So happy that we found this place!! My mom and I were in town from MD to see Sight and Sound and we came across this place on TikTok (I'm a sucker for a rooftop vibe!). This place did not disappoint, it was even better in person! Very swanky place and the panoramic views were incredible. The food though!! We ordered the mushroom pizza and added some caramelized onions and cauliflower to it - OMG. Some of the best pizza I've ever had and I am a true pizza lover so that's saying a lot. Also got the crispy sweet potatoes, yum! For drinks we got the special which was like a lemon drop but different (can't remember the name) and it was so good. The presentation of everything was on point and our server was fabulous and very friendly. We could not stop raving about this place and we will be back to experience the outside rooftop when it's warm outside again!!

We visited The Exchange during a recent trip to Downtown Lancaster and LOVED IT! This 12th-floor rooftop spot inside the Marriott has the kind of panoramic views you don't often see. Church steeples, historic rooftops, and rolling hills of Amish Country in the distance. We came right before sunset after a rainy day and scored a perfect seat by the window. The view was magical! The food is mostly small plates and pizza, but it was delicious. We loved the Calabrian Chili Wings (crispy with the perfect kick), the Crispy Baby Artichokes (huge portion, great aioli), and the Spicy Crab Bucatini (so much crab, cooked perfectly). Cocktails were creative. Try the Mezcolada and the Elixir #2! Our server Jozlyn was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and knew the menu very well. Her pacing was perfect and she made great recommendations. It's not cheap, but for the atmosphere, quality, and service, it's totally worth it. Whether you're planning date night or just want drinks with a view, this is a must-do in Lancaster. Search "The Exchange onbetterliving" for our full review!

I can't speak to the food, but I will say that the craft cocktails are definitely on point. Well made cocktails - you can taste the appropriate level of alcohol. Little breezy outside, but inside was very cool and the view is outstanding.

Went to visit downtown Lancaster. What a nice area. Everything is so clean. This rooftop bar is definitely worth checking out. I think it was one of the nicest (if not the nicest) Rooftop I have been on. They have an inside which has an open kitchen setup . There is a large chandelier that is absolutely gorgeous inside. There is a bar as well that is inside and outside on the roof deck. The inside bar has an open set up so you can still see the full outdoor bar. The outdoor bar has an amazing view of the city. The outdoor bar had a ton of fire pits as well. We sat at the bar. The server was really quick and friendly. We got a cider which was pretty good and a non-alcoholic beverage. The N/A Moodswing was pretty good. It tasted a bit like a raspberry tea. They have this interesting blue ice block that didn't seem to change the color of the drink. The bartender said if we would have left it for a long long time we would have eventually seen the blue ice cubes change the color of the drink. The blue ice cube was a Blue Butterfly Pea Tea Cube which was quite odd and interesting.

This was my first time ever hanging out in Lancaster and I was definitely surprised to see that they have a place like this! The Exchange is a beautiful rooftop bar/restaurant with stunning views. We sat outside, where they have heaters throughout to keep you warm. However, the views from inside are also great as they have giant windows. I can't speak to the food because I didn't order any, but the drinks were very delicious, plenty of options to choose from and they weren't too strong nor were they watered down. Service was a little slow but we were in no rush and our server was very nice.

WOW! My husband and I came here for the start of our date night and we wish we wouldn't have left. The views, even from inside, were awesome. Such a chill but sophisticated atmosphere. There's a cute bar area but I love the "lounge" like seating throughout. The service was fantastic from start to finish. The food - wow! I loved the twist they did on the olives and what a great portion! The loaded fries were so good and that sauce I could have put on anything. The charcuterie board was a HUGE portion. I thought prices were fair and we can't wait to go back.

We had great service here but I would recommend making a reservation. The rooftop lounge has amazing views of downtown and creates the perfect backdrop. The decor on the inside is very modern and trendy. The drinks were just okay but for the environment I would have expected more. Overall nice location with friendly staff

This spot is a great like after work or just want to hang roof top bar. They have like a cool lounge bar with a sports bar feel almost cause of the TVs. They do have a full bar but almost make custom drinks. The drinks were good and a nice balance. I thought the night we went the service was kinda slow. This place is attached to the Marriott hotel if you are staying there. So great location.

We had a great time experiencing The Edge Rooftop in Lancaster P.A. We didn't have any food, only drinks and the drinks were good. The view was great, very nice at night. The ambiance was a great Saturday night vibe. Music was ok, but overall, it was a good experience. Our host was very nice and joyful. She made sure our drinks were good. She took good care of us, and Tha k you very much, Sara D.

We loved the Exchange! While the star was the view, the food is a perfect compliment. This visit was earlier in the year, but even though it wasn't too cold, our server was kind enough to offer us a blanket. Everything was delicious, and we overall had a great time. If you're visiting Lancaster, this is a great place to go to fuel your day and to overlook the beautiful town!

If you want a real treat, come on up to the sunny side rooftop. Come in just before sunset and catch a beautiful view of downtown Lancaster! Also, the food here rocks! We had the crab beignets and the pickle brined chicken nuggets. Both were spectacular! The appetizer of pickle brined chicken was so juicy, you have to hold them over your plate. The beignets were like small fried crab cakes. We also had a Quattro Fromaggio wood fired pizza and added pepperoni to it. That was one of the best pepperoni pizzas I've had in a long time. The beer was delicious with 5 craft choices and 20 or so canned selections. Cam was our waiter and he was spot on, welcoming, and attentive. If you are downtown, or staying in the Penn Station Marriott, this is your place for the sunset. Try it, you'll like it.

The Exchange is a really nice place to get drinks and some light food. The atmosphere and location of the establishment really is what draws people to want to come here or try here for the first time. I'm not all that impressed by the place, but I'm sure many people would say otherwise just strictly based on the aesthetics. Food: Expensive and small portioned. Don't get the beef skewer/steak pieces (see picture) from the appetizers/small plates because not only was it INCREDIBLY tough to chew and bite through it was super dry and bland. I almost left it there completely untouched but I took it home out of respect...then put it outside for the animals to eat. Unfortunately that was an expensive dish and it didn't taste good at all. Pizza was good, we ate that...again just expensive for the portion you get. The wrap dish (again, see picture) was also very good and we enjoyed that very much. There really wasn't that much to choose from as for "meals" ...based on previous reviews from years ago, their menu was a little more "meal" filled and now it's just small plates that really aren't meals Drinks: we didn't order any crazy drinks but no complaints from the drinks we did order. Got our drinks fast. Atmosphere: quite loud and beautiful inside. The chairs were kind of weird and it was super cold in there despite it not being that warm outside that night. Outdoor section wasn't open...I think I would've preferred to sit outside and have a heater than sit inside and freeze Service: waitress was super nice and no complaints here. She was bustin her butt the entire night, I saw two people on the floor serving food and that was it Would I come back here? Probably not. I came here for a date night with my boyfriend and would rather go to a place like the Belvedere or Press Room. Beautiful place, great view, mediocre/low food to cost quality IMO.

Is there outdoor seating? If so, are they dog friendly?

Yes. This is a rooftop restaurant, there is outdoor & indoor seating. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that they only allow assistance dogs.

    Do they take reservations?

No and even if you have a larger party and some get to go up, they will still make the others wait downstairs even if you tell them you have a party already there.… Read more

    Is there parking?

Not specifically for the restaurant. If you can find a street spot then take it otherwise you can park in the parking garage Marriott uses (for a fee) or use Marriott Valet Parking in front of the hotel.

The vibe leans goth, with a definite metal/punk edge rather than a tightly curated "theme bar" look. It's not as uniformly designed as the name might suggest, but it is interesting and cohesive enough to feel intentional. During brunch, the space is well-lit, and they keep the heavy metal/thrash/punk soundtrack going at a very low volume, exactly the right choice. It supports the aesthetic without turning brunch into a performance. The food is the reason to come. The menu is built around the seven deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, etc.), and everything we tried was outstanding. Between the two of us we had Lust and Gluttony, and both were excellent, high quality, well-executed, and clearly made with care. Service was solid: efficient, reasonably quick, and professional. Not overly chatty, but attentive enough that you don't feel ignored. Drinks were fine. The mimosa and Bloody Mary were exactly what you'd expect: competent and enjoyable, nothing gimmicky. Logistics are also manageable for a downtown spot. Parking exists in the area, including garages nearby, and it's a comfortable walk if you're already in the city center. Overall: a fun, slightly offbeat atmosphere paired with genuinely great brunch food. If you like a darker aesthetic but still want a bright, relaxed daytime meal, Coffin Bar is an easy recommendation.

When we were seated, we were given the prix fixe food menu but never provided with a drink menu. We were served water, but our waitress didn't ask if we'd like cocktails, wine, or any featured Valentine's drinks. For a special occasion dinner, that felt like a major oversight. The bigger issue, though, was the food. Several courses were noticeably undercooked and difficult to enjoy. The carrot salad had hard, undercooked carrots and a very bitter sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The grilled Badger Flame beets were also undercooked and had an unpleasant flavor. The beet risotto was firm and lacked the creamy consistency you expect from a properly prepared risotto. The halibut tasted overly fishy and seemed undercooked in the center. For $75 per person on Valentine's Day, we expected a polished, thoughtfully executed experience. Instead, the meal felt poorly prepared and not worth the price. We were seated immediately and warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. At one point another server even recognized us from a previous date at The Exchange -- are we becoming regulars already? Lol. Wilson was our server and was wonderfully patient as we took our time deciding what to order while getting to know each other better. It happened to be jazz night, which added a relaxed, intimate vibe in the background and made for a really enjoyable Thursday evening. We started with the whipped feta dip, which was creamy, tangy, and just slightly sweet -- the kind of appetizer that's hard to stop dipping into once you start. For dinner I chose the Duck and Saucisson Bolognese. The sauce was rich and deeply savory, with tender duck folded into a hearty, slow-simmered ragù that clung beautifully to the pasta. My date ordered the Roasted Butternut Squash and Tuscan Kale Spaghetti, which struck a great balance of sweet and earthy flavors -- the squash adding a natural sweetness while the kale brought a slightly rustic bite that kept the dish from feeling too heavy.
