La Croisette was our last stop before heading home from a girls trip in St Pete Beach. We made a reservation and called ahead to see if we can come in early. The restaurant said yes. When we got there, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. The inside was very warm so we asked to sit outside waited a minute. Another party that had a reservation to sit outside with seated and we left on the curb to wait for a little while. Which was OK, but ultimately we were taken inside to sit indoors. Our server was so nice. We were a party of 9, very large group and she did a great job. For being voted best breakfast in St Pete Beach I felt like the menu was somewhat limited. The menu does not state they have specialty coffee but when I ask, they did so that was a great surprise. I got eggs Benedict. It was very tasty. The grits were very good too. All in all, I think it was a good experience, giving it a four star only because of how stressed and curt the manager was with our group initially. We heard many good reviews of La Croisette, especially from a French born woman who worked down the street from it! We went for a late breakfast/brunch and were not disappointed. My wife had the French crêpe with bananas and chocolate, and an egg on the side for protein. I had heard wonderful things about their croissant French toast. So I ordered it and again it was fantastic. I got some sausage along the side. They do have Texas toast style French toast too, and cinnamon bun French toast! We sat outside under the canopy and the atmosphere was fantastic. They are only open for breakfast until 2. We may go back this week while we're in St Pete Beach. I put hot sauce and ketchup on them along with some salt, and they were edible. But here's my bitch, what's with the one slice of toast when this breakfast is $9.00?!!!! I've seen this place a few times driving in town and finally got the chance to try it out. I wish I've gone sooner! I got the fried chicken croissant sandwich and a bit disappointed when it came out with chicken tenders on it. The potatoes were the star of the meal. Very well seasoned and crispy. La Croisette is conveniently located right on Gulf Blvd. It can not be missed with its pink exterior, bright blue canopy and checkered floor outdoor seating. It has parking in the back. Not much & a little tight, but parking nonetheless. We were greeted immediately. Given the choice of where to sit. "Anywhere that's open" Not much was open. Lots of guests. We chose a nice table, corner window. Our server greeted us immediatly, offered me cofffe, "yes, please" My husband is the king of apple juice. The menu has plenty of offerings. Eggs in any form, scrambled, omelettes, benedict, even quiche. They also offer breakfast burritos, pancakes and waffles. But croissants are king here. Not toast. They serve drinks of all kinds, juices, coffee, hot tea, iced tean, milk, hot chocolate milk and milk. They also serve cocktails, mimosas, bloody marys, etc. And although, not on the menu they also offer specialty coffees like mocha lattes. We ordered, I got the croissant sandwich, which is two eggs scrambled with anything you want, ham, veggies & cheese, in between sliced croissant. My husband went with home fries, scrambled eggs with cheese and croissant as his "toast". The food is ok. The positive, big portions for the price. I like to feel full and satisfied. The food was hot. Negative, the eggs were a little to over done for me, but maybe I should have specified. The home fries were nice and crispy, loved the big chunks of onions, peppers and mushrooms. The croissant lacked flakiness and flavor. They were so bland. I doubt they are made in house, which is not a big deal, but wherever they get it from, they reheat in the microwave. That makes them limp. The coffee was also not good. It was disappointing. I ate it, I was hungry. But if they were to read this, I would suggest they improve on croissants and coffee. This is the cutest little modern style French inspired beachside diner. They open super early so perfect for the early birds. They serve the typical diner breakfast fare & some lunch items but they close super early also. It's a very popular place with the locals as we saw the same people every morning. Some very very sweet mentally challenged lady kept trying to get me to try her burrito every morning. She told me she has it every morning, it's her favorite. So adorable. What a fan club! haha. We were just as enthusiastic fans of the crepe with their fabulous giant fruit cup side, but not the coffee, the coffee is terrible, just diner coffee, Ice tea with fresh lemon was lovely as was the service. The back room with the mod artwork is also a lovely place to take a meeting/zoom call. It's quiet back there & has awesome natural light. The one thing I did find on the menu that I did LOVE is the traditional Green salad with grilled chicken. The "JOAN OF ARC" or "salade de poulet" w/choice of dressing (oil & vinegar pictured) was perfectly seasoned on top of super fresh greens/veggies. It comes with your choice of dressing, moi got oil & vinegar, then, balsamic vinaigrette. You def want the balsamic vinaigrette. Normally I'm not a potatoe fan unless it's hash browns or fries , but these diced potatoes were delicious. Whatever they add as the seasoning was great. We also ordered the cheese sauce to dip the potatoes in and it was good! The omelet was delicious too and I loved the holladise sauce on top. The grits didn't really taste like much... and the quiche was good, but I feel like it was lacking a little flavor and I didn't taste the cheddar cheese in it at all. After a rough evening due to heavy rain, high surf and major winds, we wanted a nice Sunday breakfast. We took a nice long walk on the beach and ended up at La Croisette. There was a sign in sheet outside, and that is the only reason I'm not going with a 5. This would be a high 4.95 if I could. The servers(Tina) were amazing and super friendly. I asked for a Poinsettia, champagne and Cranberry, it was mostly champagne, so good! Amanda ordered the Croissant omelet hash and I ordered the Hash Benny. It was so good. We have been in St Pete beach for 4 days, one of the best meals so far. Highly recommend! It'll get busy and the sign it sheet is rough, we worth it! We actually ordered desert.
