We were in on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was nearly full and we got one of the last available tables. We were greeted right away, our drinks and orders taken care of right away. The staff worked together with one person bringing menus and silverware, then taking the drink order and bringing us our drinks, another server took our food order and checked on us throughout the experience. Other servers filled our waters and coffees. You could tell it was a family environment. The food was outstanding, as always. I had sausage gravy and biscuits, my husband had two eggs, potatoes and bacon. We shared a cinnamon roll as an appetizer - and took almost all of the food home. The claim to fame is the cinnamon roll. It's as big as a dinner plate! The fresh-baked bun was warm and soft, the bottom of the bun caramelizes while it bakes and is an amazing crunchy caramel. The icing is melting on top. It's fantastic. The restaurant is medium/small, clean and friendly. We will be back soon!

So let me start by saying I only came to this place for the cinnamon roll and let's just say I was not disappointed. Upon arrival the place is small but cozy, neat and friendly customer service. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, A BLT and the famous cinnamon roll. Then sandwiches were amazing and the cinnamon roll was from scratch, sweet and delicious. I'm definitely coming again and will pricing is good.

I ordered biscuits and gravy and an egg sandwich. The biscuits and gravy were THE BEST I've ever had. The biscuits were SMOTHERED and the gravy was savory and delicious, not salty like others I've had. The sandwich was huge and the egg was cooked perfectly. The girls next to our table ordered a cinnamon bun and it was the size of a dinner plate! Next time for sure!!!

Ordered 2 eggs, grits, sausage, biscuit, and side of pancakes. The eggs were somewhere between overcooked and burnt. The grits were lumpy and dry. The biscuit was dry. The crumbled into 20 pieces when I bit into it. The pancakes appeared to be Bisquick. Based on the other reviews, i can only assume that I came on an off day. T The servers were very nice.

I will say the shopping center it is located in is not the most appealing. But as soon as you walk in it is small but decorated very nice. Our waitress was very nice. I was told about the giant cinnamon roll. My sister and I shared a breakfast wrap and of course shared some of the cinnamon roll and took the rest home to enjoy another time. It was the best cinnamon roll we ever had. Not too sweet, not gooey and the taste was heavenly. My boyfriend agreed when he ate some of the left over we brought home. Will definitely go back again

Worth the trip from anywhere. Everything home made, everything exceptional. What a true gem of a restaurant. Wish you could create a chain!!!!!

At Sunday just past 12 noon this place was still full but only 2 persons waiting in chairs outside to be sat inside (dining room). Menu looks great and has many choices. It is a mature adult female and two teens who were waiting on the tables. A kid approached and I stated I had a question which question I proceeded to ask with her talking over me trying her hardest not to hear my question and her turning her back (on me) as if facing the mature woman for some sort of cue. I then asked (another question) who would be the server. She said herself (would be) or the woman pointing backwards and over her shoulder at the mature one. I indicated I wanted water to drink (due to No Cappuccino on weekends) and asked (3rd question) whether I could order. Seemed like she did not want to take the food order but, because I asked to order, she did take the order. It took a long wait for the food to be prepared. I looked up and over and saw server walking around with cellphone and thought "what a sign of the times" only to see her turn away to say bye to a co-worker or two and exit the establishment without so much as a goodbye to me. I'd say all this was a rocky start and not the hospitality I had hoped for. The other teen- after quite a long wait- brought the food out. Right away I noticed there was no butter for the toast. The mature woman, while unable to see, asked the teen from 1/2 way across room (dining room) whether she had brought out butter and jelly (breakfast condiments) prompting her to go get them for the toast I got with my veggie Add Cheddar Cheese omelet. My breakfast also brought Grits. The Grits were a good consistency but were not particularly good. I discussed the Grits with a dining companion who stated the Grits "were not homemade." We both discussed liking Stoneground Grits which these are not. If not homemade, I wondered whether these are instant type Grits. Omelet was very good on Sunday. Kudos to the omelet chef. In tiny room where everybody ate one diner talked loudly, constantly so everyone would hear his girlfriend was Dakota Johnson. The whole experience was "a trip" and not necessarily great on every point. Delicious omelet though. 4 stars for some effort as the place was busy.

    The best Cinnamon bun ever.

After seeing Gems Eatery on YELP I had to try the Cinnamon roll. I was not disappointed! Fresh out of the oven is no joke, I waited several minutes for it to cooled, cut frosted and boxed. This was going home to be shared with my wife. I had a hard time driving those 6 miles home. So tempted to stop and devour the whole thing. The wait was worth it. . This is the GOAT. Warm Soft Gooey, I'm not sure how, but it survived the first day. Second day with 20 seconds in the microwave it was just as good. I will go back to have breakfast.

This is a whole in the wall breakfast spot. The hours are half day so check before you go that they're open. We went on a Saturday morning and there was a line waiting outside for seating. There are not many tables and the inside is small so I'd imagine the wait can be really long sometimes. Im not sure if there's a call ahead option, but if definitely check before going. The food was delish, but that cinnamon bun has to be the best one I've ever had. My only complaint was that it didn't come out very hot, barely even warm. My husband didn't want to sent it back, so we took it home and reheated it.... I had a hard time sharing haha. Service was nice, everyone was very friendly, and the place was clean.

Absolutely amazing home cooked food ! I had the corned beef hash, which was delicious, and we ate the giant cinnamon roll for the next two days.

I'm sure that location is still great but I was able to live without having to buy donuts for some years. Then came an impromptu trip to Margate since we saw there is a Dandee Donut Factory there. And Costco. Because why not. The time to eat donuts is now. We only bought donuts to go so I can't speak to the dine-in experience or food. The diner counter and tables looked fun to sit at. Their breakfast sandwiches sound amazing and I drooled a little accidentally looking at their diner menu. Did they always make bagels? I'm not that much of a Dandee connoisseur but I feel inspired to go back and try the bagels and their food food. The counter wasn't very busy when we walked in, thanks to two staff workers who were taking orders. Imagine my delight when we asked for a half dozen donuts and the gentleman staffer said we can choose 7. I will now miscount dozens from now on. I asked for the sour cream donuts because the shelf for them was empty (gasp) and he reassured me that they have more in the back to refill. We asked what the crunch part of the blueberry crunch donut was and he said the blueberries themselves have been prepared to be crunchy. We got 2 of those and they were the best bites in the whole box. The donuts were chock full of flavor of the blueberries and the crunch from them was the unexpected texture you want in a donut to cut through the dense dough. No wonder these donuts are one of their best selling ones. We got an apple fritter because it was massive, like a bear claw ate a stack of biscuits. The cinnamon and apple tastes were present but the dough was a little empty to me, so it left a lot of oil taste. Like it reminded you that all these buggers have been deep fried when you don't want to be reminded. The chocolate, double chocolate and cookies and cream donuts all used the same chocolate donut base which was a little dry to me but had nice cocoa flavor. It's strange but I ended up preferring some frosting to the chocolate donuts to have some moisture to the bite. With carb loading season coming up, I'll plan for another excursion to Margate to get a half dozen box of sour cream and blueberry crunch donuts! I mayyyy share.

Also loved the atmosphere once again, it's just a very nice, open place to enjoy a meal and have a drink. We got a bunch of appetizers to start. The house made Ricotta with cracked pepper and olive oil was very delicious. I also loved the crispy zucchini slices, which were topped with peppadew peppers and a chili vinaigrette. Outstanding stuff. The seared ahi tuna was next level. The fish was fresh and beautifully seated and the mix of cucumber, aji amarillo, pineapple, cilantro and wasabi cream was sensational. One of the best dishes they make at Sixty Vines. The absolute best of the bunch was the truffle fries! They were amazing. They are basically crispy layered potatoes, almost like stacks of filo dough, fried and topped with pecorino, chives and lemon truffle cream. They were so good we ordered a second one! Considering how wonderful everything was to this point, we were expecting nothing but great things for the next course. However they completely dropped the ball and basically ruined our meal with lackluster entrees. Our party ordered the steak fries with chimichurri sauce, the double cabrenet burger, and several filet mignons. The amount of time it took to get the food was unreasonable. Once the appetizers were finished we had to wait somewhere around 20 to 25 minutes to get our mains, and the place was not that busy. I assume that the waitress just forgot or was busy with something else. As for the food, the quality of the steaks was not good all around. Everybody who got the filet mignon commented that the texture was chalky and weird. They were also all overcooked. And oddly, they decided to slice the steak before serving it, so it was very dry. Why would you pre slice a steak, all that's going to do is let the juices seep out and make the temperature drop. I honestly don't get it. The steak that came with the steak fries, I think it was a skirt steak, was also not the best cut. It was super fatty and a little chewy. The fries were good though but the meat was terrible. Finally the burger was completely overdone despite the person ordering it medium rare. Overall, not the best ending to a meal that started with such amazing dishes. Really striking contrast. And actually it made me think that I probably will not go back to Sixty Vines anytime soon. For a $350 meal they have to be doing a lot better. Dried out, overcooked steaks and burgers isn't going to cut it.

The lovely hostess guided us to a booth by a window. We were greeted by our equally lovely server Jazmin (sp?). Btw, she rocks! Upon perusing the lunch menu we jumped at the deviled eggs appetizer. These beauties were two beet stained eggs cut in half topped with a spicy yolk filling and garnished with scallions, chicken skin crunch and trout roe. OH MY! My dear friend and dining companion was leaning towards a salad but we put on our thinking caps and decided that the fried chicken entree, which was accompanied by two sides and a biscuit was the best bang for our taste buds. And indeed it was. She ordered two pieces with greens and mac + cheese while I chose three pieces (thinking ahead to lunch tomorrow) plus the mac chz plus sweet potato soufflé (that was Thanksgiving babe!). The chicken was fresh out of the fryer and we had nothing but praise for the sides. To top it off...Nanner Puddin'! Just like mom made but no Jello pudding here. Amazing. Because of that alone, I'd probably think twice before coming back. As for the food -- it was hit or miss. We started with the wings as an appetizer. They were flavorful, but nothing memorable. I'd probably skip them next time and try something else. I ordered the crispy Cobb salad because it sounded amazing on the menu, but it was a letdown. It was mostly lettuce with barely any chicken, and I had to mix the whole salad myself. At a restaurant, I kind of expect a Cobb salad to come already tossed together. Also... no blue cheese available? Come on now lol. My boyfriend got the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out HOT, so you can tell the food is made fresh. The mac & cheese didn't look impressive at first, but it tasted SO good. The sweet potato fries were delicious too. My sister ordered the lobster pasta, and honestly the portion size shocked me in the best way. They were generous with the lobster, which almost never happens, and she loved it. My daughter got the crispy chicken sandwich and said it was the best sandwich she's ever had, so that was definitely a win. Overall, the food itself wasn't bad at all -- my salad was just a flop. If the service had been better, this review probably would've been very different. Not sure if I'd come back, but maybe on a different day with a different server.
