Habanero Rangoon and Caramelized Onion Burger
Zach G.

The food was incredible! But the service was so slow it was unbearable. I think honestly our ticket might have just gotten lost; and I'll definitely give it another try. But there were two 2 top tables that arrived after us, got their food and paid, all before we ever got our food. We were just a 3 top ourselves, not a large party. Our waitress said once our food was almost done... but not so sure that's true. Regardless, the appetizers were great, and the burger I got was good! The tap list wasn't super long, but a lot of good local selections.

Nothing but basil on the inside. Nothing filled in the middle. Just a spoon of cream cheese, a strawberry, and more basil

Not sure what happened with this restaurant. We used to get brunch from The Feve regularly but stopped after a while. The food was always great and we never had a disappointing experience until today. We placed our order and my husband went to pick it up. He mentioned that they were rude on the phone and he was met with the same rudeness in person. The breakfast burger was barely cooked there was almost raw on the inside. They barely had it tounch the grill. The pancakes I ordered were supposed to be "filled with new york style cheese cake, graham crackers, sweet basil & fresh strawberries." We got a basil pancake topped with a spoon of cream cheese and a strawberry. When we called the only thing the server offered was to fill another order. We're not driving 20 minutes to experience the rudeness.

Mushroom and onion sandwich

Cute little place! Tiny room but good food. Got the mushroom and onion sandwich- nice filling, bread kind ick. Got the raspberry martini- way too tart- tasted like pure lime. Do not recommend.

Decided to do a fun little day trip to Oberlin with my boyfriend. The town has a lot of quaint little stores, as well as beautiful areas around campus. Several store owners recommended that we eat here, so that's what we did. We were able to be seated right away which was nice. We both got burgers with fries for dinner, and they were excellent. FYI, this isn't the kind of place where they ask you how you want your burger cooked. They've already decided the best way for it to be served, and that's how they serve it. The fries were especially yummy! But the real star, in my opinion, was the spring roll appetizer. Hot, crunchy, delicious, just absolutely perfect!! I'd come back just for this appetizer! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I can see why this has been such a special place for my Obie for 3 years! I had my first meal at The Feve today and was so impressed by the quality of the food and the excellent service! Cool vibe, not too loud, attentive service, love the art on the walls. I got the soup plus vegetarian black bean hash and eggs- wow! My kid got the burger, beautiful!

Mondays are the day to go, with all-night happy hour upstairs and scads of draft beer choices. The burgers are fantastic!

This taqueria is open on Monday unlike many other local restaurants. The restaurant has a small patio with five tables. The interior contains festive bright orange walls and minimal decor. There are four tables and three high tops inside. They are pretty spread out so you can have a more private dinner with your company. During my dinner there were quite a few students who picked up to go orders, only a few people chose to dine in. The students seemed to be regulars. Guests self-order at the counter and sit wherever they want. You are served with 5-10 minutes at your table which is excellent. You can choose items from the kitchen or build your own (Chipotle style). Service is very friendly. Everyone is greeted upon entry. The wait staff seems to know many people by name. Students were trained as employees when I was in. They were trying very hard and were receiving very patient guidance. I feel confident that they'll do very well with service long-term. The food is okay but nothing to rave about to be very honest. If I was a college student, I would probably devour this food though. I ordered Street Taco Plate with 3 tacos (quesa birria with consume) with arroz rojo and black beans, Sweet Potato Fries (with queso sauce), and water. My grand total was $28.76 before tip. Street taco plate had tacos that were over-fried with meat that was too salty. They were just not too cohesive and too greasy for my liking. The black beans and rice were presented in the same container which made this combo too watery. The rice didn't taste all the way cooked through. Beans were actually pretty good and weren't falling apart. The side queso (upgrade of $2.50) was tasty but seemed to be standing out for a while and solidified a bit. The fries had a very generous serving, they were almost the size of my palm. I felt like for $6.50 (for the fries) it was a great value. They were a bit dry but pretty good. They also had aqua fresca but I opted in for water. I noticed that most people ordered tacos at other tables. Maybe other food choices are better. I didn't get through most of my food and didn't get it to go either. Lastly about parking. Street parking is available around the area. On a Monday there were many options, not sure about the weekend. Definitely make a day out of being in Oberlin when visiting this taqueria. The area is very walkable and has a lot of points of interest.

They also have street tacos and burritos. They seemed to have a nice selection of spicer salsas as well. I ordered a bowl. It costs extra for a meat option but it does come with a bag of chips. I felt like the portion was on the smaller side. It had good flavor with fresh ingredients.

I ordered a very reasonably priced beer and settled in as I awaited my burger and fries. They have a very extensive pub style menu, so there are options sure to satisfy just about everyone in your party. I ordered their brisket burger with a side of fries. When it arrived, I was blown away by the size! This brisket burger was pretty sloppy, but delicious...only knock was that the bun did not hold up well to all the toppings: beef patty, onion spread, bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, BBQ smoked brisket and a fried onion ring. It was however, cooked to a nice medium rare (just the way I like it). Also, the fresh cut fries were cooked just right and very crispy. Full to the gills, I made my way to the FLW house trying not to fall asleep from my heavenly food coma.

First walking through the doors, immediately you notice that Casa Fiesta is a most appropriate name. Not only were the colors festive and vibrant, the host quickly and wholeheartedly greeted us at the door. We instantly felt at home and welcomed. On my watch it was 1:50 Illinois time but in reality it was 3:00 Ohio time..... The wide variety of lunch specials were spectacular but it appeared we were too late as they ended at 2:00. Our server looked at my watch, said it's not 2:00 yet, go ahead and order what you'd like. Simply amazing! My wife ordered the chicken fajitas, I ordered the beef chimichanga. While waiting for the food to arrive we enjoyed excellent chips and salsa. When the food arrived, the servings were more than generous. Both orders came with salad, Spanish rice and refried beans. The food was excellent. For dessert we enjoyed homemade flan, my wife's favorite. The food and service was amazing! The only disappointment is this restaurant isn't closer to home, if it was we would surely make it a favorite. We would gladly recommend Casa Fiesta and look forward to dining here again in the future.
