This has been our local for as long as I can remember and has changed hands on a few occasssions. Whilst the current owner is better than the previous and the food is extremely tasty it still had it pit falls.
There is not a lot on offer so after a few visits you have probably eaten everything that's on the menu.
It's only small so not many tables for food and can get overcrowded.
I did my son's christening here and opted for a cold buffet and for £110 all I got was 2 plates of sandwiches, 2 plates of small sausages rolls and pork pies, 2 bowls of unsalted nuts and 2 bowls of plain crisps. I could have done a hell of a lot better myself for half the cost.
Overall I felt a little robbed and they made a healthy profit that day.
On a final notes through no fault of their own there has been drug use in the toilets on a couple of occasssions with the police being called. read more
