Things change. People change. Tables turn. Bridges burn. Ya live & ya learned:…read more I learned this is my fav Q spot in DFW area. I love Q, i grew up cooking on charcoal Websters, & old wood smokers filled with oak food off the coast & in the riparian hills of the Pacific. Chicken, tri tip, etc.. But THIS. IMO. PECAN LODGE IS THEE DEFINITION OF TEXAS Q. All the meat was not too rich, hardy, moist, fall apart, smoke rings & surprisingly i was astounded by the pork rib quality the most. Surprisingly not as salty as i thought especially since ima salty person. Lol Enjoy!

Ordered Turkey, Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage and Mac and Cheese on the 2 meat combo plate. First off, that was $27 which I thought was rather high but with the hype I thought it might be worth it. The turkey was tender and juicy and rather flavorful, except for the end piece of turkey breast (I assume) with the skin side which was extremely tough. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was okay, but it didn't really retain either the jalapeño, cheddar, or the smoky taste which I thought was disappointing. The Mac and Cheese had bacon bits on it which were nice and crispy but the Mac and Cheese wasn't very rich or complex flavor wise, which I found slightly underwhelming. The sauce was super runny and while it had flavor, I never think having to put sauce on stuff to give it flavor is the answer. All that being said, for $27 I wasn't going to leave anything on the plate. The service I thought was rather hands off and I'm surprised nobody came and checked on us although that may be just how things are. The ambiance was cool with old license plates and pictures along with some cool western themed things up on the walls to make it seem warm and homey. All in all, I was left with the feeling that there should've been more and I was kinda disappointed after all the hype I've seen and all the gravitas that the name Pecan Lodge carries with it. I'd say probably a 6.5-7/10 so that lands me at 3 stars because it really didn't feel 4 star worthy.

Ambiance- 9.5/10 Dim atmosphere with trendy vibes. Cool decor and Jenga to play while waiting for your food. If you don't like dark areas, you can sit outside with umbrellas providing shade. Service- 10/10 Our server was extremely helpful and nice. She recommended excellent dishes and even gave us a plate of chicken wings on the house! Value- 8/10 Good value, especially considering the quality of the food. Most sides were 5-10$, while the entrees were 12-16$. Portions were medium. Food Malaysian Roti- (2 pc, 9.5$)- 9.5/10 Was perfectly flaky and crispy. Came with a flavorful curry dipping sauce. Chili Garlic Edamame- (8$)- 7/10 Everything you would expect. However, it could have more of the chili garlic sauce. They do give you a complementary tray of spicy sauces (including chili oil), so this was not a big deal. Korean Twice Fried Wings- (5 for 14$)- 10/10 Wings were large, so one was the perfect appetizer for a single person. Coated in a heavenly gochujang garlic glaze. Nice and saucy while still being very crispy and juicy. Was my favorite dish we ordered. Pad Thai- (16.5$)- 8.5/10 Came with a fried egg, shrimp, and chicken. Had a hint of spice that elevated it from good to great. Curry Laksa Ramen- (16$)- 9/10 Very flavorful curry broth. Noodles were excellent and also came with tofu and a boiled egg. Overall, every aspect of the resturant was top tier. Would 100% recommend if you are near.

The lively tapas-style format is perfect for sharing, with highlights like the memorable fries with amazing dipping sauce. The energetic atmosphere and consistent execution make it a reliable choice for a fun group meal. The sheer variety means some dishes can outshine others, and it's better for a culinary adventure than for an authentic deep dive into any single cuisine. Prices are fair for the experience and sharing style. Verdict: A highly recommended spot for a lively dinner with friends. Ideal for trying many bold flavors in one sitting and enjoying the modern, communal vibe.

Walking in just read how to order, you tell them the sides you want, then move on the the meat, the team is very friendly, there are bottled drinks, but get the soft drinks as you can go back for refills. The side w very versatile, we tried the rice that had good flavor, along with the beans, but the star for us was the creamed corn, this was amazing, the Mac and cheese good creamy. The pork ribs were peppery and good smoke taste, the jalapeño sausage was great, that brisket was special burnt ends and the fatty part of the brisket was delicious. Amazing ambience, and you can get your own To go boxes. All around amazing experience.

Checking Yelp for…read morelocal options,I noticed a place I'd previously bookmarked with Thai in the offerings so,headed that way. Dallas uptown can be frustrating, hectic and discouraging if your not patient. I was, circling the block to find a parking garage plainly marked for the area I was headed to. Your parking is free here with restaurant validation. Walking up to Fung Shui I remembered it from a previous walk in this area when I bookmarked it. Opening the enormous wooden door takes some effort and is indicative of the place you're entering. Well designed, upscale, comfortable. A lot of natural light entering the space gives a feeling of well being and instant relaxation. The menu combins Chinese, Japanese and Thai offerings in the perfect way. The lunch menu has offerings in all 3 and I went for the chefs choice assorted sashimi. Perfect is the only way to describe the fresh, elegantly sliced portions of Sashimi. My lunch partner went Chinese with a shrimp, beef, chicken stir fry. Also perfect. Nice selection of hot teas available and we enjoyed a pot of Chrysanthemum. It was the perfect accompaniment to our lunch. They have a significant and impressive collection of Japanese whiskey at the full bar that I'm anxious to return for a sip. I highly recommend you ... They brought out our food exceptionally fast, which would have been great, but it took the kitchen/waiter 3 attempts to get my meal right. I ordered the Pad See Ew and was sent out every variation of the meal except for what I ordered. I understand that most Thai pasta meals are similar, but they should know their stuff. My correct meal eventually came out and it was delicious. I got a spicy level 3, which was perfect and made every bite enjoyable. I also ordered the vegetable springs rolls... nothing to write home about, but worth the try. I like that it was firm (stuffed) and crunchy.
