I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant inside the Alvin Antique center, but let me preface…read morewith the fact that maybe 15 of us (4 different tables) happened to get there at the same time, and they were understaffed, so it took them a while to make our food, which was only a challenge because we had a young kid. I'd consider ordering food, walking around, then eating, might be a more streamlined experience for those of you that have to keep kids entertained! I ordered the Turkey panini, which was delicious, I loved the amount of pesto, not too much cheese, bread was nice and fluffy, it was really quite a fantastic offering! I saw they have some gluten free options, cookies, bunch of sandwiches (wish I took a photo of the menu) and the staff was grateful for customers and friendly to our questions. I didn't take a photo but they had a bunch of flavored iced teas, I think I had a peach one, it was delicious!

She was awesome. Everyone loved their food. I had the Big Breakfast again and had the same banana pecan pancakes I ordered during my last visit but this time I got jalapeno bacon as my protein and hashbrowns instead of grits. The bacon was SO GOOD and was full of jalapeno flavor but minus the spice. I could've eaten a couple more slices of that goodness. It was crispy, a tad bit burnt but again it was so good. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. I also made sure to get plenty of strawberry butter this time and I slathered it all over my pancake and biscuit. The kiddos had child's plates that included two mini pancakes, eggs and a choice of protein. My cousin had a hash that looked incredible and she said it was very tasty. I'll have to try it out one day if I can ever break myself away from the pancakes. Just like last time the amibiance was warm, cozy, family friendly and Christian themed. This just might be my fave breakfast spot. I absolutely love it.

So nasty. I would never send out food like that if I was a cook. Actually kids cooking and don't care. I normally get ice cream from there but thought I'd try it and dine in. Drive thru and ice cream only now!

Decided to stop here for a quick Fathers day lunch since we were all craving Mexican. The place was…read moresurprisingly empty and we were seated right away. Shortly after we were seated, our server came by to get our drink order and brought chips and salsa and a bean dip. Everything was so good which made for a really strong start for the meal! My sister in law and I both ordered margaritas. She ordered the Organic margarita and I ordered the Mango Habanero one. I thought my margarita was way too sweet but my sister in law loved hers. For my meal I ordered the three street tacos plate with chicken. This came with rice and charro beans on the side. The charro beans were absolutely BOMB. Probably my favorite part of the whole meal. The chicken in the tacos was also really good. Very juicy and flavorful. Everyone at the table really enjoyed the food. I was surprised to see the negative reviews on here. We had a really positive experience with the food, service, everything! Will definitely come back next time I am in town!

The champagne margarita is very fun; hadn't had anything like that before and bubbly goes with everything! Sampled the skinny margarita too though and as far as classic margs go, that one was the best of the two. The shrimp nachos were fabulous; great option instead of the usual ground beef. And the whole atmosphere is great... like a Mexican diner. Love the inside and the outdoor patio is so inviting. We will definitely be back!

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The coffee was their own brand and the flavors were Pecan and Cinnamon, very smooth, and very hot and refilled often. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Oak Cafe in League City on Main Street and ask for Sal and get ready for a great expericence and excellent food and service! Our mashed potatoes were cold as well, which is NOT food safe. The brisket was cut the wrong direction as well which affected the texture.
