Great service, not so great food. Nachos were something I could have made 100% better at home. Ordered one of the "restaurant favorite" pizzas and was highly disappointed. Overall 3/10, definitely just go somewhere else for food. Drinks weren't good either. Mixer was completely flat, seems like the bartender just used an old opened can. Never got to try the food. Stopped in here to give it a try at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. Sat at a high top in the not busy bar area. Took 10 minutes for someone to come give us menus and place settings. Another 5 for her to come back and take a drink order. Hostess said a server would be right over. After 15 minutes of trying to get the bartender's attention, we gave up and left. Put a few dollars on the table to cover our drinks. My husband let the hostess know no one ever came over and the response was "oh, I can take your order now if you want (on our way out). All set, thanks! Dined recently at The Establishment. Started out good while sitting at the bar. Got water and drinks served right away, as it was not busy. From there, it went downhill. Waited and waited for the servor to return. Finally had to go get a manager so we could order food. My wife and I split a Caesar and a pizza. First visit to this new Chelmsford sports bar. Waitress Tori was very personable. My friend and I each ordered a bowl of chili which came with tortilla chips chili was very good. I thought the portion was very small for $6.99 we split a large order of chicken tenders very dry with no flavor dipping sauces were good specially the homemade barbecue which helped mask the sub-par Quality of the chicken. This was the worse service I've ever had. Josh never came over and we pretty much had to beg for drinks from another waiter. They should hire more staff but then again it wasn't even busy so I'm not sure what the problem was. When we asked for our check it was 20 minutes to get our checks then another 15 minutes for him to come get our card. It was so bad I downloaded this app to write this review. He made a mistake and spilt our drinks which is fine it happens, but then he handed us our drinks that were spilled and dripping wet and did not even wipe off the drinks. Food was okay. Very disappointing! When you walk in, the place is beautiful, but it was all but empty, this, just a little after 1:00, now I know why. I had Chicken Parmesan and it truly tasted like it came from a school cafeteria or diner. The sauce was really unpleasant and it was burnt on the bottom. They only offer 3 types of pasta, spaghetti is not one of them. I chose the Angel hair, but the waitress came out and told me they had run out of it!?! How does that happen when the entire dining room is empty, except for our party and one other? My boyfriends haddock was very mushy and tasted "very fishy". The mashed potatoes had way too many skins in them, leading to a bad texture. I will never return. I remember when it was the Bainbridge, which used to have excellent food! read more

Went there yesterday with another couple that I had told that I had a good meal the first time I had eaten there. It was a Sunday and the restaurant area was empty and the bar area was half full. Our waitress was very cordial so this is not about her. It was the food !! All four of us ordered the steak tips and the mashed potatoes, my wife ordered the mixed vegetables also with her meal. We all ordered medium rare on the steak tips. Well that's not how they came out to us. All four were supposed to be the same but every plate was different with one plate with 4 tips, another with 6 tips, one with 5 tips and so on. The tips were incinerated (literally) to beyond well done. They were less than a half inch thick and tough as shoe leather. The potatoes were stone cold and thick as plaster. My wife's vegetables were cold also. After this meal, I will think twice about recommending this place to others. If your going to run a restaurant cater to all customers not just the bar crowd and be consistent with your food !! read more

lunch recently.....this has always been a gorgeous facility, big high beams and old industrial fans and a river next door, and a railroad too....looks pretty much the same thought there are now big tvs everywhere so it looks rather like a sports bar than the nice restaurant it used to be.....we have been here as 3 or maybe 4 different restaurants...we ate at the bar and got the menu which consisted of 10 items (what) and asked to see a dinner menu which was rather extensive, well we were here so we decided to go ahead and stay rather than just having a drink and heading elsewhere.....but then some additional folks entered and THEY GOT BOTH MENUS!!! so asked the waitress and she said whoops and i cancelled my order and reordered from the larger menu....service was ok and attentive.....food was good, soup excellent and salad very good and chicken parm good with an abundance of pasta, drinks were good.....so too bad the help is not familiar with the menus, food was good, place lovely, though better without the sports bar look.....ok!! read more

I got to try The establishment after they took over Apriles European recently. Hosts and servers were very friendly and accommodating. The food was good. The venue hasn't changed other than more TVs mounted to the ceiling. A beautiful building in itself. I will return soon. read more

The service was very good. Our waitress, Taylor, was fantastic. Great personality! We had the haddock and steak tips (both recommended by Taylor). Both meals were excellent. We had a reservation and were seated immediately...Had appetizers and beverages...then pizza and dinners...after dinner we had a dessert and coffee...we were presented the check ...paid our bill and gave the waitress a $100.00 tip for her good service and told her to buy something special for herself for Christmas...Food was average fare..within minutes an extremely rude waitress came to the table and started to aggressively clear our plates from the table...she spilled water all over the table and my son's pants... then started stacking plates so high that they fell and spilled food all over the chair I was sitting next to and food splattered on my coat, it will need cleaning...she never apologized and stomped off without even cleaning up the mess...we had been sitting and socializing over our coffee...We got up...Left the restaurant and will never return... read more

My husband and I had dinner here tonight. My birthday was this past week and I wanted to go someplace I hadn't been before. This place was perfect. Everyone went out of their way to make us happy and the food was delicious. Prices were on target. Greg greeted us and changed the TV to what we needed (Keno screen) and Janelle waited on us. If my review were based on the atmosphere and space I'd give it 5 stars. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed the way this place looked and where it was situated (in an old mill building). I love lofts, exposed brick, exposed ducts and wood beams and this place didn't disappoint. I think my wife got tired of hearing me say how cool the space was. As others have said on here...our server was also very friendly and and as fast as the place would allow (it's so big and so crowded that getting drinks takes a while) so we didn't blame him for that. I will also agree with another review in that the fans on the ceiling (which were really cool I might add) really did make the space chilly but I'd rather be chilly than hot. Next time I'll bring a sweater. My only complaint would be that there were TVs everywhere...even in the booths. If you don't like visual noise you might want to stay away. As for the food...I really can't remember if it was good or bad which means that it was sort of bland and forgettable. I'd say it was sort of glorified pub food. The food needs some work but I would go back if only to check the place out again, watch some sports and have a couple brews. read more

Service was poor - trays were dropped, wrong food orders put in, steak was burnt and waited over an hour for food. People around us complained to managers. Staff was quick to fix mistakes however too many mistakes were made at our table and other tables around us. This young staff needs more time and training to get it right. They server we had was new and should never have been assigned a large group. Went there a few weeks ago, the food was amazing, the ribs fell off the bone and the buffalo mac n cheese was great, Steak tips were a little tough but ok. Went back New Years Eve, like a total different restaurant. The ribs were burnt and not juicy at all, the mac n cheese was dry and the steak tips were burnt and dry. Had lunch at this restaurant a few weeks ago and mixed reviews on it. We decided to give them a second chance on New Years Eve with a party of 10. Reservations were made in advance and while we were seated promptly, everything thereafter went downhill. Wait staff walked around us for 15 minutes and no one offered us water or a drink menu. We had to ask them! Entrees consisted of a mixture of dishes, but those that ordered Steak Tips were disappointed as they asked for medium and they got well done. Chicken Parm came on Penne Pasta, not Angel Hair as menu said and was tasteless/no seasonings. All Mixed drinks are served in whiskey glasses, including Margaritas. They've only been open a few days, and I was only there to meet a friend for a drink, so I can't yet comment on the food. Service was prompt and friendly. But the new ambiance....ugh. As noted by another reviewer, this is a renovated mill building, beautifully done. The dining room is a magnificent space. But... The new owners have placed large-screen TVs everywhere. The bar has a continuous wall of large screens over it. Every wall has multiple screens. EVERY BOOTH has a big screen looming over it. A newspaper article on their opening says there are 48 of them. Really. It's rather amazing. I mean I've been in sports bars, but I've never seen anything like this. There are TV screens everywhere. They're big. They would be an intrusion in the space if they were all off. I wish them luck, but this big space, lit by the flashing glow of multiple programs playing simultaneously on so many screens...not my thing. Maybe they'll attract a whole new, really different set of patrons. read more

Great food, great atmosphere, and great style. The location is inside a mill style building built with giant old fashioned fans which is unique. I ordered french onion soup with chicken parm which was well made. Our server adam also provide us with a great experience. Overall it was a good experince. read more
