Steve had them all in stock and arranged for delivery and installation the next morning, 3-11-26! The delivery men were professional and friendly. They removed the old units, installed the new ones, and showed me how to use them. We are highly impressed with A1 Maytag Home Appliance Center, their inventory of high-demand appliances, and their superb customer service. We do not expect to need new washers or dryers for a very long time, but A1 will be our first stop for any other appliance needs in the future.

She said she would give me a call before they closed to let me know if she was able to find anything or if she would have to order it for me! I let her know I needed an estimated time since I didn't have a bed to sleep on and was hoping to get it as soon as possible. She assured me she would do her best to have it here by Monday/Tuesday, however if she had to order it and the guys couldn't get it on the truck by Sunday night I wouldn't get it til the following Monday! Anyway... I never received a call Saturday night so I called Sunday afternoon, and she said she was waiting on a call back from a store to see if they had it, but that she would be giving me a call back either before they closed or the following (Monday) morning... here we are Tuesday evening and the store is closed and I still have not gotten a callback with an update! The thing is if I tell someone I am going to do something I follow through... this person has been giving me the run around and that's not ok since I let her know I am in dire need of a bed. I will never go back to this store ever again and I will definitely not be recommending this store when someone asks me if I know of a place to shop for furniture! Worst experience ever!!!!

Akai inspected the entire unit and indicated the issue was the defroster in the freezer wasn't working and needed to be replaced. He quoted me what I thought was a very fair price but before I could say "Shut up and take my money!" he added that when he had unplugged the unit & plugged it back in, when starting up again the compressor sounded a bit suspicious. Thus he indicated I could go ahead and pay him to install a new defroster in the freezer, but it is only a matter of time before the compressor craps out and then replacing it would be over $1,000 and not worth it. So get this....he proposes that I defrost it the old school way by unplugging it, opening both the freezer & fridge doors, placing towels in front of the unit, and allowing all of the ice to melt and then just mop up all the water with towels and my wet vac and that would solve the problem for now. And in a few months when the issue occurs again I can just repeat the old school defrosting method until the compressor finally goes kaput, and then get a brand new refrigerator. Sure enough, I proceeded to do exactly what he recommended and lo and behold the fridge & freezer started working properly again. And I am all too happy to repeat every few months to squeeze every last bit of life from this old fridge until I have to get a new one. Akai could have very easily kept quiet about the compressor sounding sketchy and that it could fail in 3 weeks, 3 months, or 3 years and gotten a nice service order for replacing the defroster since he had already devoted the valuable time & effort to come to my house. However, he instead chose to be completely honest and forthcoming which is not as common as it should be and is very appreciated. I have saved his contact info and the next time I have any issues with any appliances he will be the technician I call. Knowledge and experience is great and there are a lot of qualified & knowledgeable appliance repair companies out there. However, also possessing honesty and integrity is why I strongly recommend Akai for any appliance repair issues.

Worth it for my peace of mind & also made sure I knew where my water shut off was just in case. These are good things to know , most people might not & that I'm a woman & older, it's good to know. Reached out to the only person we had contact information for, sales guy Kyle. Kyle acted as if a nonfictional refrigerator was no big deal. We went to the store this morning to have this fixed. Sales managers were extremely helpful and helped us resolve our problem. Let's talk about the delivery. We waited all day for delivery we decided to not let them push it to the next day. We were given the excuse that they had so much to deliver elsewhere. We live 4 miles from the store and had 1 thing. Why do we need to be concerned with them providing better service to other people. The delivery guys damaged the molding around the door. They left dirty finger prints on the door. One of them was banging on the plug to get it in the outlet. The delivery manager who happens to be the dispatcher too was extremely dismissive of our complaints. A deal was make for Dryer Vent cleanout for $100 on the next trip which would be part of the warranty, which was fine, it needed to be done anyways. The parts were ordered and it was prolly my fault they did not get back here for a couple of weeks, but I am also sure home warranty (AHS) was not in a hurry to spend money. So the second appointment was made and kept- but this is where the two stars begins, while the second guy was nice and such, he did not seem to understand that one can not just jam a tool in thinking everything comes a part the same way. I told him the other tech had to remove the door to get the front open, but he just kept trying to pry on it. He would eventually follow my suggestion saying he never seen one like that before. After he got it open, I left him to do some other work. I did not stick around to see how the repair went. I asked him about the Dryer Vent Cleanout which the other tech and I had worked out. His response was he did not have a vacuum with him. I was kinda bummed, because, I ended up hiring another company which overcharged me for the vent. My dryer on one side you can clearly feel where he jammed his screw driver in trying to pry something in which would not budge. I feel the second tech was not up to par.
