Went in today and got their daily special, which is coffee, two eggs, bacon, toast, and a side. The portions are huge and everything was so fresh and delicious. The coffee is probably the best I have had in so long. Of course the service continues to be exceptional and Jackie took great care of us with her amazing smile. It's a little bit hard to spot from the road because it's large overhanging patio. But it is on the corner Gulf Blvd and Corey Ave, right at the traffic light. Plenty of parking on the side of the building. I think there was maybe two tables out front if you prefer to eat outside. As the name suggests, there are frog kitsch everywhere. Not terrible. Cutesy. A little dark inside. Plenty of seating, both tables and booths. The service is attentive and frequent. The food is good. Really good. I ordered a spinach and swiss cheese omelette. It is served with home fries, a slice of fruit (in this case, orange) butered toast and strawberry jam. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and home fries. Also served with orange slice and buttered toast. The omelette was perfectly cooked. NO brown spots. The spinach had flavor, home fries were soft on the outside and crispy on the outside. The bacon is salty, crispy and sooo good. The portions are big. The price point is comfortable. BUT unfortunately, the coffee is needs improvement. Just arrived home from our 2nd trip to the St. Pete area, and we made a point of going back to Frog Pond when there. This time we made it there twice for breakfast, including just before we hit the airport heading home. Wow is all I can say...the freshest, most amazing fruit, consistently excellent food with huge portions, and the friendliest service around. Good coffee, too, with fast & plentiful refills. We went the morning of my daughter's birthday, and the servers remembered her when we stopped in a few days later on the way out of town. Great breakfast spot! Don't be intimidated by how busy they are...they get you seated pretty quick and the food is worth it! There is also outside seating. In all fairness, it looked so good, I forgot to take a picture when it first came out. It had perfect bananas quartered on top of the crepe and a beautiful piece of fresh pineapple on fruit. There is also a slice banana bread I was not expecting, but nice touch. The crepe is huge! I was expecting maybe 2 thin crepes; not one massive one. Everything is so very fresh! My husband had the quiche Lorraine looked very small compared to my plate, but he said it was very filling and delicious. My only disappointment was the home fries were too soft for my taste, but flavor was good. Our server, Micayla was so calm and friendly, and very attentive given how super busy they were. Even Brian was very on top of coffee refills. We just rolled into town last night, and after searching a little while I found this restaurant that was close by. The four of us drove over there and were seated almost immediately by a friendly staff. The service and attention we received was excellent and exceeded my expectations for such a popular place. I did say "please don't spit in my food" after the odd requests that were asked. I dunno why anyone would want a fresh fruit crepe with the fruit not inside or on top. Anyways! Hahaha. It was super crowded for a good reason. As a party of two we sat almost immediately and the food was incredible. We got the cinnamon bun french toast and the lox omelette. This was the best french toast I've ever had and the whipped cream was so delicious. The homemade strawberry preserves were also awesome. The staff was prompt and our food came out quick. Cute, kitschy place for breakfast. Sunday late morning it was very busy but we called ahead & only waited a few min once we arrived. 6 people and we each ordered something different. Everyone liked what they ordered. The portions were big, and they were free flowing on the coffee and refills. I got the corned beef hash, eggs n toast. Another hidden gem in the st pete area ! My family and I planned a last minute beach day after coming home from Orlando and we were looking for a spot with some good breakfast or brunch food. This place was one of the top ones that popped up, so we decided to give them a try! First things first it's all about frogs :) they have frogs all over the place. (Not real frogs) they have statues, art work, tshirts and just a bunch of fun frog decor. They have two seating options, you can either sit inside or outside. One thing I also love is that they are family friendly, so if you have kids, you can bring them here :) Our server was excellent! He was very attentive and kept our cups filled! For our meals, we ordered under the Etcetera menu, the two eggs, toast and home fries and added a side of the biscuits and gravy. Our son ordered just the kids bowl of fruit. Our food was pretty good, the only thing we weren't a fan of was the sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy was very starchy and dry. On the way home from our Treasure Island vacation , we stopped in the Frog for a bite to eat before our 4 hour ride home. Are we glad we did. Packed house when we arrived around 11am., but we got a table right away. Great service and great food. I ordered the Monte Cristo Omelette, Ham, turkey and Swiss cheese. My wife ordered the vegetable omelet, spinach, mushroom and cheddar. Huuuge portions. My omelet was filled with shaved turkey and ham, not just a slice or two, or chopped as usual with other breakfast places. Also my potatoes were cooked perfectly. Our server gave us their homemade strawberry jam, which was so good , we bought a jar to take home. We were so full, we barely ate dinner that night. Just had a late breakfast the other day with my boyfriend and 1 year old. Great service from beginning to end. Quick with the coffee and refills as well as recommendations. I ordered the eggs Benedict with lox--it also had some sautéed onions, and cooked tomatoes on top of a grilled bagel, with capers on the side. Not usually a huge fan of cooked tomatoes unless in a sauce, but it actually complimented everything, as well as the cooked onions rather than the traditional raw in a bagel with lox. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash. The portions were AMPLE on both. My fiancé got the biscuits with gravy and eggs. Also very good. They were pretty busy on a Saturday but we were seated right away and food comes out fast! They have a couple of tables outside as well which is perfect for nice days. Their menu is quite extensive and there is something for everyone. It was so hard to choose what to get. Tyler, our waiter, was super attentive and quick to take our order. We would definitely recommend him! The host was very friendly at the front and immediately made you feel welcome. The food was so hot when it came out. We got the steak Benedict, the biscuits and gravy with eggs and home fries and the kids French toast. The portions were a great size, especially the kids French toast!
