Convenient and got me in the same day, provider was helpful (initially). They did not perform the RCT completely and I had to get a second treatment spending $$$$. When I went back they dismissed the pain and told me to keep taking antibiotics and ibuprofen. I only got relief when I got the procedure done again. read more

Terrible management. Went for a root canal evaluation a year ago sometimes around early 2020, paid all the fees and didn't choose to receive their treatment. However, last month a year after 6/2021, I received a bill for $100. I called them and told them that I'm no longer working with the same employer and don't have the same insurance. Their office said " their management has changed and the missed to bill me timely and therefore I have to pay them". I asked to speak with the doctor and that was not an option. All they do is make excuses of their own mismanagement and fake apologies. If you don't want to receive a surprise bill a year or two after your visit and be threatened to be sent to collection agency, avoid going to this place and go somewhere else. read more

Run as fast as you can from this dental practice. It took four trips for them to do a root canal on one tooth. This was after I got a second opinion and had to bring back the information so they would know what to do next. They also cracked my crown and their only response was "don't worry it will be fine". I went to my trusted dentist, Dr. Jacqueline Strempek, for a broken crown and she decided that I needed a specialist to perform a difficult root canal. That turned out to be a wise decision. Dr. Ayik specializes in root canals and other difficult dental needs. Within 10 minutes of leaving my dentist's office and travelling across the street, Dr. Ayik was examining my tooth. Most people have three roots on molars but my troublesome molar had four roots. Dr. Ayik quickly took care of all four roots. I endured a root canal years ago from another dentist and it was horrible. However, Dr. Ayik completed my root canal in less than half an hour, including the time needed to deaden the tooth. The X-rays showed that he took care of each of the four roots. He prescribed pain medication and, though I filled the prescriptions, I never needed anything for pain, not even an aspirin. If you want dental work done right, but don't like spending a lot of time in the dental chair, then you will love Dr. Ayik. Dr. Ayik is serious, yet personable. He explained what he was doing as he progressed, but wasn't overly talkative. He specializes in endodontics, and his expertise shows through his work. I was also impressed with both of the assistants who worked with Dr. Ayik. Assistants can make the difference between an okay visit and a great visit. Shanae and Amy both did fine work and made me feel at ease. Shanae has worked for Dr. Ayik for over 6 years, while Amy has worked for him for more than 7 years. I was referred to Woodhill Endodontics on 12/07/20 for an overbite issue after I received a root canal. After being seen & evaluated by Dr. M. Ayik he did adjustments on the crown and advised that the tooth was still very infected. The plan was to redo the root canal. He drilled a hole in the crown and treated the tooth with antibiotics for two weeks. On the next visit the same process was repeated with antibiotic treatment. On the third visit I was told by Dr. M. Ayik that the tooth was not savable. I was referred to an oral surgeon at Woodhill Endodontics, Dr. T. Williams to extract the tooth. During the consultation I was told that I would need to be put to sleep to pull the tooth and I would need an implant which according to the dental office my insurance would not cover. I was told the root canal would need to be completed before the extraction could be done. On March 2, 2021 Dr. Aiyak completed the root canal. I had the tooth extracted on 6-28-21 and the tooth still had the root attached, was still infected and it was broken below the gum line which would explain the continued pain and issues I was having. The tooth was extracted by another Dentist not affiliated with Woodhill Endodontics because I did not want to be put to sleep for an extraction. After speaking to my insurance provider I found out that my benefits did cover implants. I have concluded Woodhill Endodontics is about milking your benefits and trying to get money from the Patient by giving false information about what is covered. Dr. Ayik should have seen the tooth was broken below the gumline on the x-rays and was not salvageable on the first visit. I feel like I was taken through unnecessary treatments and pain and suffering. The visits were for nothing more than insurance payments. read more

I had a sensitive tooth so my dentist told me to see an endodontist. I went to Dr. Ayik and he performed a root canal on my right-most bottom molar. The entire procedure was completely pain-free. In fact, I could say with confidence that it was less painful than a filling. I didn't need any pain medication or relief after the procedure, and the sensitivity from before went away right after he finished. Dr. Ayik was thorough and answered all of my questions, leaving me assured that I was in knowledgeable hands. His office staff was very pleasant as well. I went to my general dentist, who quickly identified the need for not one but two root canals! She referred me to Dr. Ayik at Woodhill Endodontics and I was scheduled for an evaluation within a few days. The initial consultation was thorough and upfront. I really appreciated Dr. Ayiks calm, collected and extremely relatable approach. Just upon arrival, the administrative staff set a warm and welcoming tone, which feels like is lacking at so many businesses these days. The dental assistant (whose name I didn't capture because of the extreme nerves) was equally personable and really eased my mind during the procedure. The root canals took about 25-30 minutes each and I felt ZERO pain or discomfort. In fact, when he finished the first one, I turned to him and said "You're awesome!", as I was so incredibly surprised. This is one of those procedures that everyone is ready to share a horror story about. Don't believe the hype and make sure you go see this incredible doctor and staff. I might be leaving town soon and I'd consider flying back to see him if I ever need another root canal...it was THAT great of an experience. read more

If comfort, compassion, and empathy are important to you, I don't recommend Dr. Ayik. I met him in the late fall of last year (2015); I found him online. He was in-network with my insurance and close to my home. I had a root canal retreatment of a molar as was recommended by my general dentist. I had no pain or symptoms prior to visiting Dr. Ayik. During the visit for the retreatment, I was not comfortable; the way that he performed the dental block was a little rough, but I decided to go on with my business, as I was glad to have the treatment out of the way and figured that I'd never have to go back to his office. I was wrong. Approximately 4 months later, I noticed a tender lump on the gum adjacent to the tooth that was treated. My general dentist suspected a problem with the tooth that was treated and referred me back to Dr. Ayik. Initially, I was told that I'd need an apicoectomy to save the tooth, but during the visit for the apicoectomy, I was told that the tooth was fractured and could not be saved. I was upset and literally cried in the office. When I had questions for Dr. Ayik, he was very defensive and rude. As a health care provider (he was unaware of this at the time), I recognize that there are no guarantees, but my experience was less than ideal and my treatment ended with a worse problem. Now, I'm on antibiotics and am also consulting with my general dentist to plan for extraction and dental implantation, which means that I'll be out of more money and will likely need more time off from work to get to get them done. Not to mention, I have a (pricey) porcelain crown on this tooth that will have to be discarded. read more

Never thought I'd give a dentist 5 stars but this place is great. Everyone is so nice, I had to have a root canal and had the first part yesterday. They explained as much as I wanted to hear, made the event non-eventful and I'm not dreading going back for the rest of the root canal. Dr Ayik was good, his assistant was good and the front desk was really nice. A great place over all. And in spite of my initial concern about the green screen thingy, it worked, I could breathe and swallow just fine - that's always my concern at a dentist office. I was in need of a lovely little root canal and was recommended Dr. Ayik. The people at the office were friendly and my wait was super short. The actual root canal process itself was also pretty fast. I'd say about 20-30 min. I had asked friends how painful it would be and was somewhat scared lol. Surprisingly, the process with Dr. Ayik was minimally painful. The only pain I experienced was the shot to numb your mouth but that lasts about 3 seconds. Overall, I would definitely recommend Dr. Ayik to anyone in need of dental work. Dr. Woodson and his staff are so extremely kind and accommodating! After being in a serious motor accident, I was in urgent need of a root canal (in order to get crowns/veneers done). The office immediately got me in for a consultation, during which time Dr. Woodson offered to begin the root canal, despite my neck brace and limited jaw movement. He also "built" up my severely chipped tooth to make me feel better about the appearance of my smile while I waited to get veneers done. The staff was extremely sympathetic to my situation. Dr. Woodson's dental assistant held my hand through the entire procedure and helped calm my nerves. I made an appointment with Dr. Ayik for a root canal based off a referral and to my surprise he actually took my insurance! Brownie points for being in network. The five stars is because I genuinely had the best experience I've ever had at a dentist-like office. The staff is friendly, personable and professional. I had a root canal that was finished in 30 minutes, numbing and all. I didn't feel any pain and left in much better shape than when I came in. He even gave me the name of a dentist in network since I didn't have one(who by the way is getting five stars for heir excellent service as well). Dr. Woodson performed a root canal on a lower molar and I will say it was the most pleasant experience. I anticipated pain and the possibility of my crown cracking when he drilled to get to the root. I was referred to Woodhill by my primary dentist, Dr. Reddy at Dental Loft after she determined I needed a root canal. I have to say my whole experience with this office has been amazing- I was able to get in quickly and the front desk is so helpful. Dr Ayik is friendly, wonderful and did such a fantastic job with my tooth. It ended up taking 3 appointments as it was infected but the process went smoothly and I feel so much better now. I could go on and on how wonderful visiting Dr Ayik was. I was referred here by my new dentist after my old dentist made a mistake and caused a lot of pain and damage to my SMILE! I was here for a root canal after a serious infection in my gum and tooth. Root canal took about 10 minutes, they were so kind and gentle and patient. I was a mess and a big baby! I was so afraid because of my experience a few weeks earlier with my old dentist. Dr Ayik was wonderful and soothing. I have been dealing with this initial tooth pain since Oct 3 and go back Wednesday for a follow-up visit. My issue is basically over, thanks to Dr Ayik.I HIGHLY recommend this office for any oral surgery, ESPECIALLY a root canal.
