    Avocado toast
    Melissa E.

First this place is super cute and we loved the decor especially the hanging plants. the coffee menu had some excellent choices so we tried both an iced and hot. The toffee crunch coffee was really good not overly sweet and well made. The iced Honey Bunny Latte was good but less successful as it had chunks in it my guess is honey that didn't mix in since it was iced but flavor was still pretty good. For breakfast we got avocado toast and biscuits with gravy with potatoes and side of scrambled egg. Both meals were simple but really the biggest issue was lack of seasoning. The potatoes didn't even have salt or pepper on them. The sausage gravy tasted mostly of yhe roux and the avocado toast was literally avocado, a piece of toast and an over hard egg. The biscuits were good (and very clearly tasted like they were made with bisquick) but there wasn't enough sausage gravy on the plate. Service was friendly but standoffish. I would go back to grab a coffee but probably not for the food.

We stopped into the Friendly Fox for a quick breakfast/brunch before attending the 2023 Johnny Appleseed Festival in Fort Wayne, and we couldn't have been more impressed with this place. The food was spectacular. I had a breakfast skillet and my wife had quiche, and everything was wonderful, including the coffee. The ambiance is also excellent; this is an old, historic building that exudes class. Service was also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a cute neighborhood cafe! We came here for lunch and weren't disappointed. Service was quick and easy. I ordered the Lemon Scallion salad and substituted hummus for the chicken. My husband had the Italian sandwich, and the bread was super soft. Our friend had the California wrap, which looked really fresh. It was 90 degrees, so we ate inside instead of on the covered patio. Most impressive was the baked good case!

DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN SALAD WRAP, it will not taste the way you think it will. Other than that, the food is pretty average, it's nothing special.

I've been wanting to visit this place for 3 years now and just never made the time, but I made the time today. The only complaint I have is very little parking. Other than that, the atmosphere and service were excellent. We were greeted right away, and the staff were friendly and helpful the entire time! It smelled so good as soon as we walked in! I was happy that they had some keto options with salad and humus on their menu! The kale and sausage soup portion was rather small for a man but was delicious. My salad with roasted beet vinaigrette was a nice portion with amazing flavors! Would love to try their breakfast menu someday!

We are always looking for local places to get wraps/sandwiches and found this great little spot. The inside was really nice, the staff was incredibly friendly (Pun fully intended), and my Southwest Veggie Wrap was light with a ton of flavor! Definitely coming back soon!

Absolutely love the food & fellowship that come with being at The Friendly Fox! Staff is very smiley, helpful & patient, atmosphere is relaxing yet fulfilling! Seating indoors & outdoors with street parking! So many dessert options to choose from here, as well as vegan friendly food choices! Never a bad experience when I come here!

Excellent food, decent atmosphere. I had the artichoke soup, Gorgonzola-bacon-green Apple salad. Both were fantastic.

The outside patio is huge and most of it is covered so that's a win. There are garden beds and planters everywhere, so you don't feel like it's in a strip mall at all. Parking was a bit weird since there were only a few spots out front but lots around other businesses. The coffee was good. The smores latte was the fall drink I tried and it was pretty sweet! Almost too sweet to drink a large one. My friends got americanos and they loved those and said the coffee flavor was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back!

There was a really nice flavor of sausage, instead of the flour base that most restaurants choose to use. The biscuits were an interesting choice and weren't bad, but that gravy was the entire reason for their being. At only $8, I will definitely be back to get more! The service was fine, considering the food is brought to you, but nothing more. The ambiance was very much a coffee shop's ambiance, which is a good thing. I look forward to being on this side of Fort Wayne again so I can chow down on more sausage gravy!!

The snazzy gal, wish I remembered her name, served us up quickly; and I noticed she managed to mix everything properly without leaving sludge on the bottom which is a real trick and treat for five orders and turning off the open sign to avoid having to send away an impending wedding rush of people next door in the conservatory! We all went for the basic signatures, miel, salted caramel, and vanilla lattes, great to have a rewards program here syncing across all three Conjure locations. My good buddy was hesitant to spend five on coffee but some convincing and a sip later we had another believer in the fruit bean brew magic! Was glad I got to show off a proper espresso place where they make their own syrups for a first timer, no better spot to introduce a newbie to the java life. Can highly recommend, it was great to finally try the third Conjure joint since the main station closes two hours earlier.

We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Also, it's supposed to be an upscale place and they were out of paper towels in the bathroom. I feel like that is just basic service they should check on regularly.

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.

The environment has a slightly industrial feel with just a hint of coziness, which gives it a modern but still comfortable vibe. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It was alright -- nothing special, but given the size and volume of the place, I don't necessarily expect everything to be made completely fresh to order. It did the job. The service was also just alright. My interaction with the barista/bartender was brief and unfortunately a bit stale. She wasn't rude, just not particularly warm or memorable. Overall, it's a convenient place with a lot of options, but the experience itself was pretty average.
