Don't be skeptical because of location. I must admit that was me. My son was turning 15 months and…read moreI wanted a daycare close to the house. After a tour of the facility and connecting with several moms on FB groups about their experience we enrolled my son. He started in 1-2 year old class. Ms. Susan and Leslie are just lovely. Everything you'd want for your baby's first daycare experience. Warm, loving and patient are a few words to describe them. Ms. Keisha is also spectacular (2 year old class). Staff takes lots of pictures and videos throughout the day that they share on the app. Security is top notch. Multiple security checks before entering the building. Cameras all over the place. Diversity is another thing I noticed at this daycare. It's probably the location but soooo many diverse families from different places and walks of life. LOVE THIS! Overall, we had a lovely experience at this daycare.

I cannot say enough good things about Goddard Park Hill. From day one, Heather (the director) has…read morebeen incredible -- she went above and beyond to help us get our youngest daughter a spot when we had a long commute to another daycare across town. This is the third daycare we've tried between our two daughters, and the difference here is night and day. The other centers were fine -- our kids were safe and had their basic needs met -- but we never felt truly welcomed. At Goddard, every teacher & staff member greets us with genuine warmth and a smile, every single day. It's clear they pay close attention to our daughter -- they notice the little things, celebrate her milestones, and care for her as if she were their own. We feel like part of a real community rather than just a drop-off and pick-up. We've been blown away by the level of care, communication, and joy that fills this school every day. I can't imagine a better environment for our daughter to grow and thrive. I'd recommend Goddard (and Heather's amazing team!) to any parent in a heartbeat.

One of the very few schools that not only understands what it takes to create a successful and…read morepositive early childhood education experience, but demonstrates it in everything that they do here. My 4 year old is THRIVING here. He WANTS to go to school, even on days that he doesn't have school. (This was not the case last year at a different preschool.) As an educator, experienced in early childhood and elementary schools, I have been impressed with this school from the moment I first read about their philosophy on their website, to touring the school and seeing it in-person, to now having my child go to this school and seeing the positive impact that it is making on him and nurturing his love for learning and play. Not only have I been an educator for over 12 years, but I also wrote my Master's degree thesis on the importance of play. For those that want to learn more about why play is so important for children, check out the books: Einstein Never Used Flash Cards and Last Child in the Woods. To then have a child 4 years after writing my thesis and 4 years after that, find a school that actually understands, embraces, and models this essential part of childhood is so gratifying. My son especially loves when it is our "helping day" in the classroom and I love it too. I get to be a part of his learning, curiosity, and observe how he interacts with others and the world around him... this is so important to his growth and development in knowing how to best support and guide my child at home. "Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity." ~Kay Redfield Jamison

They do a beautiful job meeting each child where they're at, and tailoring the preschool experience to each student's needs and interests. Every time I am there, I see classrooms full of joy, imagination and creativity. It really is a magical place! Our family has also really enjoyed the co-op model, where parents are an active part of the school community. We have built strong relationships with other families and school staff in a way that just doesn't happen at other schools.

Please don't bring your little ones here... my husband and I enrolled our son Archie when he was 3…read more He went in very excited to learn and socialize. Things quickly went sour when the main teacher started disappearing for months at a time, placing the kids in the care of assistants, art teachers, music teachers, basically anyone with a pulse. This started to wear our child out and dropping him off became a triggering experience. He was never a clingy baby so it was odd to me how distraught he was at drop off. Rather than working with you on behavior issues, they are quick to throw incident reports your way basically blaming your kid for everything. The final straw came when my child was left unattended long enough to destroy the classroom, the staff had the audacity to tell me my 3 year old child needed to take books home to glue pages back together when he was the one left unattended and could have been seriously hurt. The music teacher discussed death of a loved one with my child without permission, they didn't take accountability for either incident which really didn't sit right with me. Not to mention they take more days off than public schools but you're paying an insane amount of money just because it's "Montessori" This place is a glorified daycare, and a crappy traumatizing one at that.

If…read morewe ever have to leave, it will just be because we have to find a place closer to home or work. Here are some useful tidbits for parents who might be looking at this school: Pros: super secure sign in/out process (everyone gets their own code, and there's a hand scanner), friendly office staff, responsive to inquiries, owners are on site every day and are involved and very communicative, teacher to child ratios are maintained really well, the teachers there seem to really love what they do, well-rounded curriculum, regular meetings with parents, regular evaluations (because they're a franchise), our tiny person loves her teachers... she reaches for them when we get to school in the morning, open door policy, you can call or come by any time to see your child, you can hire the teachers as babysitters (and many of them love to do this!), you're treated like family, transitions to new classrooms are done according to the child's development, not necessarily according to birth date. Cons: cost-prohibitive (it's literally like having a second mortgage), people coming in and out of the infant classroom aren't required to wear booties or take their shoes off, parking is scarce so pick up and drop off can be a little tricky sometimes, not a lot of opportunity to meet other parents except during drop off and pick up times.
