I want to give this gym 5 stars because I really enjoy the instructors, especially Melissa…read more However, I had a terrible experience with the front staff recently and now I'll never be going back there. I became an elite (8 monthly classes) member over the holiday. I bought a couple 30 pack classes prior to joining with the 8 classes. I asked the gentleman at the front desk (Sean) to please add me to the class because I hadn't signed up. I then asked if he could make sure it comes off my Elite 8 pack that expires, and not the 30 class pack that has no expiration, as this has been an issue for me the past month. Sean then stated that this is done at your home studio. I simply explained that this has actually happened before (at N. Reading and Assembly Row) and that I know it needs to be fixed at N. Reading. Sean then turns the computer screen to me and says, I've worked here for 4 years there's no where for me to change it. I again explained, I'm not sure how it was done prior but it is always done at the gym I signed up for the class. Sean then says "do I need to remove you from class?" Shocked, I asked for what? As I opened my phone to check to see if the class was pulled from my Elite or 30 pack. Sean responds, "Are you having a bad day?" When I saw the class came off my Elite I just walked away. All I can say is WOW... I've worked in the fitness industry for a very long time. I worked as a front desk staff for YEARS and I've never spoken to or had anyone speak to me as rudely as this gentleman. I was so upset, I couldn't even work off my anger and ended up leaving class early. I truly hope this is not how you train your staff. Especially when I was just concerned about losing a class. In the future you might want to train your staff to kindly ask the members to check the application first to make sure the class was pulled wrong. You also might want to train your staff on how to fix this if and when it happens to someone else.

I loved this gym for about a year. Fully drank the koolaid, had monthly unlimited memberships, posted obnoxiously on my instagram stories, participated in all of the challenges they ran. Loved it! The coaches were amazing, body positive, people who would push you in the most uplifting way. Especially Chrys and Kristen. Fast forward to COVID. As things started reopening, corporate sent out an emailing with the tone of "we are here for you when you are ready, let us know if you aren't via email/phone" same day I received it, I emailed back to the studio detailing how we have an immunocompromised person in our quaranteam and I can't risk it- and to count me out. Then, months later in a FB group I saw someone comment that they'd been charged. It appears this happened to multiple members. That cued me to check my credit card statements and I noticed a charge for July and August. I contacted the studio and they blamed the old management and that they had no record of me cancelling. (It didn't raise any suspicion as they are charging all of these accounts who aren't ever coming in and using their classes?) I fwded them the email I sent and they didn't care. They eventually refunded one of the two charges but say since it took me "over a month" to realize the July charge, there was nothing they could do for me. What's worse than gaining weight during a pandemic? Still paying $109 for OTF. Turns out, all of my favorite people there were fired/left when management was changed completely during COVID.

The classes are challenging but fun and engaging. I love the small group atmosphere and it's been fun getting to know other members and becoming a part of the community. The best part is that Ashely gets to know everyone personally and he will push you outside your comfort zone if he knows you are capable of more but will also give you modifications for any exercise that you need. I've lost weight, noticed my clothes fitting better and have gotten into a much better exercise and healthy eating routine. I've also gotten a lot stronger and built muscle which is something I struggled to do on my own. After a long day at work, I actually look forward to going to Core Cardio and working out. I'd definitely recommend it!
