a chilly day in April, it wasn't too cold and a perfect ending to our smorgasburg meal/day - with no prep or cook time, not much of a line, if any, though I would imagine they sell out more quickly in the warmer months - trust me, you'll enjoy every bite :-) read more

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! I came here after work around 6pm specifically to try out their ice cream sandwiches. I don't remember all the options that were available then, but there were probably 5-6 flavors to choose from. I ended up going with the mini vanilla nutella ice cream sandwich. Everything about this was PERFECT. The cookie is soft enough to break off easily, the ice cream has the perfect texture where you can get a clean bite without it melting out the sides. I will definitely come back to try the other flavors. I also picked up a chocolate fudge with sea salt? cookie. It was amazing as well. I actually forgot that I bought it (I put it in my bag for later), and didn't realize until two days later, but the cookie was still buttery soft and full of flavor. It wasn't too sweet either, which I really appreciate. read more

Great coffee and great people who work here, however the management should be ashamed of themselves. The air conditioning has been broken over a month. The temperature inside exceeds 100 degrees and they have the baristas working in deplorable conditions. You cannot tell me that this system couldn't be fixed in a month. As a customer on a hot summer day, one wants to go into a coffee shop for a respite from the heat, not to get even hotter. To the owners of The Good Batch--this is disgusting. One week is one thing, but this has gone on over a month and your only solution is a fan? This is why everyone goes up the road to Otway. read more

I've had this spot bookmarked before I moved to Brooklyn. My sweet tooth is raging on and insatiable, signaling me that my time of the month is about to come, so we stopped by here after picking up cold meds. $5 card minimum, so got one of each $1 cookie. ORDER - Cranberry white chocolate: not too rich or oily. Most of the sweetness comes through with the cranberry. My favorite. - Peanut butter crunch: vegan. Crunch was good with pieces of peanuts, but kinda disappointed there wasn't much PB flavor. - Spicy chocolate: vegan. Ha a hint of heat, but nothing that burns your tongue. I think it's more of a cocoa flavor bc not much sugar or sweetness comes through. - Brown butter cookie: bf loved this the most. Definitely had an added depth of flavor from the browned butter than your average shortbread cookie. - Ginger molasses: only a hint of spiciness. I didn't get any light ginger taste, which made me sad, but very fluffy cookie overall. Overall, it's a cozy bakery that offers coffee & baked pastries in all shapes and form. Can't wait for summer to come along to try out their ice cream sandwhiches. Take advantage of their afterschool promotion for $1 cookies from 2-5pm. read more

Yaaaaas! I used to work at Umami Burger, and we would get our ice cream sandwiches from the Good Batch. They're all pretty solid, but my favorite was the Crispy (caramelly rice Krispy treats with vanilla ice cream). I stopped working there and they stopped selling them after a while, so I was afraid I wouldn't be able to have them again. I WAS WRONG. We had dinner nearby, and decided to come here for dessert. I automatically went for the Crispy - didn't even look at any other baked good here. I can't speak to their cookies or other things, but definitely go for their ice cream sandwiches! It's small inside and I hate that mini hill by their door, but it's cute inside. They've got a lot of window space, and a pretty good amount of seating considering the size of this place. read more

2.5 stars. This place is just ok. They only had two types of icecream sandwiches available at 6:30p, and not their famous brownie cookie brittle peanut butter ganache. Sad. Good Witch icecream sandwich: nothing special. The vanilla icecream was mediocre at best, and the oat cookies were a little old. Peanut butter ganache mountain: the cookie was kinda tough and tasted like plain bread, and the ganache was overly sweet. Overall, I wasn't wowed, and don't really have much of a reason to go back. read more

I visited The Good Batch at their stand in Smorgasburg, DUMBO. I've walked by them many times, but they always seem to run out of the very thing I want to eat that particular day (which means they run out of ice cream sandwiches by a certain time so try to get there early). Ordered myself a Goodwich for $6 and it was very delicious. The cookies themselves are quite good (very sugary) and the ice cream sandwiched in-between is okay. Technically, the oat in the Goodwich makes it healthy. That's my belief and I'm sticking with it. Don't try to change my mind. The thing is HUGE. We could've easily split that thing 4-ways and been satisfied. Worth the visit if you're in the area and passing them, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try their other things. read more

This is my favorite neighborhood coffee shop! You couldn't ask for nicer baristas and better service. But, it has become unbearably hot in there since the AC is broken. I bought the Nutella/Vanilla ice cream sandwich from a mini food festival, by my job today. The sandwich was good, until I took a bite of the peanuts in the center of the ice cream. I was waiting on my mom at the nail place across the street and decided to get a treat. This place has a cute little set up. I saw there was an afternoon special on cookies for $1. So I decided to go take a look. I chose a vegan oatmeal coconut cookie. The cookie was a decent size (diameter) and pretty thick in width. The cookie was firm but soft. It didnt crumble. I do think it was a bit sweet but after all it is a cookie. They also provide you with water. There were many other dessert options. I do agree with another reader. The person at the counter didnt make this place feel homely or inviting. She seemed almost annoyed that I just bought a cookie, which is a lot considering i dont like dessert foods. I made The Good Batch my satellite office while spending 10 days in New York. I was on vacation but needed to get some work done and TGB had coffee, wifi, and snacks so it was the obvious choice for a space to set up shop. The service was really good and the staff very friendly and helpful with my indecisiveness when it came to bakery options. I ended up getting a piece of passion fruit cake they had on display and wasn't disappointed. The cake was very moist and fresh with just the right amount of passion fruit filling to add a sweet, but not overwhelming, kick. They make really good coffee (my go to is an iced americano) I just wish they had slightly larger sizes available. I would go through two-three drinks if I stayed there for a couple hours. They don't have a restroom available up front but I did see them allow someone to go use the one in the back when they requested (which was nice to see considering the amount of coffee folks were consuming). Although there is limited seating inside, they do have free wifi available so if you can find a spot its a nice place to get some work done. They also have a large selection of mini ice cream sandwiches which were awesome. Great place to check out if you're in the area. read more

I really wanted to like this place. In this neighborhood, I feel as though if you're going to open up a business, especially something as whimsical as this little bakery/cafe, you've really got to hit your marks. The Good Batch hit like......zero marks. The customer service wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special. The spot itself was adorable..... so that leaves one thing to have an issue with.... the baked goods themselves. The cupcake was so dry it was like the consistency of cornbread, and the frosting was hard. I also got a pistachio profiterole... the whole thing tasted like when you get a bad pistachio... kinda bitter and rotten. I'm not sure if they use pistachio paste or whole pistachios... either way it was pretty much inedible. Lastly I got a macaroon sandwich thing. It wasn't that good but was definitely the best out of the three. The coconut part was good, the chocolate center tasted like those artificial candy melts. I think it's important to share this review, as this place is pretty pricey. And when you move into a neighborhood and charge a price for baked goods that only a portion of that neighborhood can afford, it better be dang good. And this just wasn't. read more
