When I lived in the UK I was a successful well known actress who worked in theater and TV on TV for many years. During that time I did countless modeling and photo shoots and worked with top London stylists and leading make-up artists. So I think I know a good stylist when I find one. When I first came to LA in 2004, I went to several in Beverly Hills, etc...they were good, but then I stumbled across Lida and her team, completely by accident. I have never looked back. I've added my recent hair cut photos, please note, I don't color my hair anymore - decided to let the grey grow through, I am 60 now! This was my hair cut by Lida 6 weeks ago, just before my birthday in March. The real Lida talent is that 6 weeks later, I can wash my hair and go - the cut is so exemplary, I don't have to blow dry or use product to make it look great. This past weekend I drove up from the OC to Glendale literally just to see Lida and get my eyebrows brought back to life. I started going to her a couple years ago when I worked nearby but haven't been able to find anyone comparable to her since moving to the OC. I called about a week and a half before I wanted to come and yes, I should have called sooner since I can only drive up on Saturdays. The salon had a packed day with back to back clients but Lida was able to accommodate me and my brows and I am so grateful. She does amazing work every visit, I'm never disappointed. read more

During COVID review: they're open! Give Lida a call to make an appointment or before you decide to walk-in. She was able to take me in 30 minutes after I called. I think she does a fantastic job at shaping brows. I personally prefer waxing but threading is a close second best. Parking: Free 90 minutes in the parking garage located on Artsakh. Lida uses the threading method for eyebrow shaping. She will also trim with scissors. She's gotten many awards for years of eyebrow shaping. It is a full service salon and their prices are listed. Wow! All the reviews I read about Lida are accurate and more. I had been scared of trying a new threading salon due to my brows being butchered in the past by another salon.. It took me a long time to grow them and I knew walking around with a small bush on my face was not appealing. So I googled and yelped a new salon and Lida came up a few times. She was amazing! She worked around my schedule and was able to see me early the next day. I showed Lida a picture of the shape I thought would look good but I told her I trusted her expertise and experience. The final look blew me away, and it fits my face beautifully! If you need a new salon or looking for a new shape, you will not regret trying Lida. I found this chic and super friendly Eyebrow boutique totally random. I moved to Glendale from west side and was so happy to discover Lida's place. She is an amazing hairstylist as well. I went from long hair to short from one second to another. Lida did not need more time than that to persuade me that she knows what she is doing and she was totally right. My hair looks amazing and more important I feel great with my new hair! It is hard to find a great hairstylist in LA who actually knows what she/ he is doing. Second time here and I'm obsessed with the results. Lida's work is phenomenal but her personality makes you want to stay in her salon even when your work is done. I've been seeing Lida for my eyebrows for years and she's absolutely amazing. The shop is lovely and as soon as you walk through the big glass front doors you're welcomed like family! Recently, I had an event to attend and after my eyebrows were done, I said to Lida my eyebrows will look great but I have no idea what to do with my hair. I have never in my life gotten my eyebrows done, looked at them, and thought WOW ! My reaction is generally "nice. Thank you"., "great, thanks". As all any of them would do is tell me I have no shape and all they can do is just clean them. Since it seemed like thats the best response I would get from all of them, I just accepted it. In come Lida, now mind you I have not had anyone touch my eyebrows in 4 months ( due to covid ) I had just been "cleaning" It myself to the best of my abilities. She was going at my eyebrows so fast and for so long with tweezers.. just plucking from all over the place.. that for a minute there I thought she was about to make me bald ( I'd never had anyone pluck hair from the places she was aiming lol ) she did also keep saying "your shape is here, i just have to find it. I have never seen anything like this before" I'm just laying there laughing because i know I have super odd eyebrows ( they're boxy, the hair is thin, and they have no arch whatsoever, also the hair goes in different directions ) I just kept thinking to myself, this is either going to end really well, or I'm going to end up with some weird bald eyebrows, again, since no one else has ever gone at it like this with them. Once she finished she just a pencil to fill them in a bit and voila. When I looked and saw... I was honestly in awe.. i had never seen my eyebrows look so good. I had to call my biggest critic .. my sister. As soon as she saw my eyebrows she confirmed what I already thought myself... "that is the best your eyebrows have ever looked". Im 33 and have been getting my eyebrows done since I was 13. It took 20 years to find someone who do my eyebrows properly and make them look good. This will forever be my eyebrow place. I had been coloring my own hair for a while and alas, it had gotten way too dark. I needed a change and some professional help. Enter the eye boutique and the lovely owner, Lida. Lida was as patient, kind, and professional as can be and took me gently from almost black hair to a beautiful chestnut brown with caramel highlights. With zero damage!! And for a reasonable price.
