I was staying in an Airbnb in Cool and on my drive there my car started making some noise. I was referred to this garage. I can't say enough good things about this business. They were responsive, helpful, and checked everything for me-- as I was worried my car might need immediate attention. My experience with that this garage was that they are honest, friendly, helpful, and they know what they are doing. I was so grateful for their help. I felt like I was in really good hands. I highly recommend them!! When they did not find anything substantially wrong with my car, they did not charge me. When does this ever happen? I've had a few basic repairs with my 23 year old truck over the last couple years. Just basic wear and tear issues due to the age of the vehicle. 12/10 would recommend this place. Randy is great and so are his employees. I had a small issue after my last oil change with them (NOT their fault, it was a manufacturing issue with my oil filter) Randy and his guys had it fixed in 10 minutes. Randy told me if I had any other issues or concerns to come back to him and let him know. I went in today with a concern. They explained everything very well and even showed me what they were talking about. No issues, just a paranoid car owner. Thank you so much for everything! I dealt with Randy. I just had the guys look at my truck for an oil leak. They did not perform any work but they discovered where the leak was coming from provided me with an estimate free of charge. They were very honest about the fact that they probably would not spend the amount of money it would cost in labor to fix the leak if it was their own truck. They did not try and pressure me into anything and even took the time to show me the issue underneath the truck. I will definitely give them a chance to work on my vehicles in the future. read more

I was in jeep on the way to Rubicon. As I was pulling into Cool, I blew a heater hose. It was over 100, had my two daughters with me and I was stuck. As luck would have it, I found the garage and owner Randy. He was plenty busy with business but said he would order the parts as I ate nearby. As I returned, he was already halfway done. Unfortunately, I told him the part I needed, which was wrong. It took him twice as long due to my mistake, but he made them work. This was all done in the 104 degrees. As a inquired about what I owed him, he stated I could pay for parts only. He would not take any more money. And the kicker, he gave a jug is coolant " just in case ." I am not a yelper as the millennials think everyone should kiss their ring every time they walk into a business . Ridiculous . But Randy was amazing. He truly went beyond what anyone would expect. They explained what was wrong with it and what could've caused the problem in a simple way so I could understand, since I'm not a mechanic. An Uber driver recommended this place to me. I'm glad I followed up. I've been searching for a nice mom and pop kind of place and this is it! A place I can trust to treat me right and be fair and honest with me. I was having a lot of trouble with my radiator and I took it in to them and they pressure tested it and ran it up and down Hwy 49 several times to make sure the thing didn't blow off again. I had recently taken it to a dealership and they replaced a hose on top of the radiator. Something was still wrong though. It kept blowing off. When I went home it blew again after I took it up the Marshall road grade to try and test it on the hills. I was bummed because this thing was really stressing me out not knowing what seemed to be the problem. I also had the battery die at my gate which the dealership had mentioned was weak in some free tests they did. They said bring it in again tomorrow and they got on it right away. I had them test the battery for me. He asked if it was bad, did I want the $120 battery or the $220 battery. I said the $120. Turns out they didn't have any cheaper batteries and so they just ordered the $220 for me no extra charge for that or the labor that day. These guys showed me they want my business. The problem with the radiator turned out to be that I needed a new radiator cap. It was hard to imagine a brand new cap from the dealership was not functioning properly right out of the gate, but so it was. These guys were so professional and so nice (all of them) and waiving the extra charge on the battery and labor, I couldn't help but be impressed. I was thrilled my car was fixed and thrilled that I now have a great place where I can bring my car for future fixes and feel I'm being treated fair. I walked out of there with the biggest grin on my face. Thank you "The Garage" in Cool, CA. They will treat you right and their good guys. What a package deal! read more
