Excellent old fashion cheeseburger. Great fries. Sweet service! Definitely a hidden treasure. We will be back for sure!!

This is a Alvin hometown classic with the best sweet tea in the area for cheap free if you are a first responder but finally after 12 years of only getting tea here we finally got food . The jalapeño burger or something like that 2 meats cheese and fried jalapeños . It had no topping like mayo mustard etc look and smelt great but the meat tasted dry and they put a tiny I mean tiny dab in the middle of the burgers the fries were like reg fries you get from a store but they were cold a place like this you would think had fresh cut fries but I guess not . I'm giving this place 3 stars for the fact the burger still had pretty good taste for being dry and the people were very polite and had a southern charm and of course the sweet tea is a given that is if you like Texas sweet tea .give it a try and see what you think read more

This has always been a favorite of mine. This place has been here forever and for a reason. They have plenty of options available and all made with locally grown vegetables and meat from stantons. No indoor seating but they have a covered area with picnic tables and a wall decorated with old signs. Go inside and order and when food is ready they call your name while you wait in your car or on the patio area. read more

I went in for lunch the burger the meat tasted freezer burnt , the shrimp sandwich for my daughter wasn't even cook the shrimp was raw .so I was going to give them another chance so I went back the next day the new owner was rude , condescending about the whole situation refused to refund my money offered me a drink as compensation this is truly what we call a choke and puke! Great burgers and tots this place is always good for a quick meal. No it's not gourmet but it's good and takes me back to when I was a kid. The prices are reasonable and I personally think it's a better option than the commercial Sonic across the street ! read more

This is a great place to eat I enjoy it very much. Today we got the tortilla burger and the hamburger patty was the size of a small sausage biscuit. When It was brought to attention the young lady got rude with me. The young man that was there corrected the problem. read more

first off, we waited in line w two ppl in front of us, get to the counter & were assisted by a very rude lady by the name of Myra? (claimed she was the manager) she seemed extremely bothered by having to assist us... maybe it was due to the fact that we are look a little on the young side...? as she seemed to have a pleasant attitude w all the other seniors that came in after us.. we had a kinda big order (food for three) & were told to wait. about four or five other customers came in after us.... all of which received their food BEFORE us, wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, we waited - thinking maybe it was just a big order.. 45 MINUTES went by & we still had not received our food. approached the counter & inquired about our order only to be told that the ticket couldn't be found, then were told that the order was called (when we were sitting there listening for it), then were told that she thought the order was a call in & had been sitting to the side THE ENTIRE TIME. the lady then proceeded to give attitude as we asked to make our food fresh. absolutely crazy that you spend $40 on some food for 45 min just to receive nothing.. this does need to be taken up w the owner (whose name we were told was phyllis) & is completely unacceptable, we were told by myra that information could not be given out & a call back number was left to be passed to the owner. sad thing is, the place looked good, lots of options on the menu that we would have came back for, had the experience went better. read more

Dairyland is right down the road from my work.. One day headed to sonic (across the street from dairyland) for lunch i thought I'd give it a try it. The food was amazing, the staff was very friendly and the wait time was a little longer then expected- But overall very good.. A week later I thought I'd give it another go considering my past experience was good.. Well was I wrong! I was very disappointed in the staff and the wait time. I have an hour lunch- there were only two or three people there, waited 40 minutes and still did not have my food. My friend went to go check and see how much longer until we will receive our food they argued with him saying they had already gave us our food which they had not! We chalked it up as a loss and went else where.. I do recommend this place if you have about an hour or two wait time for your food other than that I would not go if you are on a time schedule. Like I said previously the food is very good.. Kind of takes you back to the old days. I just really did not appreciate the way the staff handled the situation at hand. read more
