I brought them 10 framed portraits that were many years old and terribly faded. They did their magic and restored them beautifully and thoughtfully. I brought in smaller pictures so they could accurately color match. The results brought tears to my eyes. Such a difference! While it's an increased cost, the museum glass is totally worth it - no light reflections and it looks like the person is right there in front of you, looking out. Not cheap to do this type of restoration, but memories are priceless, right? I am going back with about 6 more framed photos for them to do. Thank you, Frame It Waban Gallery -for a job well done!

The canvas was crumpled from my poor care of it, and paint had therefore gotten messed up. The associate very nicely and without judgment helped me select the frame style and colors as I had no idea where to start from the hundreds of options, said they'd fix the missing paint, and I was delighted to get the beautiful, stretched out, framed, final product before Christmas!

Framing: 5 stars Attitude of staff: 2 stars…read more I will say that I've gone to both Big Picture Framing in Porter Square as well as in Harvard Square. My experience at Harvard Square was 5 star worthy until pickup. I needed an appointment to have my custom framing session which went off without a hitch. I booked online, they let me in when I arrive and had me in and out in less than 30min. After a couple weeks, I got a call letting me know that my item was ready for pickup and to just knock on the door when I got there. They close at 6 so I made an attempt to arrive at 5:45 on a Wednesday for a quick pickup but the lights were already out and no one was around. I get life happens and maybe the associate had to leave early, no harm. I come the next day at 5:15 and I see someone at the desk, I knock at the door and he makes eye contact with me and it looks like he gets on the phone so I assume he's calling someone to let me in. Now, I don't have an appointment because I'm picking up and was told I don't need one. At this point no one has come out and I've been standing outside in the cold for about 5 minutes when I give another wave and he continues to ignore me. Finally, he gets up from the desk walks up to the door and from behind the door, forcefully taps on the paper on the door about needing an appointment for framing services, and with an attitude says "go online", then quickly turns around back to the desk. Now, I was instructed to show up and knock on the door which I did so I said I'm here to pickup. He begrudgingly turned around and asked my name and hands me my print from a crack in the door, in the dark, without showing it to me or giving me a second to look at it. I had a large piece framed at the Porter Square location about 2 months ago and when I arrived they took the 3 minutes to ensure that it was what I'd ordered and to my standard. I couldn't have been more disappointed with how my experience ended here at Harvard Square and now know to steer clear. They may do a great frame but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Had the associate seen me knock and come over to let me know I needed an appointment immediately, I would've been able to let them know I was here for a pickup without issue. Instead, this person made the choice to ignore me instead of taking the 30 seconds to come up and try to help. Really disappointing.

By 1:05 pm, I was back in my office with my diploma proudly displayed on the wall, with not only a fresh piece of glass in the front, but all the stuff that goes into the back of a framed piece of paper that the other shop (*coughMichael'scough*) hadn't bothered to give me when they did the original framing. The estimated price was spot-on (and very reasonable), the work was quick and professional, and the final result is just stunning. The only thing that could make this better would be if I had more things to frame. I'll definitely be coming back to this shop when I do have something to frame. I'm one very happy customer!
