Maggie was our groomer today, she was very communicative with me and explained that it took a little longer because she had to go slower because my girl was nervous. I can't not express my thanks to you! The staff is so sweet and kind! I especially love the fact that they let the dogs roam around like they're family. I asked for them to cut her fur short as we are entering summer, yet keep her ears and tail wispy, and they did just that! I will definitely be back with her! So on a whim... and because diesel is over $6 a gallon and Lily is part Great Pyrenees (IYKYK) we thought we'd run her down the street for what was quoted on the phone as a $50 bath, nails, and deshedding. Well... as if I didn't already hate myself for "cheating" on my long term ... sigh... they DOUBLED THE PRICE without any call or conversation. Now, when I called perhaps they could have found a reasonable explanation. But, what I got was, "prices go up" and "it's fine, don't bring her back if you don't like it". Well... lesson learned. The dog is traumatized and so am I. There will be no repeat visits from us... even for the self-wash area. Dammit.... I hate businesses that don't think they need repeat business!!!! NO to Barking Dogs Self-Wash & Grooming.... Unless you like surprises... of the not so good kind.... The one star is because you have to choose a minimum... 1 experience 1 star... Ha... nice try on your comment, and I don't see how to address that directly. She is MIXED with Pyrenees, yes. She is predominantly Aussie, and only about 50 lbs. My DAUGHTER dropped her off and picked her up, so nice try with your generational crap there buddy. And you just solidified the "no accountability " of businesses like you these days! If you stand by your $90, that's your business choice. If you quote one thing and charge another... that's sneaky and underhanded. Own it. Don't use my daughter's AGE as your defense!

As someone who isn't familiar with grooming blade lengths, I was expecting a little guidance, but instead, I got attitude. When I picked up my dog, he looked fine at first glance, so I paid and even tipped. However, once we got home, I noticed a trail of blood and found a cut on his back foot. It's hard to believe the groomer didn't see this before handing him back to me. Either they ignored it, or they just weren't paying attention--neither of which is acceptable when working with animals. There was another groomer I saw who was more kind/welcoming but overall just not a good first experience and I won't be returning.

This grooming was long overdue because of my dog's recent medical procedure - but she came out looking amazing in no time at all!
