During an urgent dentist visit (Thu afternoon), one of the three dentists at our local dentist's practice diagnosed that I needed a root canal. The staff there managed to get me an appt for Fri afternoon for both a consult & the actual root canal procedure. As it turns out, the dentist who saw me (not the one that I normally see) was a student of Dr Wang & had really good things to say about him.
The lady who processed my paperwork had already talked to my insurance company & had determined my level of coverage for each line item on the estimate (a few were not covered by my insurance, but most were). She was friendly & efficient.
The staff who participated in the procedure were all very friendly & answered all my questions (probably not surprised at them though maybe amused since I had advised them that I was a retired engineer.
Dr Wang tried to be as painless as possible including during the numbing process. Once we got into the procedure, he discovered that I was one of a small minority of their patients who needed more numbing than most. He stopped, gave me some more numbing agent & ensured that he could proceed without causing me discomfort. When he got done, Dr Wang told me that I had fallen asleep several times & when I advised him that the tooth pain had caused me to sleep poorly the last few nights, he advised me that I would sleep well tonight.
I hope that I never need another root canal, but if I do, I would absolutely go back to Dr Wang. read more
