Needless to say, it always looked crooked and sloppy. I never wanted my eyebrows tattooed because the ones I've seen on people end up looking blue and weird. But I started looking into micro blading after I had my 3rd child and I just felt and looked...bedraggled (see before pic ). I literally researched and obsessed over who to see and if I should even do it. Then along comes my amazing local mom's group who recommend over half a dozen artists in LA for microblading. I tried to do this without considering the cost even though we're on a super tight budget because I wanted to find the best person for the look I was going for and save up. You see, I had my eyeliner done by a makeup artist in Chicago who had "experience" with microblading. Long story short she tattooed below the lash line so the numbing agent didn't take and I felt EVERY STROKE. One side was partially done and the other side barely showed any liner. It took hours and hours and it hurt like crazy. I should mention that I have a dozen regular tattoos and am accustomed to tattoo pain... I finally settled on Christen at Brow Tendre and it was the best thing I ever did. The process was painless and she has the most amazing, gentle touch. I fell asleep twice during the brows and we talked like old friends unless it was time for me to shut my trap and get purdy! She knew my history with skin numbing issues and was patient, gentle and kind throughout the whole thing. I loved my brows so I went back for eyeliner too. I do have one regret though--I SHOULDA GONE TO CHRISTEN YEARS AGO!!! Thank you Christen, I wake up everyday looking fresh and rested--even if I'm not.

I follow this page on IG, and finally decided to try them. When I checked the website there were no…read moreappointments for when I needed but they did also say they take walk-ins. I decided to text the business, to see if there were any cancellations and they responsed so quickly and very professional (which is a rare fine already these days). Just my luck there was an open appointment, and I booked with IVY whom I wanted to see. The shop is very clean, and modern minimal style which is right up my alley. I was greeted right when I came in, and actually taken right away. I told her I was a first time customer, and IVY took the time to ask me questions about what I wanted for my eyebrows. She even asked me if I was okay with starting me while she finishing tinting someone else (I appreciate she gave me the option, and I didnt mind her going between both of us) Everything was a 10/10. The way she mapped my eyebrows, the conversation/music we were listening too. She checked in with me during every step to make sure I was comfortable, and happy. I would definitely go back for tinting after talking to IVY about them. After the shaping, she asked me if I wanted them filled in as well (she even offered if I wanted to watch her to do it step by step). I actually really loved my eyebrows, with the fill in & with out. The prices was $35 for threading, + $2.00 card fee. Thank you IVY, I will be back. Already got a few compliments on my eyebrows!

An awkward first experience. I walked in at 4:59 for my 5:00 appt. Two workers were there and one…read moreworking on a client. The workers were talking about a tik tok. One girl complimented my hair and didn't say anything further. The other girl hadn't looked up from her phone. I sat down awkwardly waiting. It took until 5:09 for her to look up and ask me if I had an appt. She sat me down immediately, did not introduce herself and continued talking to the other worker. She started mapping my brows with no communication and started getting the thread ready and then she said "wait what do you want to do with your brows?". we talked about lamination and she put the gel on, then she had asked if I used retinol, she didn't make sure before. She was supposed to give me aftercare oil but also forgot. The chairs were the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat in. Overall my brows look okay but customer service was lacking Edit: owner Danielle offered a complimentary redo or full refund. she explained the situation and offered an apology. I appreciate her taking the time to reach out to me.
