It took around 3 weeks to get my laptop back. I paid around 300$ for a new battery & installation, with the idea that I would receive an OEM factory battery. After 3 weeks of waiting, I am informed that I can either wait a while longer or take an aftermarket chinese battery. I chose the latter, being completely fed up with waiting. The battery they installed feels extremely cheap, visibly looking like its held together by duct tape. It has a 2 hour battery life, compared to the 6 to 8 hours I got before having my laptop serviced. And the worst part of it all? THEY STOLE MY 1TB INTERNAL HARD DRIVE!!!!! I was shocked to open my laptop casing to see a blank hole where my hard drive once was. I didn't receive any compensation for the massive downgrade in battery quality, nor did they ever even mention that they stole my $100+ internal HDD. i have since learned how to modify and fix my own technology and will never again trust others. During this time, I learned that not everyone likes a do-it-yourself like me. Some even said I wanted, "free work." Not true! However, the current installed prices spoke to me. I grabbed my tools! Pulling a local permit as a home owner/builder in Florida, I installed a 2 ton (24k) ACIQ-24-HP32 condenser and ACIQ-24-AH32 air handler, and related mechanical. This system replaced a 26 year old 1.5 ton (18K) Trane XE-1000 condenser and TWGO18A air handler that was showing its age -- like me. One of my main hardware vendors, HVAC direct, patiently worked with me as I learned the new system requirements. With help from Isaiah Luke Appliance Repair to do the final commissioning of the system, the new ACIQ inverter system passed local inspection! The new system is a noticeably quieter and produces considerable heat split by comparison with the previous system. The fact that the ACIQ has a higher BTU rating, (24K) a higher seer rating (18), and yet uses smaller breakers, 30A down to 25A on the outside unit and 30 down to 15 amps for the inside unit and doesn't dim my lights when it runs, says it all. The technician they sent arrived in a timely manner and was friendly, informative, and not overly pushy about trying to upsell. He reconnected a detached hose and told us what other work needed to be done but we ended up skipping out on the other recommended stuff (I'm glad we had the option to as the washer wasn't too expensive originally anyway).
