Ordered the Bee sting with meatball (still a must do) The Cesar was different from the last time I was here. Instead of the hazelnut crumble it came with croutons. The pep pizza came with those perfect crispy little pepperonis. Delicious! The Bee sting was a little disappointing. The flavors mingled nicely, It just felt like it was missing something. I wish I could say I feel bad about leaving one star, but after the experience we just had...well..I will not dine in house again (or likely to go) The Good: - Pizza was pretty good. The good ends here. The Bad - at least a 90 min wait for a pizza with only 4 other tables with customers (I get it, a lot of to go pizza but...) - about 75 min of waiting we finally had someone come over and apologize for the long wait. I was told about 8 more minutes and it will be served. - when we were done (drinks still dry) I did bring up the issues with the server, he agreed the pizza is good but the wait times are horrible and that he wishes they would do something about it etc etc. I did point out that our drinks ran dry a long while ago....they remained dry after as well! We went here during our Sunriver vacation in July. First of all, we go to Sunriver almost every year so I'm not sure why we have not tried this place until this past summer. Anyways, I'm glad we finally checked it out. The location could not be any better. You know the saying....location, location, location--right in the heart of where everyone goes out to eat and shop. It's a great hangout for some pizza and beer! I like the fact that it's spacious and clean inside. I really like the ambiance. We were seated right away. Our waiter was very pleasant and immediately asked about our drink preferences. I really love how they have different designs on the plates they give to each person. They're not the boring plain white plates you get at most restaurants. Just something that caught my attention. I love it! Their fries are really good! So good, we ordered a second order and fyi...they give a lot of fries. Their pizza is also quite delicious! We will definitely go back here next summer! read more

First the things that were positive: the pizza was good, the crust was nice and chewy, yet crispy. The salads were large and the small was enough for two to share. Unfortunately the negative items outnumbered the positive. We tried to go there twice, the first time they ran out of pizza dough and we only found out about that situation after we had already waited 40 minutes for a table. The second time we tried to eat there we only waited 20-25 minutes for a table, however once seated, we weren't even acknowledged by the waiter for 35 minutes, to even get water for the table and another 20 minutes for him to take our order. After the sun goes down in Sunriver it cools down quickly, we were seated outdoors with no heaters, it got very cold quickly. After waiting so long for food it was uncomfortable and we were not able to enjoy the pizza and salad. Although the food was good we won't visit again. read more

For Sunriver, this place was awesome! The cocktails were generous and creative, the service (we love Kay!) was friendly and personable, and the food was tasty. The only thing was that it did take a lot of time to get our food, but Kay was so apologetic and gave us free drinks, so we didn't mind at all! Food: we got the Caesar salad, which was tangy and a good start. We got the Bee Sting pizza, which I thought was okay, but the husband really loved (and it was really more his kinda pie). Sunriver doesn't have a lot of great restaurants. I could see this being an amazing option in the ski season. We'll definitely be back here! read more

This review is a little bit overdue. I don't think twice about going to the Fold for pizza or anything from. They're not huge but creative menu. Literally the best arugula salad I've ever had. Mild, not better arugula, with some kind of blackberry or Marion berry dressing and giant sweet berries, dropped like pillows of heaven on granola for ( croutons!?). The pizza has crust that is worth eating, more than enough cheese, which I never thought I'd say that ... and a sauce that is flavorful and not just sour tomato's that are b grade turned to sauce to save the crop. Our table ordered about six different pizzas and they all looked fabulous. The restaurant is in a resort called Sunriver and I don't know if people go there just to eat unless they're staying at the resort. But I have to tell you I would and maybe this is the only place that I would drive there to eat at out of all of them. Check the hours, but if they're open and you're nearby definitely go you won't be disappointed . Shout out to the staff, they were hard-working and super patient. Everything is salty and oily. The pizza we had, a cheese with tomatoes was very greasy, had water on top, and was soggy on the bottom. The idea that you should fold pizza is true of NYC style thin crust. This place isn't like that. Here ya need to wad it into a ball because it's so soggy. Very slow service we came in at 4:45 and left at 6:10 there were only like 6 people there too I swear people that walked in half a hour after us got there pizza before us. They kept messing up our orders they gave us vodka soda instead of vodka they gave us no granola on our salad (that's the best part) and they gave us the wrong stuff. We ordered the Crowdpleaser Caesar, the Brussel sprouts, and a Hawaiian pizza. It was $48 before tip and $55 with tip. It was a takeout order picked up and we started eating it within 10 minutes of "ready" time, so minimal travel decay. The Brussels were the equivalent of charcoal. No green left inside. Just char. We picked out a few soggy pieces of bacon and dates, but largely could not eat. The salad, which was GORGEOUS in the pictures on the website, was even more disappointing. It was a few pale leaves with a large handful of breadcrumbs thrown in. It was edible, technically, but was the kind of salad that people who don't like salad complain about. It was also a "side salad "size, not the size that could be a meal by itself, which we assumed it would be based on the price. The pizza was the winner. You judge pizza by the crust and this crust tasted like it had sat under a warmer all day and gone stale. The components of a Hawaiian pizza were all there and the pepperoni "cupped", but the flavors weren't melding the way they should in truly great pizza. It reminded me of the $5 Tuesday pizzas I got in my college days not long ago. This was the most disappointing meal I've had in memory. At least since the world ended... Cannot recommend. This was our favorite meal while in Sunriver! Bonus, the staff was incredibly friendly and personable! We had the green beans, best fries in town, simple green salad and meatball sandwich! It was all delicious! We also tried both gin drinks and their version of a whiskey sour...fantastic!! The Fold was a good stop after a long day of skiing. Our server was very friendly, which was a highlight of our visit. The dining atmosphere is great! Loved the natural light and the window alcoves and thought the barrels were fun decorations that doubled as pizza stands in some cases. The meatball folded pizza was yummy, though I was disappointed there wasn't more meat--it seemed like I could go 3-5 bites without anything but cheese and crust. I've been to this location over the last 20+ years with the various businesses that have occupied the space and I think the theme/ambience/whatever you want to call it with the Fold is the best I've seen. Industrial, I like it. Anyway, we ordered the Meat Sweats pizza (great name!) and the Folded Buffy and a raspberry lemonade (yum). The pizza looked great and according to my husband, was one of his favorite pizzas he's had in a long while. I love a pepperoni with a bit of crunch after it is cooked. The fold was good, however, with all the mentions of garlic, it really could have been more garlicky. I come from a family of garlic lovers and let me tell you, if you're going with this idea, you can do more! But the concept of these folds is funny, can't believe I haven't seen it before. Take the pizza crust, throw your toppings on and roll it. Ta-da! Basically a calzone. No complaints here. The main reason this isn't 5 stars is that service was a smidge lacking. Namely, they weren't slammed busy in the in-house eating area, I saw 3-4 employees behind the counter a few times that could have been more actively assisting the dine-in clientele and they weren't. Not sure what was going on there. We would have had additional drinks if there had been more attention. More drinks means more spent which means bigger tips typically. But our server was nice and helpful, even covered herself well when it was clear our order of garlic knots had been forgotten (we ended up getting them after our entrees). To start with the good: the pizza we ordered (5 different kinds) all tasted very good and are a comparable price for non-chain pizza places. For taste and price alone probably 4.5 stars. Our situation was that we arrived in Sunriver on a Saturday afternoon. We went on the website to place a carry out order and the online order function was inoperable. We tried calling several times around 6pm and it rang endlessly. About the fourth time calling someone picked up. We were told it would be at least 2 hours before our order would be ready, so we declined. The next evening we decided we would call just after opening at 4:00 pm for a pickup at 6. That way if there was another 2 hour delay we could still get our food around 6 pm. Again,the online ordering was disabled. Upon calling we were told that they could not schedule our order for 6 as that is when the dining room gets really busy and they need to have the pizza ovens ready for dining room customers. So we asked if we could have it prior to 6 and they said they could do 5. We tried to negotiate for 5:30, but they said no can do. Again this conversation was at 4pm and we were trying to push for a later order, not ASAP. We also wanted pepperoni on two of the pizzas.....and they were out of pepperoni!!! So be warned that if you call for carry out, if you are able to get a hold of someone, you may not be able to get your food at a time you want and the most popular ingredients may be out before dinner service begins. I can only imagine the dozens of families that showed up to dine in that evening and after being seated were told there was no pepperoni. The staff would have known that they were out of ingredients the day prior and could have made a quick trip to Bend to get ingredients for the next day's service, even if it's not exactly the same brand they usually use. I hope The Fold can make some much needed service changes in order to survive this competitive environment because the product is good, but the execution is lacking. read more

This place is a "zero" stars. We live close by and have picked up their food before and decided to dine in. This was the worst service ever. Waited 20 minutes at a table with my family. So good!! Pleasantly surprised. The crust is crispy and not heavy. It's not a little ceasars doughy soggy pizza. This is light and fresh with lots of herbs. Popped in here for an early/easy dinner after a long day with no reservation. They had a no show and we got a table! Shared the garden salad ( it's huge) and the pizza with honey & sausage (can't recall the name). The place filled up quickly. Our server was friendly, the food took a little bit of time but when it came out the salad was fresh and the pizza was hot. I'm not one to eat my pizza with a fork and knife and the only thing that bothered me was the honey drizzle on the crust so that my hands were sticky. Other than that, we both were quite satisfied and had pizza leftover to take home. I do want to give a shout out to whomever had the brilliant idea to pay homage to Anthony Bourdain by covering the walls in the bathroom with photos & articles all featuring that amazing man. I saw a few recent bad reviews so was hesitant to try this place but I'm glad we did. We had drinks at the bar while waiting for our to go pizzas. I had a Pablo Escobarrr and it was delicious. Pizzas were good- crust was a little hard, but we waited a bit before eating them (had to bike home!) so I think that played a part. Overall we will definitely return when in Sunriver again.
