the outside of a dairy land
Tim A G.

This is a classic place to get a burger and fries. Everything is made as ordered and fresh. It's one of the few places you can get poutine, or gravy fries, in Texas. While the toys, fries, onion rings and Burgers made be great, their ice cream is even better. No add water mixes here. They have a freezer with Blue Bell ice cream. Yo can get amazing milkshakes, fantastic floats, hot fudge sundaes or even a hand dipped cone. While they don't have any indoor seating or a drive thru, the outside seating has 11 benches under a covered platform with music playing all the time. Be sure to check on this awesome place for lunch or dinner. Just be sure to bring a coat if it's cold outside.

Tortilla Burger

Dairy land is a must when you are in the mood for a tortilla burger. It is unique and must try. Also the Maggie burger is awesome. The wait staff are super friendly and never had a bad experience.

Traces of Texas Facebook page posted a photo of food from this place. We live nearby so I thought I'd give it a try. I didn't even know it was there. My husband went over there to get burgers to go. Yummy! We both had cheeseburgers, and they were excellent. They had great flavor and tasted flame broiled. We tried the curly and crinkle fries, and the onion rings, and loved all 3. For 3 burgers, and fries/onion rings, it was $21. I thought that was reasonable. The portions of fries and onion rings was generous, and the burgers were large. I just wish there had been a way to look at their menu online.

Burnt patty

Alvin staple was a let down for my family tonight on the burger side of things. First time there, and mine and my husbands patties were so burnt we couldn't even eat it. Now I liked the onion rings and when I went to take the burgers back they where nice about it and offered to remake. I declined that option not only because the patty was so burnt that it was hard as a rock but the size and shape was a total turn off three stars for the onion rings and the service was pretty good. Wont be coming back and would have a hard time recommending.

The overall Yelp rating of this place is 3.5 at the time of this review and I think that is pretty spot on. Unfortunately Yelp doesn't allow you to rate with a decimal system so I struggled to rate this a 3 or a 4. That being said I decided to go with the latter because I really enjoyed the regular cheeseburger. I also had a tortilla burger which I will omit from this review. If I rated that I would probably be in the 2 or 3 area. The marriage of two round hard shells with burger ingredients needs a divorce right now. If you would like to see my Youtube video review of this my channel name is Dvdeez Nuts & Popcorn. For some reason they threw in 3 shells which I assume was a mistake. There is no drive thru here nor interior seating but they do have outside seating. I'm not 100% sure if this would be considered fast food but I'm gonna assume it is and rate it as so. In my opinion Whataburger is the gold standard when it comes to fast food burgers and their regular cheeseburger had some similarities to it. The pickle to onion and tomato ratio was pretty spot on to Whataburger. I even thought the patty had a slight tinge of the same seasoning or flavor. It's not as large as a Whataburger but it's a good tasting burger. The fries were crinkle fries and honestly they tasted like fries I've had at a family bar-b-cue a thousand times. They were just ok. Would I drive 15 miles to Alvin to eat here again, no. Would I eat here again if I was in the area, yes. On a side note I heard their milk shakes are awesome so I will try that next time. They get their burger meat from a place called Stanton Meat Market. No processed meat here.

Love the burgers here, it's nice to sit outside and dine watching the traffic go by. Good hot dogs too. Love the 50's feel of the place.

You don't find places like 2 Ways Draught & Kitchen by accident. You have to want to eat and drink…read morewell enough to drive a little farther than is convenient--and that's already the first good sign. This isn't a shiny, soulless concept bar with Edison bulbs and a marketing team. It's a neighborhood joint that understands the fundamentals: cold beer, poured correctly; food that knows what it is; prices that don't insult you; and a staff that actually gives a damn. Let's talk beer first, because they clearly do. The draft list is deep and thoughtful--enough variety to satisfy the hop-chasers, the lager loyalists, and the folks who just want something cold and honest after a long day. And yes, they know how to pour a proper Guinness. Settle time. Correct head. No shortcuts. That alone tells you everything you need to know about their priorities. The menu doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or lecture you about provenance. It's bar food done with intention. The street tacos are the kind you order expecting "good enough" and end up wishing you'd ordered two more. Balanced, flavorful, no unnecessary nonsense. The fried cod special? Exactly what it should be--hot, crisp, flaky inside, and served without ego. Comfort food that respects the eater. Prices are fair. Refreshingly fair. The kind of prices that make you relax, order another round, maybe stay longer than planned. That's not an accident--it's hospitality. This is the kind of place that reminds you why local bars matter. Why it's worth skipping the chain down the road and driving a little further for something real. 2 Ways Draught & Kitchen isn't trying to be famous. It's just trying to be good. And that's why it is. Go thirsty. Go hungry. And don't rush it.

She was awesome. Everyone loved their food. I had the Big Breakfast again and had the same banana pecan pancakes I ordered during my last visit but this time I got jalapeno bacon as my protein and hashbrowns instead of grits. The bacon was SO GOOD and was full of jalapeno flavor but minus the spice. I could've eaten a couple more slices of that goodness. It was crispy, a tad bit burnt but again it was so good. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. I also made sure to get plenty of strawberry butter this time and I slathered it all over my pancake and biscuit. The kiddos had child's plates that included two mini pancakes, eggs and a choice of protein. My cousin had a hash that looked incredible and she said it was very tasty. I'll have to try it out one day if I can ever break myself away from the pancakes. Just like last time the amibiance was warm, cozy, family friendly and Christian themed. This just might be my fave breakfast spot. I absolutely love it.
