If you're anywhere near Sand City, do yourself a favor and stop by Untamed Fire…read more I wandered in after a psychic reading to pick up a couple of things that had come up during my session, and somehow I walked out with so much more. The moment I approached the store, I was greeted by Augie, Lynette's sweet pup, and then by Lynette herself--who, by the way, has the most gorgeous violet hair. I found everything I was looking for (and then some), but what made this visit unforgettable had nothing to do with crystals or candles. Lynette made me a cup of tea, we chatted about how she opened this store and what kept her going, and within minutes I felt completely at ease... welcomed, included, and genuinely cared for. She shared that what keeps her going is the incredible sense of community she's built through the store and the beautiful souls who walk through her doors. But I'm not sure she realizes she's the heart of it all. Her warmth, kindness, and authenticity are what make this place feel so magical. Untamed Fire isn't just a metaphysical shop--it's one of those rare places that makes you want to slow down, breathe, and listen to what your soul is quietly reaching for. Huge shoutout to Lynette for creating such a beautiful space. If you visit, go with an open heart. You never know what your soul might be drawn to.

Very clean and organized store. Very chill customer service. There was a sale going on, buy one 50 percent off of all clothing. I grabbed a skirt and a shirt that were super cute for the summer! I'm not a big crystals or incense kinda person but the clothing and backpacks were what attracted me to this store. It's a cute touristy store on cannery row that is worth checking out!

I was a little surprised they even sold squishy toys since most of the items in the store aren't geared toward kids. A few stores down, we found the exact same squishy for $12.95. I thought, "Oh well, it happens," and didn't think much of paying a little more. But when my daughter was about to open it, I noticed the box wasn't factory sealed. It had been closed with two pieces of Scotch tape. The moment I opened it, I knew she'd been scammed. The squishy was dusty, and half of the ink from one of its eyes had transferred onto the bottom of the toy. It looked like someone had already played with it, decided they didn't want it, put it back in the box, and the store resold it as new. So not only did they charge more than the store just a few doors down, but they also sold us what appeared to be a used toy. That was really disappointing, especially for something meant for a child.

Bonnie and everything she makes (!! On site!!) are so darn cool and magical. Her shop is tucked away in a little nook between downtown Carmel and a residential neighborhood, so it might be easy to miss. Absolutely walkable from anywhere you park, of course, and 100% worth the visit even if you don't buy anything! I wish I asked more about the teas and remedies she makes, but she has so many of them targeting any ailment a human could possibly have. I was more interested in her candles (my guilty hoarding pleasure) because I love crystals and their meanings. Her smaller ones in the gold vessels are $52 and larger ones in locally made pottery are at least $150 I believe. Everything she offers is on her website except her beautiful candles since they sell so fast! My friend had her eyes on a pink quartz candle, but I said we can come back right before it closes if she's still thinking about it then. Of course we went back, and she actually fell in love with a different candle! ...and I did too. I first saw one with dominos that looked cool, but when we came back I saw one with a lapis egg. Bonnie had just made it that afternoon and set them on the display. We both LOVE the joy and peace our candles bring us :) Truly straight out of a fairy tale, the tiny spell shop by the sea!
