Far better than I could've imagined! Huge portions and very flavorful. The restaurant has a laid back vibe but very creative with the murals. The service was fantastic and they were very attentive. I'll definitely be back!
Diner vibe, there's outside eating as well and a merch section with frog-themed goods. If you're vegetarian don't get the breakfast potatoes, they're cooked in bacon grease.thr vegetable eggs Benedict was fine, nothing spectacular and the side options were sliced tomatoes, thr bacon home fries or grits, which had no flavor. It was affordable for the area but nothing I'd go back for seconds for.
Great breakfast spot! Don't be intimidated by how busy they are...they get you seated pretty quick and the food is worth it! There is also outside seating. In all fairness, it looked so good, I forgot to take a picture when it first came out. It had perfect bananas quartered on top of the crepe and a beautiful piece of fresh pineapple on fruit. There is also a slice banana bread I was not expecting, but nice touch. The crepe is huge! I was expecting maybe 2 thin crepes; not one massive one. Everything is so very fresh! My husband had the quiche Lorraine looked very small compared to my plate, but he said it was very filling and delicious. My only disappointment was the home fries were too soft for my taste, but flavor was good. Our server, Micayla was so calm and friendly, and very attentive given how super busy they were. Even Brian was very on top of coffee refills. It lives up to its name because everywhere you look, there are frogs decorating the place...cute I will absolutely be returning whenever I'm in St Pete!
Service was excellent. Outdoor patio was so loud you can't hear yourself think. Food was average if not gigantic portions. Definitely come here if starving after a night of drinking, don't expect much from the food and absolutely sit inside.
We just rolled into town last night, and after searching a little while I found this restaurant that was close by. The four of us drove over there and were seated almost immediately by a friendly staff. The service and attention we received was excellent and exceeded my expectations for such a popular place. Thank you Silia! From what I observed this restaurant is more popular for breakfast items, especially the cinnamon French toast. All the breakfast items on the menu sounded fantastic, and I would love to try them all when I come back. Pros: pulp in the orange juice, complementary fruit bowl because of kitchen delays. Cons: none
Definitely the best little restaurant! Perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. We had biscuit, gravy, tomatoes, eggs, sausage and bacon. Coffee was great!
Our server was great. They were able to handle both my mother and mother in law being picky about their breakfast. Thank you and I'm sorry! I'm in the hospitality industry and I know what it's like. I did say "please don't spit in my food" after the odd requests that were asked. I dunno why anyone would want a fresh fruit crepe with the fruit not inside or on top. Anyways! Hahaha. I ordered the mushroom and cheese omelette... It had real cheese and fresh mushrooms. Thank you! It was exactly what I wanted. Plus the house potatoes were tasty and evil. My hubby ordered the roast beef omelette... cause why not?!? He said it was a little bland. Maybe it needed some of the liquid to add more flavor? Idk since I don't eat beef. The portion size was huge! My mom got the Florentine Benedict. The egg was could close to perfect and that's pretty impressive for a larger group and being super busy. Teen got the apple waffle. It was a Belgian waffle with some cooked apples on top. She scarfed it up. We did get some fresh fruit on the table and it tasted like onion. Not sure if in fridge with cut onions or cut on cutting board after onions? We sent it back... overall this was a tasty breakfast we needed! Thanks so much!
Stopped here on a visit to St. Pete because of the reviews. The food was okay. Eggs were not real eggs (egg beaters) which is not something I like. Bacon was good - portion size was decent We had the pecan waffle and bananas foster waffle which was good. We opted to sit outside because it was a nice day.
Excellent breakfast spot! Clear regulars that come in early in the AM. Prices are very fair and portions are HUGE. Our server was very nice and attentive and food came out quick. The star was the cinnamon roll French toast but all their savory dishes were also delicious. The eggs, toast, coffee, and potatoes were classic diner food. Highly recommend if in the area.
My second time here and even better than the first. The entire breakfast was absolutely perfect, like 10 stars perfect. Had the eggs Benedict with home fries potatoes. The picture is worth a thousand words. Had some bacon too, thick peppery goodness cooked perfectly. Honestly, probably the best breakfast of my life and worth every cent.

On the way home from our Treasure Island vacation , we stopped in the Frog for a bite to eat before our 4 hour ride home. Are we glad we did. Packed house when we arrived around 11am., but we got a table right away. Great service and great food. I ordered the Monte Cristo Omelette, Ham, turkey and Swiss cheese. My wife ordered the vegetable omelet, spinach, mushroom and cheddar. Huuuge portions. My omelet was filled with shaved turkey and ham, not just a slice or two, or chopped as usual with other breakfast places. Also my potatoes were cooked perfectly. Our server gave us their homemade strawberry jam, which was so good , we bought a jar to take home. We were so full, we barely ate dinner that night. Do yourself a favor if your in the area , stop in, you will not be disappointed, and try the jam.

This was the best french toast I've ever had and the whipped cream was so delicious. The homemade strawberry preserves were also awesome. The staff was prompt and our food came out quick. I love diner food. I love the diner experience. Plentiful plates of piping hot and good food that are not overpriced. Service and attention without the fluff. Frog Pond is great at that. It's a little bit hard to spot from the road because it's large overhanging patio. But it is on the corner Gulf Blvd and Corey Ave, right at the traffic light. Plenty of parking on the side of the building. I think there was maybe two tables out front if you prefer to eat outside. As the name suggests, there are frog kitsch everywhere. Not terrible. Cutesy. A little dark inside. Plenty of seating, both tables and booths. The service is attentive and frequent. The food is good. Really good. I ordered a spinach and swiss cheese omelette. It is served with home fries, a slice of fruit (in this case, orange) butered toast and strawberry jam. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and home fries. Also served with orange slice and buttered toast. The omelette was perfectly cooked. NO brown spots. The spinach had flavor, home fries were soft on the outside and crispy on the outside. The bacon is salty, crispy and sooo good. The portions are big. The price point is comfortable. BUT unfortunately, the coffee is needs improvement. That is the negative I have for this wonderful place. Do yourself the favor and read the front of the menu. Very insightful. read more
Love this local GEM! Was in town visiting and wanted a local mom pop to grab breakfast before going to the beach. Came early and this is your no frills breakfast place with lovely servers! The place is adorned with of course...frogs. Gets bustling during high season so get there early! Hefty portions! I got the crepe of the day which came with loads of fruit . read more

Cute, kitschy place for breakfast. Sunday late morning it was very busy but we called ahead & only waited a few min once we arrived. 6 people and we each ordered something different. Everyone liked what they ordered. The portions were big, and they were free flowing on the coffee and refills. I got the corned beef hash, eggs n toast. Very yummy - especially with the sweet jelly on tithe toast, and salty hash n eggs . Our server Tyler was very friendly & helpful. Please ask about why all the frogs .. lol. Frogs everywhere!! Lol. The story is cute though. When I'm St Pete, I would return here for breakfast. read more

Just had a late breakfast the other day with my boyfriend and 1 year old. Great service from beginning to end. Quick with the coffee and refills as well as recommendations. I ordered the eggs Benedict with lox--it also had some sautéed onions, and cooked tomatoes on top of a grilled bagel, with capers on the side. Not usually a huge fan of cooked tomatoes unless in a sauce, but it actually complimented everything, as well as the cooked onions rather than the traditional raw in a bagel with lox. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash. The portions were AMPLE on both. My fiancé got the biscuits with gravy and eggs. Also very good. Our server was awesome and especially sweet with our baby; but the whole restaurant staff that we came in contact with was very friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious and definitely hit the spot! read more
This breakfast spot was only a mile from our hotel and is convenient for anyone staying on the beach! We decided to give it a try after reading all of the good reviews. When you walk in, the interior has hunter green tables, and the tables are all pretty close together. It makes you feel like you are stepping back into time and goes with the name. They were pretty busy on a Saturday but we were seated right away and food comes out fast! They have a couple of tables outside as well which is perfect for nice days. Their menu is quite extensive and there is something for everyone. It was so hard to choose what to get. Tyler, our waiter, was super attentive and quick to take our order. We would definitely recommend him! The host was very friendly at the front and immediately made you feel welcome. The food was so hot when it came out. We got the steak Benedict, the biscuits and gravy with eggs and home fries and the kids French toast. The portions were a great size, especially the kids French toast! Those home fries are *chefs kiss*, loved the seasoning and cooked to perfection. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Tasty casual breakfast joint with cute frog decor and warm, friendly service. The hangover omelette was a standout with loads of veggies, crisp bacon, and cheese. Home fries were well seasoned. Bananas foster french toast was also delicious. Loved this place! read more

Food was terrible. Yolk was hard on my crab benedict. Crab was imitation and they attempted to cook the large pieces, so then it had terrible texture and taste. Odd they gave my 1yo a glass of water without even a straw. I ultimately asked for kids or to go cups for my 1 and 5yo which they did bring. Just odd! The hostess was extremely nice and checked on us multiple times. Waitress came around twice. Place was clean. Would not go back because of food. read more
Plenty of free parking. Nice outdoor sitting. Great food. Huge portions. Good service. Reasonable pricing. What else do you need for a good breakfast or brunch. The eggs Benedict here are just wow, so tasty, so good, so big. You just need to go there and try them. I recommend the salmon and the bacon Benedicts. Their corn grits are not good, so better order the plates with the potatoes. read more

I haven't been to a Frog Pond restaurant in years so when we were staying on Treasure Island and the question of where we wanted to go for breakfast came up, the obvious answer was Frog Pond! The food that day did not disappoint. We had six in our party and only had to wait about 20 minutes. Service was incredible, getting a cup of coffee within minutes of being sat. For my breakfast, I ordered the Neptune omelette with a side of hollandaise sauce. Everything was delicious! Also, don't forget to ask for a side of their homemade jelly. It's so good! read more

Service was prompt and knowledgeable. Food wasn't good very bland. Got the classic egg Benedict and the egg was over cooked. Lox Benedict wasn't good at all!!! Cheese grits were seriously a bowl of cheese, that you could not taste the grits, not consumable. French toast was ok but forgettable. Left full plates server didn't question if we were satisfied knowing it was our first time there. Tells us they experience this A-LOT. I think if you are a local I guess you go there but it's a one and done for us. It's was a $55 bill for breakfast...... read more
