Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

I sat and looked at my phnoe for a little bit until the battery almost died (it was alrfeady low when I got there). They had charging cords on the coffee table with adapters for every phone. I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.

Based on that understanding, I moved forward with the work. After the service was completed, I was later told that only two mounts were replaced and that the transmission mount was not included. This was not clearly communicated upfront in a way that matched the original agreement, and the final result did not reflect what I believed I was paying for. I now have to take my vehicle to another shop to complete the remaining work. There were also issues with the brake service. I was charged for brake-related work, but the correct pads were not installed at the time, requiring additional follow-up and inconvenience. Communication throughout the process became inconsistent, and it was difficult to get clear answers or timely responses. I attempted to resolve the situation directly, but we were not able to come to a fair resolution. I would recommend getting a detailed, itemized quote in writing before agreeing to any work.

I was in need of a gas station in the area as my friend ran out of gas less than a mile away. I…read morethought the gps was off because when I put in gas station, this place popped up which confused me because it's an automotive center. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled up and saw there were actual gas pumps. I had no idea it was self service. When I exited the vehicle , the attendant told me he could help me and informed me it was full service. I had a gas can that needed to be filled which was done quickly. He told me my pay options and that he would go inside to the register to pay for me. I literally did not life a finger. They also, cleaned my mirrors and windows. It was wonderful. The gas was a bit more pricier but , you gotta pay for convenience! I tipped and was able to leave without breaking a sweat ie stepping outside of my car. If you're in the area, you have to try it at least once!
